This is what I’ll say:

Cool building though with high ceilings and exposed warehouse ducting…

I’m grateful that they took our large booking with only a few hours notice - and they were super helpful with sorting our birthday cake and providing knife and plates etc to chop it up…. However two main concerns:

Food took honestly 56mins to come out - and numerous people who weren’t even in the restaurant when we ordered got their food before us - I normally don’t mind but when you have lots of kids you have to get food out promptly for kids sake.
My only other comment was that the food was not plated particularly nicely for the price tag nor “I’ll be back in a hurry awesome”…. A bit more effort in this department would go a long way to a good experience.

All in all….
This place is solid - certainly not “the best food ever” or any of those over the top comments…. But certainly not bad …. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed but I don’t think you’ll be wowed either ….

This is a very nice and cozy place to have a meal with family and friends. The food is absolutely amazing with very affordable price.

The lemon tiramisu was great but I may have picked the wrong main. I would love to try it again soon.

Very nice vibe and friendly staff, but the food was very disappointing, especially at this price point.

Main dish pasta special wasn’t very special. Bread and wine was good tho. Good cozy environment

Scugnizzo is our go to place whether it be for a romantic dinner or a group dinner with friends or work colleagues. We have been here many times and the food is always exquisite, the staff are absolutely amazing, led by the friendliest, most professional maitre d' we have ever had the pleasure of meeting. The ambience of the place is fantastic, with exposed brick, original art works, classical table settings, all creating a warm cosy feel. As a bonus, a pleasurable dining experience here, comes at a suprisingly reasonable cost. In fact, it is not much more than an outing at most of Melbournes trendy pubs! The meals on offer range from traditional pizzas, calamari, soup, anti pasto, pastas, through to more fine dining meals such as fish, rabbit, duck, ragu, and my favourite, char grilled steak. In fact, I can easily say that their char grilled steak would be my 'death row last meal'! There is also a great drinks list including a large array red and white wines, craft beers, ciders, spirits, cocktails and mocktails. I would describe Scugnizzo as a cross between Italian fine dining, with a relaxed atmosphere. We always walk away from Scugnizzo with full bellies and a smile on our faces. We have already booked our next outing at Scugnizzo. On a numbers scale, this is our 10/10 restaurant every single time. Thanks once again, to all the chefs, the maitre d', waiters and bar staff at Scugnizzo for another pleasurable evening.

Had dinner for our 1st Wedding Anniversary here, Arno was an amazing host. Food was awesome!

Charming italian restaurant tucked in a quiet little street, the vibe was very cozy and inviting. They gave us complimentary bread as well as some delicious fried focaccia balls. I had the gnocchi and I enjoyed it, the sauce was very flavorful and the pasta was cooked perfectly. I also tried the ravioli but didn’t like it much as it had a sweet taste.

Great Italian restaurant. Lovely friendly staff and reasonable prices. Nothing was too much bother and they were happy to cater to requests. Fast and efficient.

My wife had the gluten free penne which she said was excellent and I had one of their pizzas which, also, was excellent. The staff were also very attentive.

What an amazing experience! This place is a must to go and visit! The main chef was even out helping the guests as they were so busy

We are from Sydney and have never experienced anything like the amazing people here, have to try the prawn pasta!

Real Italian food made by Italians, my business guests are always complimentary about the flavour when we leave!

The environment is so well-designed, you have to try Magherita and spaghetti ingredients are fresh and dishes have a very rich taste. Service is good as well.

3 course meal was terrific compliments to the chef and his crew. Staff were also very nice and so friendly.

Just have to say that was one of the best pizzas I’ve ever eaten. The base stayed crunchy, didn’t go soggy, and was so fluffy. The toppings were delicious.

The stand out, though, was the service. Absolutely above and beyond friendly and attentive. Can’t wait to return. Have already recommended it to a friend.

This is hands down some of the best food we have tasted in a while. That was absolutely amazing. Compliments to the chef.

I went there, with for of my friends and we all loved what we have. The staff makes your night, they are lovely. Amazing place to get meeting.
