Sheraton Melbourne Hotel

Absolute shambles. We had two interconnecting rooms booked with my wife and two small kids for my 40th birthday. It was confirmed and reconfirmed by email AND phone. When we turned up they had no room for us. The manager James tried to make it out that it was my wife’s fault. They offered no solution. When we suggested that they needed to fix it they asked how. We said an upgrade. They refused, saying they were booked out (fair enough) and then grudgingly offered a connected suite on one tier above. As if we ever would stay here again after they ruined this special day. Don’t ever risk staying with these absolute clowns.

Dirty on arrival called to have bed linen changed as was oily and covered in hair promptly changed by 2 men while 3 of us were getting ready to go out for dinner! Mould in bathroom no robes generally dirty make up mirrors didn't work.woke up showered to find no towels just 9 bath mats?
Booked for breakfast and was told I hadn't by staff only to double check booking to find i indeed had
Took all this up with manager and was offered a bottle of wine a 8 am! No thanks
Avoid this place discraceful and an embarrassment to the brand, @$500 per night stay at the Westin or the Langham never again for us.

Amazing hotel with very good staff and the hotel is also in the middle of the city. Too many restaurants around the hotel if you don't wanna eat at the hotel. Amazing rooms with a walk in shower. Beautiful

Staff were excellent. However, the room was small and not worth the money. We paid $355 for a king bed with city view but was really disappointed with the view and the size of the room.

Room was clean, the staff were very kind and accommodating. It also smells beautiful. I will definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.

Good hotel. I visit Melbourne regularly for business and I will keep coming back to this hotel.

Hotel in the best location in Melbourne right next to the Parliament. Very suitable for business trips. The suites are fabulous and the bathrooms huge.

Stayed there for a mini staycation due to circumstances 2 weeks ago.

The staff is amazing especially Jamie the manager was very empathetic and understanding towards our situation, we had a sick and fussy eating Toddler With us and they took immense care of us and our wellbeing.
Went out of the way many times as well With their service ️

Stayed here for a week and had an amazing experience. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating and ensured we were well looked after the whole time. The room was also very clean and spacious. Would definitely recommend!

I booked a one night stay at The Sheraton recently and am so disappointed with my experience. There were multiple problems!
1. I had to change rooms after settling into my room as my tv wasn’t working

2. Then in my new room my mini bar fridge wasn’t working.

3. The next morning I ordered a breakfast which was $23 and the poached eggs were raw and cold. I sent it back and then it happened again so I skipped breakfast!

4. I had organised a late check out which was confirmed at my check in. I then had a male house keeper abruptly enter my room without knocking. I then contact reception to re-confirm that I had a late check out which they said was correct

5. Not even an hour later the same male house keeper entered my room again without knocking. He actually took a few steps into the room saw me and tried to rush out without even apologising! This was a complete invasion of my privacy!

The manager then phoned my room to apologise. He offered a very small discount and offered me food even though I was already served raw eggs.

I am a hospital health care worker and booked a room at the Sheraton for a relaxing night away which turned out to be an awful and uncomfortable experience.

Have stayed here twice now. Originally we chose the hotel partly because of the 15 (?) meter lap pool, and that didn't disappoint, very clean water and surrounds, not too cold, very nice to swim in. Both stays were two nights. On the second stay, just completed, we booked a twin queen room, which was nice and spacious. Bad points - the room clock had been left set on a 630am alarm and it duly went off on the first morning. Grrrrrr. I unplugged it, but the housemaid plugged it in again, so I unplugged it again for the second night. Informed reception, but they didn't seem to see it as a problem. Grout in bathroom is looking a little worse for wear/grubby in some parts. There are no personal reading lights above bed, just spots in ceiling, and you can only have them on or both of them off at the same time, so if one party wants to read, the other has to stare into a light. Pajamas weren't folded when room was made up (not a biggie, but every other place we have stayed at does it, so why not the Sheraton? Maybe it's a COVID restriction?). Good points - Internet is a bit clunky to connect, ditto getting streaming going to the TV from my phone, but once connected it's the best quality TV and image I have experienced in a hotel room. Have already mentioned the pool, which is very good indeed. Good places to eat almost directly outside, esp.the excellent Argentinian restaurant and the breakfast place on the corner of Spring St. The hotel's Little Collins Cafe still isn't open (the website is bit misleading in this respect). The first floor bar/buffet looking very inviting although we didn't use it (probably will next time). Reception staff very welcoming and helpful, so full marks to them. The drinks bar (can't remember the floor) was good for a pre-dinner drink. Would we stay again? Absolutely yes.

Short getaway during weekend post lockdown. We had a great time. Stayed at the executive suite, the room amenities were immaculate. The breakfast menu is also good even though I expect the buffet type breakfast but due to Covid restriction, we can only have an ala carte menu. I was asking for a late checkout and they allow me to have a late checkout to 3 pm with only a small additional fee. All staff are so friendly. I am having a great time.

Spent 2 nights in this hotel during lockdown with our aunty and uncle who had to have a procedure in hospital. Rooms were clean and spacious, with the service from staff outstanding. They were very courteous and extremely accomodating, which made our stay relaxed and enjoyable under the circumstances.
Will definitely be staying here again!

Had an absolutely amazing Anniversary Getaway.we loved the stay and the service was wonderful! The Guest service Manager Menaka and the staff were so helpful and friendly! Thank you for the lovely stay!

An amazing hotel that is a stones throw away from everything. The room, pool, views and gym were great! Definitely exceeded my expectations.

What topped it off, however, is the service provided by staff. Huge thank you to Carlos and the team who, not only ensured everything was taken care of, greeted everyone with kindness and hospitality. Keep an eye out for him!

Amazing doesn't even come close to reflecting how this hotel is.
The room is magnificent. The bedding is phenomenal. The view is just spectacular.

The pool is stunning. Had the whole thing to myself for an hour. Loved the Jets. The sauna is marvellous (although a bit much for me).

The gym is so well set up with a nice view.

The staff have been brilliant.

It's in such a great location and with good parking nearby.

I'll definitely be coming back here

The Sheraton exceeded my expectations with their professional but personable customer service. The room was clean and room service was prompt. Finally the location was very convenient; close enough to the main social areas of Melbourne but distant enough that you can avoid loud crowds! Highly recommend to anyone wanting to treat themselves!

Multiple things broken in the room, other guests being let in to our room by mistake, staff unclear about simple information such as breakfast during check in. It was an average stay but definitely not a "5 star" experience.

2018, pr our wedding we stayed 2 night's.payed $1020.customer service was horrible, when we came from our wedding, the room was not cleaned.staff were not nice and friendly. As a bride i made the wrong decision to stay at Sheraton. BIG MISTAKEN!

Came to the Spa for a massage and facial treatment package. The whole experience was first class. We have regular massages and this was as good as any massage we have had anywhere. The hydration facial was wonderful too. Well done and thankyou to the team for a fantastic experience.:)
