Perfect experience with kids to show them the science progress through the time. The moon exhibition is very interesting and it is a good chance to see the dark side. Furthermore prices of the tickets are reasonable.

Its a must do melbourne attraction. No matter the age its a great half day out. Cant recommend the lightning show and planetarium enough. Small issue, lots of kids running around carelessly

Went there with my 3 year old son who absolutely loved it and had a ball. Spent a few hours checking out the toddler area and some of the other exhibits, followed by a show in the planetarium. Great value and highly recommended.

Always love coming to scienceworks. Great for the kids to have sensory play and for older kids to learn. Even adults can learn and have fun. School holidays can get very crowded so I recommend week days and come early as there is always a line for entering.

Had a fantastic time discovering allthe wonderful science displays as a family. Also witnessed the live lightning presentation. Worth going to discover the weird and wonderful.

Always good for kids but what were they thinking with the renovation upstairs? It was sooooo much better before, if a little worn. Upstairs was totally empty of people which says it all!

Always a great time at scienceworks. The “kids day in” themed days are great we have been to a few of them and would highly recommend

Great place for kids and adults, with a variety of activities and exhibits to interest anyone. We spent all afternoon here with our 7 and 3 year olds, and didn't even see all the main exhibits, let alone the extra cost ones. Of course a good part of our time was at the indoor and outdoor playgrounds, which were great. The sport-science exhibit also had lots of active games to play. Definitely worth a return visit!

Kids cannot get enough!

We'll need ten trips to thoroughly interact with everything.

Both kids were able to actively participate in the Lightning Room, although while Mr 10 had a blast, Miss 4 got frightened and ran back to the family.

Staff were mixed - some very friendly and helpful, others were absolutely horrid.

The observatory was amazing.

Will be back over and over again!

Went to the planetarium recently. Was pretty disappointing. One show goes for an hour and no discussion of the sky or stars. I used to live in Brisbane and at their planetarium they would show a film and then show a projection of the current night sky and teach people how to find constellations and give a bit of education. Shame Melbourne is lagging behind in this.

Very good science museum. I love the little kids day in special events held on the first Monday every month for kids between 0 to 5. It's a fun place to explore. The planetarium is amazing. The special zone for kids to play is interactive. Worth becoming a museum member.

Been there with my close friend. The museum live show "A ticket to universe" is amazing and filled with a funny yet informative narration. There is also a lot of games and science works which are great to be played. Superb!

Very nice and clean. Activities are well put together but the place is very small.could do with some expanding and perhaps incorporation of activities aimed at older age groups!

A museum of very different kind, emphasising on implementation of many scientific concepts and evolution through easy display. My kids love it and seems like every other kids did the same. Added bonus was the planetarium with a great show on Universe. There are 3 different kinds of show depending on the time of the day you visit.
Highly recommended for kids and adults likewise.

Great place with young children, quieter after the children school parties have left at 2pm. Bring packed lunch as cafe is overpriced and not much selection.
