Extremely disappointed, horrible communication with the customer. Told the hairdresser to not cut my hair too short he replied okay and did completely the opposite. He told me at the end to wait 2 months for it to grow right? While I had told him my sister’s wedding is in 5 days and I wanted it perfect.

My God HOW IS THIS PLACE STILL OPEN FOR BUSINESS!? Went to get a haircut and the hairdresser had NO IDEA WHAT THEY WERE DOING! A first year apprentice could have done better. They also quoted $110 over the phone but agreed to charge $80 because it was SOOOOO BAD! ****If you want to look good after a haircut then DO NOT GO HERE! Even if you want a normal haircut DO NOT GO HERE! **** Repeat **** DO NOT GO HERE! *****

On the website it showed the price for balayage 260. I have very short hair everyone I know has never paid more than 300 and they all have much longer hair than me. I only wanted balayage and they ended up charging me for very short above shoulder hair 640 dollars. I am very angry and I’ve never heard anything being that expensive. I’m a student and I would never pay that much ever for my hair. It was advertised 260 not 640.

I am extremely upset with the haircut I received from Madu. Her service was very unprofessional - she flicked hair roughly onto my face, tugged my hair extremely hard and hit me in the face several times during my appointment. As if this wasn't bad enough, the cut looked nothing like what I asked for despite showing a photograph. It has shattered my confidence leaving me in tears at home after I realised that she has destroyed my hair. I told her I only like my hair straight (so she curls it at the end of the appointment) and asked for light layering at the ends with photo examples and now my hair is extremely choppy with "layers" beginning above shoulder length and it looks horrible. I am not sure if she is only a junior hair stylist but I would not recommend her at all.

I went to highlight my hairs yesterday and the only concern I discussed with hairdresser was keeping my hair as healthy they are. I ended up with the unwanted colour and frizzy hair while I paid $470. The hair dresser was not fast enough to finish foiling in one hour that’s why a part of my hairs are burnt. I do not recommend this overprice place.

I also want to add this point the hairdresser should have fully dried my hair, then I could see the true colour. He did not as he has another client right after my appointment.

After I long thought process, I decided to write a review, I never write reviews, no good nor bad ones, however, after paying $475 for a haircut and a balayage (I don’t mind pay top dollar for a good quality job), I think is fair to share my experience.
First, I must say that the ladies who looked after me were friendly and lovely.
Unfortunately, their work wasn’t as I expected, perhaps, I have high standards.
My haircut was ok.
I discussed with haircut stylist the length and we agreed certain length that I was happy with, but the end result was too short, around 2 inches short of what it was agreed, my haircut wasn’t checked after the hair style was done, which I believe is normal procedure in any haircut, very disappointed.
The balayage wasn’t blend properly.
When the haircut stylist was doing my haircut style, I saw the issues in the balayage (I’m not an expert, but I could see it wasn’t blend properly in one area) I let know the haircut stylist and she proceed to called the colourist, the colourist proceed to fix the issue and she asked, if there were any other issues with the balayage, I think she supposed to know where else the balayage wasn’t blend properly, at the end of the day she is the specialist.
The colourist continue doing my hair style in order to find any other issues and at the end, she fixed only the area I told her it wasn’t right and that’s it.
It was very difficult for me to find any other issues, therefore I said is fine, bear in mind that I was already 4 hours in the place, I’m not complaining about the time, I was tired.
The colourist finished doing my hair style (no explanations were given of why the haircut stylist, didn’t finish my hair style, I would say is normal courtesy).
I clearly stated from the beginning, that I didn’t want any volume in my hair and that is exactly what I end up, short hair with a lot of volume with out checking my haircut, and a balayage far from best quality standards.
I wouldn’t recommend this place.
I wish I can get my money back (I know if not possible neither will solve my disappointment nor will fix my hair), now I have to wait to get my hair to grow and I definitely needs to look for a better place to fix my balayage in the near future, sadly I have to spend more money to fix the situation.
@Rakis Collins, please don’t ask me to come back for you to check my haircut or fix my balayage, not need, neither do I need explanations of why my hair end up too short or why the balayage end the way it ended, please respect my wishes, I’m not writing this review asking for explanations, I just wanted to share my experience in your place, thank you.

I will just say this “ my hair is ruined “. I can’t leave the house. Everything has gone wrong. My hair turned orange from your salon. It’s very clear that many people are in happy but it also seems the last few 5 star reviews have been written to cover up the bad reviews. It’s very clear that this salon is just a show pony

Was not impressed by ombre/balayage coloring done by Terri in June 2020. There was no difference to the coloring I had before (which was overgrown but still looked good), as I discovered coming home. Unfortunately the lighting in the salon does not allow you to see the actual job done, as it is too dark.
The staff is friendly, but extremely busy with other customers at the same time. Also extremely overpriced, I left almost 400$ and was still disappointed. Will not be coming back.

Answer to the owner's comment: -
I have no doubts that your colorists are all passionate individuals. But I was too disappointed and upset at a time to even think about going back and complain about the service provided, as I have mainly had negative experience when it comes to complaints and customer service. I'm sure everyone can relate.
What comes to the lighting in the salon, I also stick with my words - it's too dark and you can't see the colours as they are.
This is my honest opinion and I hope you respect it.

I got my hair done a few months ago by Kieran, firstly my hair went dark orange and brown at the ends when I wanted a full head highlights to be blonde and then they fixed it for free but still not the blonde I wanted and had to re bleach those ends so they’re very frazzled.
Rakis reached out after this and then Stella fixed my hair (for free again) She did an amazing job at getting all the orangey colour out and cut the dead bits as well as treatments to repair any bleach damage. Now a nice bright blonde colour, Very happy thanks.

I booked this place for a clients blow out before an event, both she and I enjoyed our time here but it is very full on and packed. It is not a salon you will relax in.

Rakis has got a wonderful team! The reason for this review is slightly different from norm, this is a shout out for their “honesty”. I wanted to get a new hair look this year and have booked a consultation. The lady I spoke to was very honest and explained - why the option I chose might be a lengthy, slow & risky process for my hair and how can it change the texture. I now decided to keep my lovely soft hair as-is, but will love these guys forever for being honest with me. Thanks again folks.

This was my first time and everything was great, the service was lovely and nice staff. Thank you Terri for doing my hair color today, it was perfect! I’ll come back again for sure!

A great experience! I saw Terri Louise for my colour, and she did an amazing job, taking care not to damage my hair.

I’ve been having bleach on scalp for years and know how hard it is to find a hairdresser that will sort out your regrowth without giving you a colour band, and I left very satisfied.

Would 100% recommend for any other blondes!

I got a hair consultation and a haircut by Leo. He gave the best advice on the right haircut for my face. The best textured pixie I’ve had so far. His chair side manners, warm personality and communication are impeccable. I love Rakis and I really look forward to my hair appointments and I always recommend them. They aren’t pretentious and very personable with their clients. Great work guys!

Just had a beginner makeup workshop with LeidyLu and she was wonderful. Got to learn some skincare tips as well along with the makeup skills. Highly recommend as she is very patient with everyone.

I had a colour correction and balayage done by Leidy on the 14/07/2023 and she did an amazing job! My hair was terrible and orange before I saw her and she spent the whole day patiently fixing it. All staff are lovely and go above & beyond to ensure you’re comfortable and well taken care of. Salon is chic and in a great location. I will definitely be a regular from now on. Thank you so much!
