RACV Goldfields Resort reviews
67I very rarely post reviews, but feel the RACV Goldfields resort deserves high praise. The rooms and facilities were amazing, but the service from every single team member was simply outstanding.
We enjoyed our family getaway very much here in December 2021. Loved that our vaccination status was checked at the resort and the restaurant. We had the fairway room, view was lovely and overlooking the golf course. At night time you could see rabbits and kangaroos in the distance. Room and bathroom was very clean and the bathroom sink and toilet was low enough so my little toddler had no trouble using it. Place was roughly a 20 minute drive from Kryal Castle, Sovreign Hill and Ballarat Wildlife Park which was great. The staff was also brilliant and so nice and helpful! As a mum herding little kids, it’s refreshing to have supportive staff. Will be recommending to all family and friends. Thank you for our stay:)
Beautiful resort. You’ll love it if you are a golfer. You’ll love it even if you are not:)
It’s very close to the shops, 1-2 mins drive. Plenty of parking. Our room had a balcony, I think every room does, which is great. Our room had the front view of the woods. Very peaceful environment. We went in winters so the indoor jacuzzi was great. Very nice and helpful staff. Highly recommend. It’s not very far from Daylesford and even closer to Ballarat. Highly recommend for a peaceful family or couple stay.
One of the best hotels i visited. The hotel was filled with activities for all ages. The restaurant was okay, i think there was two restaurants. The hotel is really big and fancy. They had great golf with (additional costs). They also had a small conventional shop. The location was good. They have a game room and Wii room for kids. The pool is a bit small but great, half of it is indoor and the other half extends outdoor. The spa was great too. I loved the rooms they were great, huge and had everything we needed. The hotel was really flexible with welcoming big families. The staff were kind and helped us a lot. We booked months early, so were able to find space. I loved our stay there.
Really enjoyed our short holiday here; comfortable room, great facilities, friendly staff and very tasty, satisfying meals in the restaurant. It was a great base from which to explore the surrounding area.
We absolutely love it here. We have just had another family holiday over the Christmas holidays. They have a holiday program for kids. Including Kelly sports, donut decorating and a family movie every night. There’s a beautiful swimming pool, spa great playground with a flying fox and games room.
The dining has changed a bit and the bar area now has a family friendly menu with a kids play room in the same area with a wii and toys. The staff remember our names from our last stay and make us feel like vip’s. 5 out of 5 stars from us.
No kids menu on a Sunday. They Couldn’t offer anything either. Not even a sausage and mash! We had two options. Chicken or pork. At $400 a night that was our dinner option. They couldn’t offer an explanation as to why this was the case, except ‘that’s our menu for tonight’. Tell that to a hungry 2 1/2 year old. I also asked why they booked in a family knowing there is no kids menu available, and was told there was a miscommunication error. I was told that the second time after asking the question again while being polite. That comes across as ‘ well sorry but tough shit’. Of the 2 kids menu, they couldn’t even provide a sausage…. It’s a pity because the facilities were good. I had taken time off work for this holiday after restriction easing. My error of bad judgement from a top racv hotel.
Golf course is in excellent condition. A fun and challenging course. The staff are helpful and friendly. Great value for your money.
First time staying at any RACV resort and wow the service has been fantastic. Beautiful resort, even when the weather is miserable. View from our balcony is amazing, over the golf course frequent sightings over roo's. Reception staff were fantastic with any requests we had.
RACV Goldfields resort
I Came here with my hubby to celebrate my 50TH Birthday & we had a Great experience, we highly recommend this resort. We also caught up with a couple of friends at the
“Springs bar”before dinner & got happy hour drinks with a share platter. It Was a perfect start our evening.
Dinner was delicious, we ordered lamb shoulder. Yummm!
We enjoyed the large size room & amazing golf course views from the “Fairway suit” we stayed in. All Staff were very friendly & professional. We definitely will be coming back to enjoy this again!
Lovely gardens and in summer it would be nice to stroll around a it cold in winter. Plenty of parking around the park.
My grandparents went here for their anniversary a few weeks ago. They said the place was gorgeous. However, the dining facilities were absolutely miserable. It was cold, didn’t offer much of a selection, and the tables didn’t even have a tablecloth on them. They said it felt like a cafeteria, not a resort. The third star was for the wonderful staff! They absolutely loved the young staff. If there was a different rating for them, the staff would’ve been given 5/5. All in all, they enjoyed themselves, but would think twice about coming back because of the food.
We are a family of four and this place was amazing. The room was very neat and clean. We also had a hit of tennis on the tennis courts near the golf course. Inside were 2 PS4 (Play station) and 1 wii U. The only thing was the wii was always too busy to play. Maybe have 2 Wii’s, but otherwise it was great. We were also on the top floor and had a great view of the golf course. Also they had free wifi which had a fantastic ping and was really fast. If you’re alone or with a family I recommend you should stay here. From hugo - age 10 yr.
We stayed at the RACV Goldfields Resort in Creswick at the weekend.
It was very comfortable and we had a great time, enjoying the food and hoslitality there. The guys played Golf and the girls wandered around the Creswick historical township, having lunch and enjoying the shops. We then headed back to the Resort for afternoon tea, and a delicious dinner, that night. I would certainly recommend it.
We just had the most wonderful weekend at RACV Goldfields - stayed 2 nights with friends (4 couples in 4 rooms all next to each other). Not one of us had any complaints - everyone was so happy with the resort, the fantastic amenities and the professional friendly staff. The rooms are modern and spacious. We didn’t get to try the beautiful heated pool and spa but the guys played golf while the girls did the “Kangaroo Walk” and got to see lots of gorgeous kangaroos. We enjoyed the most delicious meals in the Three Founders restaurant served by friendly waiters (dinner and breakfast both mornings). Highly recommend to couples and families for the perfect getaway - close to all Ballarat has to offer as well as a short drive to Daylesford?
Just back from a 2 day stay at RACV Goldfields
Exceptional Staff, Exceptional Food (actually Outstanding)
1st Class facilities in all areas inc Golf Course and Pro Shop
Felicity and Neville thanks for going well beyond the call of duty in fixing the Technical issues I had with my presentation (you saved my Beacon)
Its Staff like you that make all the difference in any business
See you next time
Great spot even if u don't play golf. Walking tracks. Nice meals. Aircon in rooms was a bit of a let down as it was way too warm for sleeping. Was still a great stay. We were offered fans and a room change so they went out of their way to accomodate.
Gorgeous place to stay and I was a bit concerned when I got the ground floor room that it would be noisy. However everything was great and there was no noise. Beds are comfy and room spacious. We even have complimentary Nespresso machine in the room which was a surprise and we enjoyed it. Great customer service at the reception and she even took time to explain about the kids holiday activities happening at the resort. We love the playground (super clean and well maintained), the games room and the tennis court. There were cute kangaroos hanging around in packs at the golf course beside the tennis court too. All in all a lovey experience and definitely a relaxing trip.
Very poor service. Showers don't have pressure. Showers are too small. Swimming pool is baby pool. Yet they call this place as Resort.
Very clean room & polite and friendly staff.
Restaurant was ok, but not perfect.
The pool & pool area is very very small. Need to be extended.
Just Golf shop was open for lunch (Only cold sandwiches, meet pie & Sausages roll) the casual bar had pizza but it opened at 2: 00pm! The pizza was pretty expensive.
