Sandringham Hotel / The Sandy

The Sandy is pretty much the family local. It's close to the train and local shops and supermarket.
The beachside views are good and the decor pretty good. This pub is kid-friendly and caters for the young ones.
Menu is not startling but basic and tasty and slightly on the dearer side.

Relaxed, sea views great staff, reasonable prices great variety tap beer live music Sunday afternoons

Yummy Food. Fantastic Staff. Relaxed Atmosphere. We'd been looking for somewhere closeby that made good pub meals and we've finally found it. Well cooked meals alwayd come with crispy, fresh side salads and the chips are always served hot. A winning combination.

I am all about a renovation but unfortunately not a fan of this one, the kids play area (such a drawcard for young families) has been railroaded in favour of an IPad corner for the kids, actually a horrifying idea if you think about it! Too noisy- Food was overpriced and average-won’t be back thanks.

Generous portions at reasonable prices, including kids meals. Fabulous views, great for watching the sunset. Friendly staff, our server being Lauren, who had exceptional customer service

The food and beer was good. The room had a comfy bed, but was a little run down, poorly laid out and had paper thin walls. The squeaky wirly bird outside my window was annoying. I didn't have milk in my fridge 2 of the 3 nights I stayed, and my phone charger mystically went missing. Who needs a working phone on a work trip away?

Have been here several times if late and l must admit we have not been disappointed on any occasion. Great value and the service was up there too.

Lousy service in restaurant.staff were desperate to go hone and made our group feel borderline unwelcome

Didn't have our booking although I had an email confirmation. Had to wait some time for a table while they cleaned the mess left by previous diners. There were many families with children and it was very noisy.

Loved this place on Australia day. Was easy for mum who has a Walker to get around. Staff very friendly!

Nothing Korean about the taco's and the Shanghai lamb ribs were pure sugar, disgusting! The fancy facelift hasn't fooled anyone!

After renovation Sandy is more attractive as a place to stop and have a drink or something to eat
The menu is good and Ross, the bartender makes the best cafe late.

We had a large family group for a dinner and we were railroaded out of the restaurant at 9: 40pm on a Wednesday with the staff itching to go home. Spending megabucks on a refurb does not make up for disappointing customer service

Nicely decorated and friendly staff, good for groups of 2-10 any larger is a bit difficult but the staff will helpfully move the tables around and make space for your group. Nice food and a great drink selection all add up for a satisfying experience. 4/5 stars would recommend if you’re nearby

They control the prices at affordable level but have to balance them with sacrificed quality and quantity

A great place to catch up with a group of friends for casual dining. The grillhouse has had a modern makeover with a technology corner for the kids and the service for food was quick. Our food came out really fast. The zucchini salad and linguine pasta were beautiful. The chicken schnitzel and salad fresh. The flat head tails were a little lackluster and the presentation of the senior meals were so so. We will be happy to come back and try a few more items on the menu next time. Overall a great atmosphere and happy service.

Just love this pub with it's bay views ideal place for a cold beverage and a chill before heading home after a hot day at work or the beach ;¶: √:)
