Prahran Hotel reviews
81The building is beautiful, the remodeling job they did really brings this place into a modern era. The food is typical pub food but really tasty
I organised a birthday here, and the service was incredible. Ben and the team went over and beyond catering for us in the private dining room, food was great and the decor of the hotel is impressive. Overall it beat our expectations for our first visit to Prahan Hotel. Highly recommended, we will be back!
Great parmas that are well worth the money. If you’re looking for a cheap mid week eat, Tuesday and Wednesday are recommended. Great local pub!
Good burger and meatballs. The waitress allowed us to try the beer before ordering so that was cool. The only negative was that it was rather hot inside (was 40 degrees outside, but still).
The steak night was great quality and amazing value.
I wish I could leave a second review. We went back for steak night again and it was just as good as the first time.
Beautifully kept and renovated hotel. Food was fresh, hot and full of flavour. Great beer selection too.
Great food and range of drinks. The interior design and architecture is enough for a reason for a visit
Went for dinner with two work colleagues, no tables available, sat on high stools, my friends got their steaks, my parmigiana was not relayed to the kitchen, came 15 minutes later, it was dried out and tasteless, never going there again. Overpriced menu, dingy, dark dump
I've lived down the road a few years and never went in. From the outside it looks like the usual run down pub. So when my friend issued a call to action, I journeyed to this establishment.
Initial inspections be damned, the interior is something to behold. Impressive architecture and a great build quality.
Food was also magnificent, but the cocktail menu could use a little bit more flair. It is Prahran after all!
Definitely worthy of a visit.
Nice vibes on a Sunday and quite kid friendly. Had the Sunday roast and it was good. Highly recommend for a chill sesh!
Nice cosy atmosphere and great location. They had a few gf options but would love to see more! I must admit though the staff were excellent at making sure my food wasn't prepared near the gluten (I have coeliacs) that was very much appreciated thank you!
Nice atmosphere, food was good and who doesn't love a good parma Wednesday deal? Salad was a little basic though. Would look to book one of the barrel tables one night soon.
The food here is top notch. A little more than I'd like to pay for a pub meal, but admittedly worth it. Great selection of beers on tap and an absolutely beautiful interior.
This place had a really great variety of healthy food options together with some more unusual menu items. We really enjoyed our meal!
Waited for 2 hours for meals. Steak was rubber, badly cooked, not rested, not at room temperature, got refund. Chips were cold, under cooked, no crisp, burger was borderline raw. Trying to be high end with all the cliches and prices, but no understanding of food basics. Good beers, sports screens and decore.
Always a good place to have a nice meal. Good choice of beers.good menu. Great space of various seating types. What else would you want?
Went there for a cousin's 21st in the upstairs function room. Cool atmosphere, great bar service and cozy outdoor area
Hands down the best parmies in melb! They are only $16 on wednesdays:) staff are super friendly and treat everyone who walks through the door like a local. The venue has a sports bar, dining room and super cozy seating in the booths out the back. They often have events and stuff and make a great cocktail:)
Generally a very cool venue but it’s more a resturant than a hotel/pub.
The meals are not what you would expect at a pub. I personally believe it was designed like this to cater to the new age of people who have moved into Prahran. The Parma is nice and tasty but you are served about 3/4 of some frozen fries and the rest is an assortment of a few lettuce leaves and then the chicken. A bit too much of a deviation from the starboard Parma. The pub should provide good hearty meals but as stated this is beyond this place which is a shame. It was always a local favourite back when it used to be more a migrant/working class suburb. Seems like that is not the case anymore. I guess that’s why every time I’ve been I’ve always seen it empty?
The beer here is more expensive than non pubs which shouldn’t be be case. I mean $13 for a pint of Fat Yak, not even other establishments down the road charge that much.
Sad changes and damage to what was once a great watering hole.
