Food very average - battered flathead. Haven't been to the hotel in years, Will not return.
I've been coming to this place for years, and it's maintained high standard in its food and drink offer, as well as service. The view from the balcony is great, and on a windy or rainy day provides nice shelter to enjoy it.
Most of the food items are good - nothing spectacular, but still quite satisfying. More than you would expect from a pub /bistro.
I stayed in one of the hotels room for 3 nights. Zero noise from the pub downstairs, very clean, TV fully functional as well as air conditioning. There's no bath tub in my room but that was fine. Breakfast included is a pack left in your room which includes muffin, cereal, small milk and an Up and Go drink. There is a small bar fridge, iron, ironing board, queen bed and a single. Bed was very comfortable. The rooms are cleaned each day.
In my experience it had great customer service, tasty food except the ribs were a bit fatty and didn't like them, but that was my opinion and people are different with what they do and don't like. It was a beautiful place and would come again. 4/5
Love going to the Sandy for Christmas lunch ever year. Arrived early this year because of a mix up and they sat us at our table without a problem. Everything went great.
