Seasons Provedore reviews
76We were sitting here for 3 hours, because we just wanted to try as much as we could fit in after our first meal:) Absolutely amazing gnocchi with prawns, beautiful gnocchi with mushrooms, and first time ever we tried black pasta We had a table with the view of lady making pasta, just in front of us. I felt like I’m in Milan again. I wish I could make it all at home Thank you guys, we will come back!
Lovely restaurant with very friendly staff delivering excellent service. We had a gnocchi with the lamb ragu and squid ink pasta with seafood both of which were delicious and generous in portion. We left very full and very happy!
Great dining environment and meals! Highly recommendedThe service staff is very friendly and considerate~
Excellent food and great service… gnocchi is made fresh and is perfectly cooked, absolutely delicious. Authentic Italian food at its best! I would recommend the saffron seafood risotto and any gnocchi dishes.
Lovely restaurant, best I’ve been to on lygon street so far! Arancini was absolutely amazing, gnocchi was tasty & carbonara was nice and creamy! Garlic bread was also amazing. Definitely recommend.
I had a disappointing squid ink risotto here today. It was 36 dollars. With such a price, the quality of seafood didn’t meet my expectation. Pizza was ok with a reasonable price. The seasoning was fine, and the look of food was also very nice. Staffs here are friendly too. That’s the reason that I gave a three stars. However, I won’t visit here again.
Food was tops. I had a seafood risotto that tasted so good. I literally annihilated that plate after having a bunch of beers and cheesy garlic bread. Then followed it up with a panna cotta. Staff were legends.
Absolutely phenomenal food and service! Could not have asked for a better way to spend the evening. Our whole family ate here and each dish was impeccable. Impossible to fault. Very keen to go back soon.
Iam declaring it without a doubt that this is one of the most delicious dishes i have ever had. I feel privileged and honored to eat it.
The seafood Pasta was over cooked for $40?
Ordered bruschetta (saying serves 2)
I assumed serves two people not just
two small pieces for $10
oysters the size of pipi’s for $40
With a side of drinks
Wouldn’t go there again
Only positive was staff were lovely
Overpriced for what you get compared to other restaurants at Lygon
Great service & delicious food.
Cheesy garlic bread is definitely a must have, especially with the sauce that it comes with.
Was on my way to another restaurant but it's closed. The waiter of the restaurant was the only one who greeted me when I was passing by, so I decided to give it a shot. Service was pretty good. Food was served pretty fast. Pasta tased good just sauce was a bit salty, which overshadowed the natural taste of the seafoods.
Attentive wait staff, phenomenal pasta with the right amount of sauce and toppings, lovely interior, great service and you can watch them make and dry the pasta in front of you
Walking along Lygon, a young man outside Seasons Provedore alerted us to the fact that their restaurant had been awarded “something or other” from the Italian government. With our interest piqued, eyes soon turned to the owner making fresh pasta in the window, with strands of spaghetti hung drying above beautifully shaped gnocchi below. The theatre of it all convinced us. Let’s give it a shot.
The bruschetta as a quick starter was gorgeous, with lush drizzles of balsamic glaze, thin shaves of Parmesan, fresh rocket and of course, carefully diced tomato - served on springy thick-cut slices of crispy sourdough.
The spaghetti carbonara with its overly generous serves of pancetta, velvety cream sauce (without too much cream, but just enough to coat the pasta so that the spaghetti remained the star of the show - this is how the original recipe was), and a driving layer of pepe to add some sharp spice, all adds up to the most spectacular plate of pasta I have ever eaten (my sincerest apologies to my friends in Rome’s Trastevere). This was a carbonara of truly biblical proportions. I was clueless that carbonara could be this indulgent.
The Margherita Pizza was very good but the thin crust isn’t my preferred base for pizza, I’m more a fan of the Napoli style of puffy salty dough. Nonetheless, the tomato base was satisfying and certainly worthy of praise because we kept remarking how good it was.
Service was attentive and very friendly, we chatted with the wonderful owner afterwards and her passion for her restaurants’s food is obvious. This is how a restaurant experience should be - surprises, warmth, smiles, laughter and a hearty sense of being privileged enough to have experienced a master at work. My only regret is the fact I live in Sydney and can’t visit often enough to try everything on the menu.
Hai messo calore nei nostri cuori stasera.
I've been here a feq times before and loved it, but this time it was a bit of a shmoz. We waited over an hour for food even though we ordered an appetiser of cheesy garlic bread thinking that would come out first but everything came out all at once.
We had a bolognaise and a pizza, the bolognaise was yummy, the pizza toppings were tasty but the base itself wasn't cooked. It was still doughy but we were starving so just ate most of it.
Understandable that times have been tough and perhaps they're short on staff. Our waitress kept apologising, we reassured her it is not her fault and to not worry, She was lovely.
Perhaps a bit more communication from staff advising that there will be a wait for food, prior to ordering would be appreciated.
We were upstairs, there was no music or atmosphere which was disappointing (I haven't sat up there before only on the outside dining which is fun).
Will still go back as the pasta really is delicious, would just appreciate some communication for the wait if there is to be one. Would have happily waited the extra 5 for a properly cooked pizza.
Great freshly made gnocchi and very speedy service. A little difficult to carry on a conversation with people showing off how loud their Harleys are but hey, it's Lygon St. Would eat here again for sure.
The most amazing gnocchi we have ever had! Hand made fresh in the front window of the shop by mama. Service was great and super friendly with the chef even coming to the table to talk. Highly recommend and will definitely come back again and again!
Was impressed at this restaurant at first, but I changed my mind - worst service ever and will not ever step foot near this restaurant with a 10 foot pole.
Amazing food topped with even more incredible genuine service. The marinara and gnocchi is NOW our favourite. We came from Perth and Bline straight to seasons for dinner knowing how incredible it is and it's already continued to exceed our expectation
Delicious gnocchi, up there with the best we've eaten. Busy venue, offered table upstairs which we accepted, recommend downstairs or outside. Respectfully - needs a good clean and tidy up but given we were there to eat and run, the food was amazing
