Prahran Hotel

I had group dinner in here tonight and the food was great. However, I ordered a serve of chips, the staff put the chips in front of me, but my colleague also order one, so I let her have the chips firstly. When I asked the staff for the chips again, he said he gave me, I explained I let my colleague have firstly. He went to check the order, then showed me the order and said, only one serve chips on the order, if I want one, I need to pay. I told him, I did pay for chips, I paid $50, the whole baby snapper ($32), the chips ($9) and a glass of wine ($13), anyway the bartender charged me $50 (maybe he gave us some discount, I really appreciated that). The staff left, when he came back, he gave me a bowl of chips and said ‘On the house’. His words made me feel like I didn’t pay for the chips, I was really upset about that. I understand that was a busy moment, and something wrong between our orders, but I should not be treated like this!

Went to Prahran Hotel last night to enjoy the steak/parma night where we chose to sit at an unreserved round window table. Was later told that unfortunately there had been a mistake and the table was reserved. The manager found us a new table and got us round of drinks for our inconvenience. This made up for what would have been a very annoying situation otherwise. Great customer service thank you.

10/10 Parahan Hotel! Lovely & very hospitable staff! A lovely girl called Taylor served me and my colleges for duration that we were there and she was one of the best bartenders I have ever encountered. Here ability to engage with the patrons & people skills are sensational. Not to mention the designs within this venue are absolutely amazing. I highly regiment this venue to a to be that is foreign to the area and is after a good cheap deal with the up most respect and consideration coming from the staff members at this establishment! Wepp done team w, well done!

Very surprised as to the layout and comfort this place offers, had lunch there today four of us not one complaint about service or food. Would recommend this place highly. Will be looking for an excuse to go up there again.

I was having a jolly ole time and was really enjoying the place! And it was happy hour which meant $7/pint woohoo. We got our first rounds and then I thought, might as well get a jug since we had glasses on the table already. Now, the jug of the same beer was $26. When poured, it came to less than two pints. I don’t want to sound cheap, but not gonna lie I was fuming for a while The bar guy knew I was sharing with one other person so I wish he had told me.

Wow, all I can say is the Steak Night was unreal! Ben and Michaela were a great help in making my experience 5 star. Thank you Prahran Hotel!

Walk in for a quick dinner without a booking. Super friendly staff, plenty of space and tables. Cannot fault the service and food. Many thanks.

Look I'm in my'70's', so forgive my nostalgic tone, it's a boring place to have a beer, with a mate, late afternoon.

Really amazing rooms upstairs and fab decor for events of a medium capacity. 100 people was a nice amount to fill the space without being overcrowded.

Fantastic service, excellent beer, very tastey food. I had the Meatball Tagliatelle and highly recommended it.

The staff were really cool and helpful with a smile

I'm from Sydney and if ever around, will definitely be back.

Best happy hour in the area! $7 pints of great tap beer and house wine. Great porterhouse steak offer on Wednesday for $18 as well

Don't like it as all they want is money. If you don't have the dough or celebrity status. Your not welcome

The venue itself is well presented but after eating here a couple of times the food is certainly over-priced. As an example $22 for a cheeseburger (that I had to reassemble) is a bit disappointing. I could only recommend having a couple of drinks here and saving dinner for elsewhere.

Toughest steak I've ever had. I know it's a steak night deal but my hand hurt trying to cut through it. Bar staff were abrupt to say the least.

The food and the fitout was on fleek as the milennials would say. The trivia guy on the microphone killed it though, way too loud, couldn't literally hear the person next to me.

The pub quiz is a good night. The bar staff are all good except one who is always moody. The food, unfortunately, in my opinion was very average. Would recommend for a drink as the place itself is nice.

This pub is a great spot for food, drinks and people watching. Very tastefully renovated a few years ago but it has both formal and casual areas. Great value specials nights too during the week.

Food was good but the serving size was very small. We had to go in search of a waitress but they were lovely when found: D

Lauren at the Prahran Hotel is an absolute asset to the business. Her caring and friendly nature behind the bar is something you don’t see too often anymore and made our group’s night, give her a pay rise because she is incredible. Smashing it!

Just had my daughter's 21st here in the Upton Room.
It was fantastic. Well organised, great food excellent staff. They couldn't have been more helpful. I can recommend it.
