Radio Mexico reviews
74Tried this place after seeing good reviews but food had no taste here. Had better mexican food at other places. Giving 3 star only for good service.
THESE GUYS KNOW THEIR TERPS! Fjaaking fire!
can recommend to not miss out on the picoso
Service was great, cocktails were good, but the food has no flavour and very light on with any meat chosen for tacos. Small portions for the price too. No sauces provided on the table to even add to help the cause! Was disappointed as had heard great reviews from friends, so disappointed the food wasn't tasty! 3 stars mainly for the staff they were delightful!
Had a light dinner with tasty home-made corn chips & an equally tasty guacamole. The tacos are ‘street food’ size which was expected at the the price of $7.50 each. If you are looking for the typical menu items such as standard nachos, burritos & fajitas then this is not the place for you. Food is authentic and as mentioned, has a ‘street food’ vibe to it.
While the food is not 100% authentic Mexican food, (it is pretty close but has an aussie twist to it) it is pretty good.prices are reasonable and the selection is really interesting. We tried the costillas, the costras de queso con carnitas and yum! The taco bowl was good but not my favourite. Next time, we will be trying the other specialties such as the quesadillas de nopal. The ambience is good too. Food takes forever to arrive as the joint was pretty full on Valentine’s Day but we talked through it and had a great time.
Beautiful atmosphere. Food is got a good amount of flavour and taste, really enjoyed the variety.
The service is flawless! Food is great and kids menu is as expected, will definitely recommand!
Kaya was our waitress tonight and she was brilliant. It was so nice to have genuinely friendly, efficient and attentive service. Tacos and margs were epic too great spot on a warm night after a long day at the beach.
Yummy and authentic Mexican food with groovy interiors. I particularly enjoyed the tacos.
The service was not the best as the staff seemed overwhelmed and made a few mistakes with our order, bill, etc. They were friendly though.
All the staff were lovely, the food on the other hand was nothing but boring and bland. The menu does not specify vegan, vegetarian or any allergies on the dishes, which makes it difficult for people with dietary requirements. I had a fish taco that tasted nothing like fish, it was very plain and flavourless, the corn was small and had just a tiny bit of cheese. The waiter asked if we wanted some guacamole and we said yes thinking it was a portion of guac, as it says on the menu, instead we were given a whole dish with corn chips; this was never specified by the waitress and to be honest, it's a very tricky way to sell more. Over priced place for something that tastes just like any other fast food mexican restaurant.
Haven't been for 2 years and it was as good as ever! I didn't drink tonight but the fish tacos, tofu taco and bean taco were all yum! Really Friendly, lovely staff.just a joyous place!
Been several times and plan on going back. Food is absolutely beautiful and staff are always great!
Authentic and flavourful Mexican food - probably the best I've had outside of Mexico and the USA. The kids loved making their own tacos from the pulled pork and chicken mole. Our new favourite for home delivery during lockdown!
With restaurants trying to keep heads above water during these challenging times, there are some restaurants that struggle to maintain the quality of their food as take out, tonights meal with Radio Mexico was absolutely superb. Some of the best mexican we have had in a while. Well priced, big serves and just delicious. Thank you. 4.5:)
Got the Mexican dinner for 4 to feed the family. Got lots of food and it was really tasty. For $50 it was fantastic value. More venues need provide value packs like this for family's. I do suggest getting some tortillas as well so the kids can make their Tacos.
Cool vibe, pretty good food.flavours could be brighter, with more pop.didn't feel uber Mexican, but was an ok, chill for a lil.feels- aiight.
Fav tacos in melbourne.baja, prawn, pork belly tacos are winners.topped with a glass of the spiced tomato juice (think amazing virgin bloody mary)
My Mexican born husband moved here from California, and he misses his tacos. Decided to try Radio Mexico, it was so highly rated, and it had carne asada tacos, unfortunately, wasn’t as authentic has we hoped, me not being Mexican, enjoyed them. Parking is a bit tough in the area, hang in there and do a few laps.
Probably a great Mexican restaurant for the lower part of the city (St Kilda). Though, if we're comparing just tacos, Los Hermanos in Brunswick wins in every category. Still pretty amazing though.
One of the best Mexican places in town with plenty of vegan options and great service!
Happy to keep going back ️
