Royal FTG Hotel

We are regular customers at the bistro here and have been for some time (probably 3 years?)

The dining room is a very civilised, homely environment that is reasonably well spaced out, and doesn't tend to be too noisy. Glass walls also help give a more open feeling without being cavernous.

The key reason for our attendance is the Senior's meal options. The choice of meals for seniors is excellent, and very cost effective. The portion sizes are very reasonable and the quality is good.

The specials are a little overpriced though, although the choices are usually very good.

The regular menu is expansive enough with plenty of choices - three different parmagianas, steaks, light meals and salads etc.
There are also pizzas and burgers, as well as children's options.

The staff almost always greet you with a smile and upon arrival, quickly seat you. Meals are brought out fairly quickly as well. Staff are highly attentive to cleanliness and maintenance of the facilities.

The only issue is that sometimes vegetables don't seem all that fresh - as if they've come from a giant pot that's been boiling all day. I've been to other hotels (regularly) where vegetables are always fresh - consistently. This is one area where they could improve - otherwise, servings are great.

As nice and civilised as the bistro area is, the poker machine area is a slum. Rough as guts with drunkards wanting to punch on regularly. There is almost a class-line drawn between the bistro and pokies area.

If you're looking for a family-friendly environment for a nice meal, the bistro is ideal.

Had a fantastic night with my parents. Food was delicious, but what made it so special was the amazing service we got from Lizzy. She made us feel so special and ensured we were looked after so well. We definitely will be back. Keep up the great work.

We went for mother's day lunch today.

I had a problem with my steak, although the other 5 were very happy with their meals.

Went here with elderly parents, this meal size is the seniors meals, and plenty big enough. Tasty, didn't take too long unless you arrive after 6pm, by which time there was quite a queue. Dessert is available but looked a little dry in the cabinet.

We had a party of 21 sunday night. Great service staff so accommodating and all meals lovely. 3 birthdays in the one booking 3 cakes and nothing was to much trouble thanks

Popped in for a quick dinner. Very very nice food served in a timely manner. Hotel also has a public bar and pokies out the back for those who wish to donate more money to them. Reasonable food / drink prices and good service.

Usually find meals here fairly good but last evening was an exception. Salt & Pepper calamari was firm, bordering on rubbery and the pasta my husband ordered was only 2 thirds cooked. He couldn't eat it.

Meal just average. Chips warm. Ordered a particular dessert then went to get it there was none left. Could be organised a bit better. Service very good.

My husband & I went to The Royal FTG Hotel for Morning Melodies. We know Andrew Portelli who was singing. Andrew has a brilliant singing voice. As for The Royal. What can we say. The staff were helpful & very friendly. The room for Morning Melodies was well set out & the tablet was well done. The Royal has an excellent Menu choice. I cannot wait to go again. Thank you to the staff.

Great Staff, Great Customer Service. Good for kids, well priced food, been here a few times before, I'd definitely come back and reccomend it to friends!

Staff are friendly and welcoming. Food came out quickly and was delicious and reasonably priced. Well worth trying this place.

Great options for a sit down family dinner in the bistro or a cheaper quick dinner and pot in the bar. Bar meals are awesome value and tasty. Has a Tab and pokies also if you like a pint or challenge a mate on the pool table.

Great food and friendly staff. Only negative was poor speakers which made the music sound quite unpleasant.

Very good friendly staff but food pretty ordinary and not particularly great value. A lot of pokies fortunately in a separate area so could talk fine over dinner.

Large portions reasonable prices and staff friendly and helpful - no complaints but nothing exceptional

Food is usually a bit slow to come out. Dinner rolls are almost always cold and sometimes rock hard.

Pervy dudes fill the sportsbar, not comfortable entering as a woman alone. Couldn't wait for my friends to get there!

Good food, friendly staff. We had two kids meals and a BBQ Meatlovers Parma they were great. Note, the kids spaghetti does not come with chips, but if you demand it you will get them, until they reword the menu. No kids play area. Multiple TVs around to watch. Pokes and sports bar also on site away from the bistro. Wheelchair access throughout.
