Radio Mexico reviews
74 Still to this day my favourite Mexican in Melbourne.
Great food and very well trained staff.
The tequila is also very well priced!
Loved it! Went here for dinner on our last night in Melbourne. Food was excellent, great atmosphere and really friendly staff
The 'sopa de tortilla' transported me to Mexico. It was so good! The service was also second to none. Next time I'm in Melbourne I will definitely come back!
Food was extremely basic, no authentic Mexican flavours, missed a complete main order that I made and just bought my partners main and when i rechecked with another the waiter, I was told hadn't even placed the order I requested.
Hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants in Melbourne. Be careful with the Margaritas.
Love Radio Mex!
Drinks and food are delicious! Service is good too!
Picoso, ceviche and camaron tacos are our fave dishes!
Can't wait to pop back in for our next visit!
Big fan of all the tasty things here - especially the chilaquiles, margaritas and ceviche. So good! Nice vibe and friendly service too - would recommend:)
Do not go here if you're looking for authentic Latin foods. We would never return. The food is a version of mexi-cal flavors, but is definitely not done well - I'm not sure why they are rated so highly other than the fact locals do not know what good Latin food is. Maybe it is targeting the local market of people visiting the bar scene in the area. This is not a good place for vegetarians. The quesadilla was hard and gross. The saving grace was the quinoa salad, but even that was basically large chunks of pumpkin - definitely not a traditional Latin dish. The nachos were okay, it's hard to go wrong there. The corn was not good. We would never return.
I'm from southern California and I'm always looking for good Mexican food in Melbourne. So far this place is my number 1 place to feed that hankering!
The margaritas are delicious and the food is flavourful, decently-priced and well-catered to vegetarians. The menu is extensive in that there are a range of options that are not simply confined to tacos - we had the elotes entree and a couple of salads, including the pumpkin and goats curd salad which was hearty and delicious.
Tried the jalapeno starter along with Picoso and Rojo nachos. Liked the taste but definitely it's better for people looking for some drinks to go with the food. Good vibe!
We've been to Radio Mexico a few times and it never disappoints. The staff are always friendly.
Love the potato dish, corn, jalapeno poppers and the Tommy's Margherita is perfect. We will be back
Great friendly staff at a very lovely Mexican eatery. Great range of foods and drinks with banquette options available as well.
Be prepared to wait for a table but once you're seated, you're good! Face paced service with minimal wait times for food. Although we had to prompt for two forgotten meals a a a beer jug - I put that down to the chaos of F1 weekend.
Knowledgeable and friendly staff and great quality food. Can't wait to come back!
Good vibes and good food. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area. Stuff jalapeños were great, delicious Margs and a must try is the costra de carnitas. Delicious
Friendly staff, great atmosphere, good food. 2 for 1 margaritas were a great hit. Easy tram ride from the city.
My goto mexican for the last 5 years, I will miss having my drinks here for sure and the friendly staff
Radio Mexico is a beautiful venue, with a continued beautiful mix of staff.
Sincerest shoutouts must go to Nick and Tanja for their exceptional service, creative minds regarding cocktails and beautiful appreciation of all things hospitality.
High recommendations, and I'll be back again shortly in thanks and due to them.
Needed somewhere for a quick bite before a show. The Nachos were some of the best we have ever had. Swift service on the drinks. Thanks Team Radio Mexican. We will be back.
Very busy Wednesday night (comedy festival gala) but service was quick and staff friendly. Guacamole dip was delicious and good amount for 2 ppl.as opener.
We had soft shell corn tacos with amazing fillings, battered fish (baja), BBQ pork belly, scallops (callo de hacha) and shredded lamb (barbacoa).
Hibiscus margaritas was amazing!
Visited Radio Mexico for lunch and sat outside.
The food to was decent however, the wait staff were not very attentive.
A wait of over 15 minutes for drink orders then, an additional 20 minutes for the waitress to come and ask for food orders.
