We visited the place before it relocated to the outside. Still, I don't really like this place as the portion was really small and not worth the price tbh. We ordered matcha and thai milk tea, taste ok tho.

Really disappointed with the recent renovation. The new concept seems a bit lost. The portion seems off for individual or even sharing. It’s way pricier. And the topping is no longer on top? Doesn’t make sense at all. You have to dig halfway through which means you no longer have the first scoop excitement.

The only good thing is taste wise it’s still the same only if you pick the ‘right’ topping. Wish they would’ve kept the old concept. Would rather go somewhere else with properly served bingsu now.

Everybody has same reasons for giving 1 star. It’s was 5 stars before the change. Probably saving lots of money from this style.

The old Scoopy's was poppin ️ so when we came back to Melbourne we made it a thing to get dessert from here again. Happy they made a proper store but the vibe isn't the same. Flavour slightly different due to disposable cutlery and your toppings are on the bottom. Although I don't like the self serve concept they've given - their set flavours were already great! No need to capitalise on heavy handed husbands (aka my husband)
This is also going to sound crazy BUT hear me out. I swear half of the toppings of the Sunny Mango I had added to my cup were missing by the time I got my iced dessert. Had absolutely no mochi or popping pearls yet paid through the nose for this dessert! I saw their technique is to transfer the toppings, so they likely popped out of the transfer bowl at that point.

Love the mango and lychee bingsu. Be much better if the shop provides real spoons. Having to use paper/disposable spoons detracts from the experience.

Please bring back the old version of the Scoopy milk bar, so disappointed.
It used to be my top favourite dessert place but no more. Not even a probably bolw or tray, cut down everything and make it more expensive. Everything looks like cheap takeaway food. No one organises table, no customer service.

It's surprisingly good. Always have crowd and busy. My only objection is price. Definitely worth a try, but don't get addicted.

One of the best shaved ice desserts you can get in Melbourne. I've had shaved iced where the flavour is added on-top of the ice, whereas this one the flavour was frozen to begin with and then shaved. Every bite was very flavourful.

My first time trying this and was pleasantly surprised! The ice-cream is light and fluffy, the milk adds to the flavour and all the toppings tasted amazing with the ice cream. I ordered the mango one and would love to try more flavours when back in Melbs! Price might be a little high, but it's still very nice.

All are amazing but the honeydew is something else also must try the blueberry popping pearls

First time tried Bingsu. The mango flavour was okay and service was good. But the place was seriously has a very strong smell/stink from the entrance door all the way to the back. The smell was very potent! Definitely not coming back to this place unless they move to different location.

Great taro bingsu at the right size.

Nice little place that is somewhat hidden. Ordered a Taro bingsu for one and came out fairly quickly. It was delicious but maybe a little pricey. I would definitely bring others to check out the place.

Good proportions of the bingsu and the jellies let you try out different combinations and some room to double down on just the bingsu.

Atmosphere of the place is great and nicely themed, plenty of warm lighting if you like that kind of thing.

Not too sweet shaved ice dessert, with an option to make it sweeter with a separate condensed milk. A bit overpriced given the size - for sharing is good for one person only.

Staff more focussed on chatting instead of working. Friendly enough but extremely slow to complete or even begin orders.

Awful staff, mediocre food. My partner and I went while it was pretty quiet, only one group of other customers there.

After we ordered, we could see our food being made. It then sat on the counter for 15 minutes while the 5 staff stood around it and chatted. They then brought only one of the bingsu to us, followed by the other a few minutes later. But by then our bingsu was melted and spilled on the tray and bowl.

The food was nothing to write home about, you can get similar or better bingsoo at other places around the city. Will not be coming back here.

We went at a pretty quiet time so most of the staff were chatting amongst themselves when we sat down which is completely understandable. Once we'd ordered we could see our food being made.

Our food was left at the topping station for 5 or so minutes before anyone began adding the toppings. In that time, only one other item was served before ours and most of the time we were waiting was spent with all four of the staff talking above our order. Then after they had finally began working on our order, the girl piping cream on top stopped during the middle of it to go and talk to a friend of hers who had just shown up to the store.

Then once BOTH of our orders were ready, they were left on the counter for another 5 minutes before one of our orders was brought over, two minutes later they brought the other one over both melting.

Infuriating experience listening to staff gossip about their friend group while watching your order slowly melt, especially when the orders aren't cheap.

To be clear, I completely understand minimum wage workers talking to eachother about their life in downtime, but when someone's order is ready to be taken to them that should get priority over most non job related things. Furthermore, I shouldn't be able to hear every word of this conversation from a seat on the opposite side of the store.

Hidden in an aesthetic greenery filled alleyway, easily the best bingsu/shaved ice spot in Melbourne, but also Australia. They use a different type of ice from all the other bingsu places that prevents it from melting into a bowl of liquid halfway through your meal. Sulbing, Mango coco, Meet fresh etc.all suffer from this issue.

Have had almost all the flavours on the menu and they are consistently bring out new flavours. I highly recommend the taro, mango, or thai milk flavours. Toppings compliment each flavour well and not unbearably sweet. If you prefer it to be sweeter they also provide condensed milk for you to add to your liking.

There is always a line during dessert time, especially on the weekend, so I would go earlier (before 7) and on a weekday if I wanted to miss the line.

The best bingsu I’ve ever had in Melbourne! Flavours are strong and not overwhelmingly sweet. The staff are so friendly and vibes there are elite. Will defs be back

Good food but I do not know what is the service charge for, the only time the staff provide service is to give us the dessert, took like 5 seconds.
All the rest of the time we are ordering and paying from the QR code.
They did not even provide water for us, so getting a service charge is not really considerate

Compared to the other places I would say time and effort really went into the preparation of these. Well worth the wait.
