Very nice place and vibe. Staff are nice and attentive, the food was a bit of a letdown. Our steaks were a bit overcooked and the salads are a bit basic but I’d come back to give them another try

The hotel was very busy so the service was slow. The meal was ok. The steak was gristley. The wine overpriced. Maybe try on a less busy night.

Sat by the fire on a cold Sunday evening watching the AFL was lovely! Had the Eggplant Parma and it was AMAZING - any vegan/vegos out there you have to try this! Friendly staff too.

Held a community function in the Private Dining Room at relatively short notice. Staff at Head Office were extremely accommodating of our needs and nothing was too much trouble; Ashleigh was both friendly and professional.
At the venue the manager was very flexible and helpful and on the night, Reneé was very efficient and friendly.
Food was shared platters and quite filling - maybe more potatoes? Lamb shoulder to die for.

Had our engagement party at the Upton Bar upstairs. Great venue, staff was very polite and accommodating to our needs. Food was great as well! Special thanks to Felicity who helped us organise everything, she was lovely and very prompt with her replies. Thanks again!

Had a wonderful Christmas Day Lunch with these guys. Friendly and attentive staff made for a really pleasant experience. Food was great as was the vibe.

Food is very ordinary, especially for the price. Service is nothing to rave about either. Frankly, I was very disappointed

It's a good pub with decent pub food available. I went at a time where Covid restrictions were being eased so it was great to see staff ensuring guests were following those rules that were in place. Reasonably priced food and drinks. Friendly staff. Space to sit outside and inside. Train station and trama close by.

Partner and I have been frequenting Prahran Hotel for some time now, but last night was our first time returning since the changes with COVID-19.
We wish to pass on our deepest thanks and appreciation for the level of professionalism, and kindness from each and every staff member who we encountered.
Social distancing practices were managed wonderfully, and didn't detract from the experience whatsoever.
Food and beverage were spot on as always, and the addition of table service brought a welcome change.
Thank you to all who made our evening nothing short of perfect, and reminding us why Prahran Hotel is one of our favourite locals.

4 requests for water before we finally got a 2nd bottle, 3 different wines we selected from the cut down menu they didn’t have then 4 medium-well done steaks when 2 of us ordered rare, 2 medium rare. An extra star for the staff who were run off their feet and only being paid minimum job-keeper wages. Management of this place has fallen into a black hole.

4 stars for the food. But why turn room lights down so low, mobile phone lights had to be turned on to read the menu?

1 star for noise level of live band whist dining, group of 6 got up and left due to noise.

Made booking for dinner and specially requested window table. While being shown to table the hotel staff member discovered another party were sitting there despite a reserved sign on the table. He asked them to move and they refused. The staff member said he wasn’t prepared to force them to move and said we had to sit elsewhere.no other window tables available. Why book in advance? Why go back to the Prahran Hotel. I won’t! Happy to provide management further details

Visited the hotel for a birthday party. Very nice food. The corn beef rolls especially nice. Staff great. Food and wine just kept on coming. Enjoyed the night.

I feel the food here is not of fantastic value, however everything I've been served from pasta, Parma, and a Reuben have been well put together. A pretty normal selection of beers, nothing too interesting generally.

Rarely inclined to post reviews online - in fact, I think this might be my first time - but was just blown away by the service of one young bartender there in particular (either Dec or Dac, I'm sorry if I didn't get it right if you're reading this). He was knowledgable, courteous and above all, had our best interests at heart the whole time. Add a great variety of beers on tap and high quality food and you've got yourself a winning combo.
