Sheraton Melbourne Hotel

The staff were friendly and the rooms were nicely decorated, modern and clean. A place you can feel comfortable in. Also felt were safe in abd around the area.

Awkward entrance and placement of check-in counter. Service was good and staff were friendly. They noted a late check-out was provided but locked us out of our room by 11 AM. A slight oversight.

Pool was nice but steam room was out of order.

Good hotel and location, but staff all seemed very new at their jobs, with a friendly attitude.

I used to work in a hotel in Australia so I'm review it base on what I learnt from my ex work place and the experience when I travel to other hotel.

Room:
It's clean overall but the bin had a medical trash left from the previous customers. Therefore I took one star away. Bathtub is big and bathroom is big too. However I would expect the toilet will be sperate from the shower.

Service:
Overall staff are quite friendly. However, when we checked in, there's something wrong with the Bathtub. I ringed up the front desk and they said they would send someone up. After 15 minutes still no one, and I ringed up again, and wait another 15 minutes. There wasn't anyone showing up. So I have to go down to the front desk in person in order to actually get someone sent up. Not sth I would expect in a five star hotel.
Secondly, when I booked the hotel I made a note that I would be celebrating anniversary. The hotel message me back few hours after the booking and said they are happy that we choose them to celebrate this important occasion. Unfortunately during our stay, non of the staff mention that at all. Where I used to work, we would see the note left by the customer like what occasion, and we will use that information as part of the initial greeting and conversation. That isn't what I expected in this expensive five star hotel.

Location:
Yes it's near a metro station. And near the city centre. However the metro station won't really get you anywhere. I wouldn't blame this on the hotel tho, it's poor transportation in Melbourne in general. One thing is that you can pretty much have the same location advantage as long as your hotel is within the city. Although I gave this a 5/5, I don't think this stand out from other hotel.

Overall:
The hotel is small, not much facilities. It's surrounded by other building and the entrance is small. It's basically like a four star or three star hotel with more friendly staff, no hygiene issue, and a pool (although small, and no hot sperate jacuzzi).

The breakfast is okay. Not much food at all like what you will get in a four star hotel. However the each food are at it finest.

I would only recommend this hotel if it is because of the bathtub or the brand. The location is not worth it. If you don't need a bathtub, there's way better and cheaper options out there.

Stayed here on a Friday night as a little trip away from home in the city. Reception service was amazing and staff were very friendly and welcoming. Also received a free glass of champagne on arrival. Rooms were clean with a spacious bathroom that had a bathtub and separate shower. Was lucky to also have breakfast included in the stay in the morning. Chefs will cook your egg however you please and left feeling very full! The general manager also made an effort to walk around and introduce himself and chat to all guests at breakfast which I thought was really lovely. Swimming pool was really nice and clean and quite spacious. Definitely would stay here again in the future!

Great rooms not overly big but enuf room with good on call room service.very good service.

Excellent stay, very friendly and helpful staff. Nice convenience touches such as free water in the room and good quality tea and coffee.

Thank you Sheraton Melbourne! A first time visit was greeted with some Champagne on checkin. The location in the city is great. Away from the normal crowds. Some might be put off by the fact the building is mostly surrounded by taller buildings. But I am ok with the nestled feeling. Staff are very welcoming and friendly.

We recently stayed there for our anniversary. We had a wonderful time. The staff went out of their way to make our experience exceptional and it was much appreciated. Wonderful location in the heart of everything cool and in vogue. Thank you again!

Nice and clean place. I feel safe during our stay. Staff are nice and friendly and helpful. All good.

Very near to parliament train station but need to exit from Collins Street exit. Had a company event here, staff was polite and helpful. But a couple of them seem lost. There were a few company events held on the same level and not clear labelling was placed on refreshment areas and I felt really annoyed after my colleagues and I were being told 2 times that the coffee at the locations that we have poured from were meant for another company. These coffee counters were so close to each other and without label.
One bad service that they have done was to told us to put back the coffee we have poured.
Lunch was not bad.

Great stay for 3 days.
Staff are absolutely lovely. We arrived early and Laila did everything to get checked in earlier. She was a delight to deal with and a big smile on her face each time. All the staff we dealt with were incredibly friendly and helpful.

Great location to explore the main sites of Melbourne, and lots of cafes, bars and restaurants nearby.

Buffet breakfast was delicious, congee and cooked to order eggs were available and fresh.
Chefs were incredibly friendly and helpful too.

Only negative I found was the delivery fee for room service. Not something I would expect. However it was prompt and the cocktails were great.

I would say this is more 4 star hotel than 5, but the staff and location really make it a great place to stay. Will be back again for sure.

Amazing hotel close to the most happening place in Melbourne
SPA has really rejuvenated me

I tried the spa yesterday，it was a nice expereince, highly recommend Jane, she was so attentive and friendly. Room is clean and with nice vibes. The QR code they gaved me doesn't work, so I write a reivew at here. Anyway, I will back again, thanks!

I was a little disappointed with my visit. The location of this hotel is great and the rooms are lovely but the service was very average. It also bothered me that the Terrace Bar is only open two nights each week so you have to be lucky to find it open.

Noisy city hotel.
Here for the facial and spa as a birthday gift but left the room feeling so disappointed. At the end of the session I looked at mirror my face still have makeup on and no way a professional spa will send customer out like this.

Prior to entering the room I asked if she wants me to remove the makeup first (only had eye makeup on) and I used to do this at other spa location as it is easier to do it myself.

Trying to feedback to the lady at front she just walked away WITHOUT acknowledging and listening, I resorted to writing this review publicly after encountering the front desk attitude. Their attitude is “telling” me “I already took your money so please have your tea and out. ” Had asked for feedback form at the premise itself; took 5 min for them to locate?

Room was nice inside but when you book this hotel mainly for the balcony and it has scaffolding all around it. Not happy at all. Yes they discounted the room but over priced for what we paid for

Accommodation is a nice place, however the restaurant is terrible, menu is very average, pub food quality but you pay for hotel price, service of the waiters are very good! They are nice but not very experience, simply not good enough as a Sheraton standard

The one redeeming feature of our stay over Easter was the staff of the hotel who could not do enough to help us, the service level was 5 star but that is where it all ends.

The room we booked at a near $800 per night was a so called suite, however it would be more realistic to call it a very junior suite. Whilst the bedroom was light and airy with views across to parliament the lounge was small dark with dated tatty wallpaper, it was more of an entrance leading into the room than a lounge, with a small sofa and awkwardly placed tv, and leading onto a very small balcony. The bathroom was small and sandwiched between the lounge and bedroom containing a singe wash basin, shower, bath and toilet.

On arrival the bed was broken and needed to be repaired, the mattress was old, poor quality and definitely not pocket sprung as you would expect in a hotel of this grading, you could feel every movement in bed and it was not comfortable.

Towels were small, very poor quality, no bath sheet and only one towel person - we had to ask for more towels. No stocked minibar in the room was another short coming.

Very disappointed given the price tag.
