It’s certainly a spacious pub. It’s well maintained and set up and quite a pleasant place to sit for a while. We’re not into gaming or the sports TV broadcasts. We just wanted one or two drinks. It’s was freezing today and a visionary had made sure to light the fire. Sitting near the fire and catching glimpses of the bay was pretty nice. You can get a half decent glass of wine and spend a little time here for sure. We even grabbed what turned out to be a deconstructed bruschetta which was ok as it goes. Service when getting our wines and the bruschetta was really lovely. The staff member of the week award needs to be conferred on Misty behind the bar. Such a cheery disposition and such beautiful manners.

The only troubling thing here was some of the main meal pricing which looked worryingly high to me. We didn’t get a main meal then and just enjoyed our drinks by the fire. Good times. We’d happily return at some point.

Travelled to rye from Melbourne over the weekend. We were so indecisive of where to eat as I'm a vegeterian! We knew wed made the right choice after being greeted by a lovely man of the name James on Saturday 18th may around 8.00pm! We ordered the soup, cheese pizza and a rib eye. The food was spectacular. James made us feel so welcome, and didnt make use feel rushed. Excellent service from the whole team, great atmosphere aswel! Thanks guys!

Always consistent with the food quality, even better when they have oysters as a special the venue can get quite loud but that obviously shows the amount of people that go here. Fire place is an absolute gem when it’s freezing outside.food is reasonably priced and comes out in perfect timing, same with the drinks.
Overall great place for dinner

We visited this place today and both the managers were absolutely disgusting. Ordered food on "two separate bills" but literally one after the other and only half the food came out. The food that came out was finished and yet we were still waiting for 2 mains for 2 people. We were first told misleading information saying food will be all made in 20 Mins but then after 35 Mins, no food came out. We then nicely asked the waitress to checkup on the food and she literally seemed like she couldn't be bothered working. She never came back to let us know what was going on nor did the food. Went up to the front counter and no apology whatsoever. Just two managers handballing each other saying they can't deal with it. At this stage still no apology and one of the managers started raising his voice and when he was told off for it, claimed that he didn't when he was clearly seen to be aggressive. We spoke to them all nicely but in the end they just had the most disgusting attitude that I've ever seen. We are definitely not coming back here ever again and won't be recommending to anyone either. I would literally give no stars if i could. Their staff need to change their attitude and the way they deal with their customers. Start acting like adults, not kids.

I have frequented the Rye Hotel Bistro on and off for years and have found the staff to be pretty consistent in their rudeness. My most recent visit topped it off when a wait person attempted to clear my table of drink and food when I had gone to the bar to order another drink. On my return there was a patron about to sit in my seat and the staff member was clearing my food etc, when I stated that I had not finished and my meal was still to come she ignored me and continued to clear. I knocked on the table quite firmly and instructed her to leave the table and then I ushered the patron away. Interestingly there were two vacant tables near by. The staff member did not appologise she just mumbled something and walked off. Following this encounter I noticed the other wait staff and manager looking at me as if I shouldn't be there. It had been a few years since I last visited and it reminded me of previous visits. That will be my last visit.

Service was great, food was amazing (gotta love the Parmas) only downside is it's overpriced. $25 for a chicken parma is absolutely ridiculous, other than that had a great time!

Food tasted good but quite a small selection to choose from and for the price there's better options along the strip.

Great food, good atmosphere gets very busy over Christmas period. Public bar has a smaller menu and not as busy if you just want a quick feed. Upstairs of public bar also has two pool tables and juke box so great for parties and work break ups. Home of the 1kg Tomahawk Steak.
