6 of us came in for coffee. We ordered 1 drink each and 1 cake at first (2 more ordered afterwards) but when a middle age waitress took our order she rolled her eyes at us and threw some big attitude because we did not order enough food? ! If you think you can not do the job properly pass that oppurtunity to other people. There are a lot of us need the job. Please di not come to work cranky and take it on your customers it s not fair. We pay for our food and pay for you to give us some decent service which we did not expect much. A smile would b nice.

Been to Ripe before - mostly in winter, and it was always enjoyable, but this time for breakfast - just excellent. Seems management has changed hands and the new people have stepped up the service and quality. As for the coffee, well it was about the best coffee we have had in quite a while.fantastic balance of sweetness and fruity acidity, smooth, and good body with just the loveliest aftertaste lasting for the next hour or so. Superb!

I can convincedly say that I had the best scone here. In addition, The servers are friendly and the foods are reasonably priced.
Crisp surface, soft inside led to a sensational combination; crispiness and softness found a mutually agreeable compromise in this cafe.

Drove from the CBD with my partner to try out Ripe for the second time. Found a a table in the front entrance and the waiters attended to us within minutes.
Placed orders.fresh OJ arrived few minutes later and I must say it was sweet and cool tasting. I noticed it was somewhat busy but didn't expect to wait over 30 + min for a chicken sandwich and a cheese burger.
I would have forgiven them for the time if the meals were good.partner told me the burger pattie was not seasoned at all.tasteless was the word she used.
I was looking forward to the sandwich as I like oven roast capsicums.well very disappointed to find nothing there. I asked the manager who was around I was told they used a radish.what the hell.why not state that in ur menu.
Payment time came.was told 38$ thanks.manager puts it through for 46$. Lucky I questioned him.did apologize but by that time I had enough of the experience.
Happy to move on and support plenty of others in the lively area. Fantastic weather made up for it.

I went to ripe today and I was amazed with so many options, lovely staff, great food, great coffee and the meals sizes are so big. I'm definitely coming back. Thank you so much!

An all round 'yes'! Location, fare, pricing. You have to make a (half) day of this cosy, welcoming eatery. Many wholesome dishes to choose from, including desserts and cake, coffee is good, much better than average! Sassafras is a quaint town in the Dandenongs, a 'Sunday' must!
