Like stepping back in time, a gorgeous little place bursting with character. Lovely staff, friendly and up for a chat about the history of the place. Thumbs up to you guys.

Staff are friendly, aswell as the prices being cheap, considering the quality of food is the best in Ballarat.

Old school. There's nothing up to date about this joint except the authentic and genuine hospitality provided by John and the staff. It is clean, well stocked and very well frequented. The strong mix of ages present is a sign of the care for all on offer.
Just do it, walk in for a drink and stay all night.

The staff were lovely and friendly, the food was amazing, my husband and I would come back again.

Dear Royal Oak, I hope 'John' is your owner because it's been a long time since I've spoken to someone so rude. If you're wondering who is giving you poor service reviews it may have a lot to do with "we're full, bye" *hang up* John.

Drove down there and not open but there Web site stated 12 pm open.called them and they don't open till 2pm.go figure

Well folks this is the hotel meal in Ballarat if you doubt me call in and try an awesome steal or something else. The salad n veg bar is just too die for. An amazing feed
