RACV Goldfields Resort

Well appointed rooms with reasonable rates. Excellent dining service and reception. Great views of the surrounding golf course and bushland. Well maintained facilities including gym and pool area. Highly recommended.

My only gripe is that the pillows are too soft. If that is my only issue, the resort is doing well.

Stay there in january sent them a message of what we thought. Told someone will contact me over 3 weeks ago heard nothing. First time was fantastic. Second time horrible and when we arrived went to buy a coffee told they ran out of coffee. Food in restaurants not like first time we went. Horrible

Terrific customer service. From reception and housekeeping, through to the staff at the restaurant. Really lovely atmosphere throughout the resort. You don’t have to leave the resort as there are many things to do, such as a day of golf, swimming, mountain biking and nature walks. The location is great as it’s a short driving distance to many sights in and around Ballarat. We visited Sovereign Hill, Ballarat Wildlife Park and Creswick Woollen Mills (note alpacas’ are off site and café is closed due to Covid-19). The restaurant had amazing food and we received great service from David. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Wish there where some live band in dinning room and happy hour to get people done there for a drink and the breakfast this morning was cold

Not as good as the other RACV Resort properties, but commendable. The meals were OK, but nothing special. Staff not as polished or professional compared to Torquay and Healesville properties.

Lovely! Great standard of accommodation, delicious food, beautiful location. Great for more than just golfers.

The rooms were comfortable, well appointed and clean - a solid choice of accommodation. However, after staying at all other RACV resorts in Victoria this is definitely the most average. Has no resort feel and buffet breakfast is incredibly average (take a leaf out of Cape Schank’s book - they know what they’re doing)

Love this place. We have been there 3 times now with the kids. They love the buffet breakfast and kids school holiday activities they do. As well as tennis and the pool. The staff are fantastic and very helpful. I will be going back. It's only 10 minutes from Ballarat so nice and close.

Came here for a work conference. The facilities and grounds are an absolute surprise. The staff were friendly and the grounds and rooms were very clean.

Parking was more than ample and getting there a breeze.

I'd really enjoy coming back more to explore or stay.

Good resort, very comfy and clean. If we can have some more choice of indoor activities such as pool table will be great.

Went there for a wedding 2 weeks ago, they favoured one side of the room with all the canapes, we were near the doors to the side (near the table and 4 chairs) and were skipped with almost every plate of canapes. I got 1 canape and hubby had 2 yet the ones on the other side of the room got a choice of every plate!
Only reason I gave 4 stars is because of Taran who served us during the sit down part of the reception, she was brilliant! Has a sense of humor and wasn't afraid to have a bit of fun banter with us. If Taran wasn't there it would have been 2 stars. Nice wedding area but remember the rest of the guests when passing out the canapes not just the ones near the bar and along one wall!

Studio room was extremely comfortable, great bed and pillows, immaculately clean and had everything you could want. Staff were very efficient, friendly and helpful and in house dining was a great experience. Will definitely return in future.

Nice hotel with big room and clean facilities. Breakfast has a limited choice, but taste ok. Maybe can put game room for some indoor activities.

The power outage just ment I went to bed a bit earlier than expected. Not the resorts fault at all, whole district was out.

Great quiet place. If you need a place to relax and get away from the city life. Close to Creswick and Wendouree. 5 star for the staff's great service.

Memorable for the wrong reasons. The bathroom hadn't been cleaned properly, the TV was old and not working properly, car parking not always available and the honeycomb in the dessert glued to one of my molars and broke it off. Now I'm having root canal treatment and need a crown. Thanks for no compensation.

Superb room, views were great. Clean tidy nicely appointed. Staff friendly yet professional. Bistro meals very nice. Conference room was well set up.
However I found the housekeeping/maintenence could be better. Shower head had green calcium build up on it and one of the jets in the bath was not working correctly and the tub had chips out of the porcelain.
Overall I was very happy with the facilities.

Reported bed sagged on one side but wasn't fixed next night. Breakfast ok but nothing special. Restaurant quality not in line with prices charged. Happy hour options good.

Golf course is beautifully maintained. Reasonably challenging. Great customer service. Very good value for money
