Rye Pub reviews
71A standard busy pub but service was great. Decent food and not too expensive. Good play area for little kids
Dishes are slightly on the small side but very nice food, really good area for the kids to play.
Shout out to Matt and the bar staff for the amazing service - going above and beyond to make our experience memorable!
I only ate here with friends, so I can't say anything about the rooms etc, but the service was exceptional. Staff were super friendly and helpful, and it was just a great experience.
Lunched at Rye Hotel twice this week. Just a well run family friendly pub. Today the lovely bar person was super supportive as I tried to stop my big brother paying for lunch. She had every moment under control and ensured we all had a fabulous family reunion. Just sorry I didn't ask her name. Thank you. A real gem!
Waited over an hour for our meals. My brother also waited an hour to be told "We don't have any cooked pork sorry" so had to reorder. Terrible service. Won't be coming back.
Me and my family came here today for lunch. I'd like to comend this venue for Service, Food and attention to detail toward their clients. From when we arrived until we left. It's a shame other hospitality venues don't do the same. This venue still has it.
Had dinner with my family in the Bistro last night and we were all really happy and impressed with our meals. The Wednesday night Parma deal was great- my Parma was delicious. The service was excellent, staff all very nice and the kids had a fantastic time in the play area.
Dinner was apalling. It was tasteless, my granddaughter hamburgar roll was burnt, we asked if it could be replaced, this was the first eye roll, Ian was rude and not at all welcoming. Rolled his eyes again when we took cutlery from another table because ours wasn't set. Overall will NEVER go there again
Went to the hotel for lunch one Sunday. I jumped in line (after an excessive wait) ordered the $27 pulled pork burger. What I got was disappointing. My burger was a large bun but inside was a pork chop a third of the size. Not only was it pure fat but it wasn’t even pulled pork. The remaining coleslaw and sauces were average along with a chips being thrown onto the corner of the plate.
I’m only leaving 3 starts because the waiters did their best, there was live piano and my horse game 1st.
We decided to spent our anniversary in the area. Great place, super clean room and lovely people! We had a free upgrade to the beach room with the spa, 100% recommended! We will come back
I orderd the chicken schnitzel with mushroom sauce and slaw and chips the sauce was very thin and runny and the chicken was just a thick piece chicken breast crumbed and pan fried it wasn't really a chicken schnitzel food was lurk warm pretty disappointed
Awful! For the high prices one would at least expect meals without hair in them and not chips and old food scraps all over the floor.
Absolutely disgusting, don’t waste your time and money here.
I bought a $25 Lamb souvlaki from the bistro, it’s comes with two, 4cm long sausage type pieces of processed lamb that doesn’t even taste like lamb, and the rest was basic salad.
For a meal at that price and can’t even be served real lamb, seriously?
Not at all amused!
We held a family wake for my recently passed Mum at Rye Hotel, and we were treated like Royalty by James.our rooms were excellent. Our refreshments after the ceremony were excellent. Our evening meals were excellent. Over 40 people attended in total and every single person commented on how well we were looked after.thank you to all staff, but especially to James, whose efforts were MORE THAN EXCELLENT.he went above and beyond to ensure that we received the best possible outcome at all times. A thorough hospitality professional (and I am in the trade myself).
If our experience was anything to go by, I would highly recommend Rye Hotel for your function or conference.
Great work and thanks again, James.
Receptionist was unprofessional that she used her mood to treat customers who checked in due to delay. When customers arrived, she was keeping talking on the phone with management team staff and let the customers kept wait for long time, not helpfully checked in efficient. Around 7.45 PM 19th Jun 2021.
I went today for a meal. I don't think I would go back. The food was average, nothing special. The chicken parma was very rubbery to chew, and the meals looked like they had just been thrown together. Staff didn't look too happy to be there either. Definitely won't be going back.
Double beef burger was awesome! Kids fried Mac and cheese was great too! Good value and great service! Will be back again
Stayed in a beach front premium king suite and room is gigantic and very clean! My 10 month old had heaps of room to play. Had a nice stay with my family. Only down side was their portable cot did not have proper mattress.
Location location and location.this place has the best location. Cross the road is the beach, woolies and shops near by, pub and restaurant downstairs and only 8 minutes from Hot Spring, we had a great room, beautiful beach view, extra large beds and hot Spa bath tub.
Lunch was ok but nothing special. For the price we paid I expected much more than what we received. There's better value around the area for lunch.
