Sarawak Kitchen reviews
80Had their foo-chow style fried noodle and it was no where close to what i had tried previously. It was in a bowl of watery broth with not much flavour at all. Quite disappointed in both the quality and flavour. Please bring back the quality you used to have.
If you are hankering after some Sarawakian fare, this would be the place to drop in on to satisfy your cravings. Moderate price range. Tight squeezey space. Very busy little cafe restaurant. Yes I would come back again.
Another great place to fill up my noodle shooters when I'm outta noodles - after all gotta catch them bad guys ;) Oh and don't confuse me with spiderman.he shoots webs while I shoot noodles from my trusty wrists: P
Had Hainan chicken for lunch and asked for a glass of water. My order was extremelly late because the waitress forgot to put into the system. I were offered no apology. I also haven't got the glass of water I asked twice about.
Eh. Got their home made noodles with bbq pork. It was okay. Noodles were a bit soggy for my taste, I’m used to this dish being made with egg noodle which keeps its firmness a bit better.
It is one of the best Malaysian restaurant. The service is quick, the food taste good and the place is cozy enough. Teh and kopi is good, recommend to try the kampoa noodle
Really nice place to chill, drink beer and chat with your friends. The only downside is sometimes its full and the waiting list are pretty long. Other than that, this place is awsome
Wheelchair accessible! The kolo mee is not what I come here for, but for the great fried vermicelli! I love both the foochow fried vermicelli and the Singaporean fried vermicelli and totally appreciated that they kept it to true Singaporean ‘zi char’ style and didn’t add curry powder to bastardise the dish. The special fried rice is also quite good. Staff are usually helpful if they are not busy. Teh tarik is nice here. We also tried the lemon chicken with rice and that was really tasty. Menu is on the cheaper side so it won’t break the bank to eat often here!
Southern Malaysian street food at its best. Great for a quick meal with loads of flavours. My personal favourite - the kway teow.
Already went there a few visit. Love the claypot short rice noodles and Sarawak laksa is delicious too.
I absolutely love the Kampua and Kolo noodles. Get the large serving if you're hungry. They never fail to hit the spot! I can't speak more highly of the flavour and texture of the noodles. They're a match made in heaven!
Great street eating with traditional flavours. I was expecting mine to be spicy hot given it has sambal in the name, but sadly it wasn't. The flavours were good and the food will prepared, it was delivered quickly and hot. Smiling waitress. Very enjoyable meal.
Not the first time here but I’m feeling the quality is dropping very very significantly.it used to be de best place to ease my crave for my hometown comfort food.but my last visit tells me I should start looking for other places.the Penang fried kiew tiew is ok, the tomato kiew tiew is way below average (if you mix the two together, it will taste better), and the foo chow noodles tasted like un-fried noodles with soy sauce broth.dissatisfaction and disappointed.
Been there multiple times and tried different dishes. Believe me, I always love the taste. You must try their food.
Their specialty noodles are quite interesting. Looks plain but quite flavourful. Staff are friendly and helps you if you can't leave your seat to order.
My home state Sarawak’s specialties/signature dishes especially the Kolo Mee, Kampua Noodle and Sarawak Laksa. The prices are reasonable and enjoy 20% off from selected menu if you dine in or take away from selected items between 3-6pm Monday to Friday.
Having food poison now after I went there for dinner last night. Was warned by a friend for their cleanliness. For the 3 times he’s been there he experience food poisons. I remember some ingredients were cold in my noodles and that might cause the problems.
I used to love this place.but last night failed.they have a $35 MINIMUM on eftpos and will charge you a $1 extra to pay by card below that. I asked to speak with the manager and the waitress serving me said she would rather pay the $1 surcharge herself, so it can't be a great working environment.
+ there was a bug in my partners noodles, though i'm not sure if it was always there or flew in during the meal, i just noticed it squished on the side of her bowl.
+ there is no bathroom for guests.unfortunately the noodles are really tasty but i won't be back.
I've been here in Melbourne for two years and how I wish I've discovered this place earlier. Anyone from Malaysia will be glad to know that Sarawak kitchen serves authentic noodles with enough pork lard and "wok hei". Loh Shi fun here is the bomb.
In classic Asian fashion, service here is not the aim. Small and crowded dining area, paypass limitations and no toilet. As long as MAGIC happens in the kitchen and I can get a hearty meal for less than $12, I'm a happy man.
