82Nice typical Bistro. Great food, surrounds are of the era. Fellow patrons reminded me a bit of the South Park episode, 'grey dawn'. Cleared out after 7.30pm which made it a nice place for a casual drink.
Been a while since I was last there, but with a new look menu and some old faves. Couldn't go wrong with a decision to have dinner and a few drinks
Just had a Birthday dinner with family of 20 people tonight. Hubby & I ordered Salt and lemon pepper squid with salad & chips $25ea please don’t serve salad in a little cup and then drown it in dressing, yuck! As for the squid the serving was that small we had more salt and lemon pepper than squid! Another family member ordered the same but in an entré, size was the same except without the handful of chips. Around the table was a similar disaster. I could elaborate further! Not good enough!
Had a lovely meal here as usual. Had 2 courses tonight
No complaints about food and staff are lovely, but gee - so slow with service to get meal order in at register. It's a long long wait in queue to get to register and place wasn't even busy when we got there
A great little country pub for lunch and a cold beer, in air conditioned comfort. Visited on Australia Day and won some prizes for thong throwing. Good menu for choices of food and a large dining room.
Food was excellent, both our steaks cooked exactly as requested. We also would like to mention how our salad wasn'tdrowning in dressing, very rare these day & so tasteful. Congratulations to chefs & kitchen staff.we also& enjoyed a lovely bottle of local red wine. Staff very polite & helpful
Has always been the best pub in town. Great food, terrific staff and nice atmosphere. Can be a bit of a wait for the meals sometimes. Love members night and the special draws. The kiosk and card system needs to be fixed though as there always seems to be problems with the cards scanning. Perhaps a member number that can manually be punched in when the barcode doesn't scan would help.
The steak was medium not rare as ordered (big difference) and the mushroom sauce was bland. There were no tables available when we arrived so we were put onto a dirty table which never got wiped or reset and when the meals were delivered the waitress put them down and walked off and didn't notice we had no cutlery. The rest of the staff including at the bar were lovely and welcoming, I'd go back anytime and try something else.
The service was great, the food was great also, the meal was large and tasty, l like it, And would go back a gain. The staff were friendly and helpful. Make sure to book your table because the place fills with patrons wanting to eat good food.
Central location. Well appointed facilities. Fast friendly service, with ample number of staff. Meals offer a wide variety from the menu. Senior selection offers up to three course for less than $20.
Waitress remembered who ordered their meal well done. Large midday meal very filling risotto. Pulled pork burger not nice flavour & stringy.
Interesting place. Went for about an hour during the jazz festival. Terrible acoustics for any live music. Tourist signs showing it as the 'historic pinsent hotel', which felt a little strange with all the keno TVs and pokies in the place.
Probably wouldn't visit if not for a special event.
Nice old style but modern pub. Cheap pub rooms and great meals. They gave me under cover parking for my motorbike. Would recommend!
Very clean and comfortable bed but shower drain blocked and problem not fixed for second night despite reporting problem early in day.
Stopped in for lunch passing through town couldn’t really complain the food was reasonable and the beer cold.
Great old pub. Worth the visit. Good history and great food with friendly service. Also, a chance at meeting a ghost.
Went there for a small snack whilst on travels. Great friendly, fast service. Food was tasty. Aware that it is the norm now, I am still not big on TV's in a restaurants/bistros.
Meal was nice as always, only problem was the lettuce was starting to go brown, so was not as nice as it normally is.
My experience eating here was disgusting i had the porter house steak which was over cooked dry and the garlic butter was curdeled in the dish for dessert i had the churro honeycomb the chocolate sauce was disgusting as it tasted of coco powder and annaseed and water the pastry was dry an uneatable all up a waste of 52.00 for a meal that was sickining will not being wasting money eating at this hotel
Delicious food, large crowd and left with a full stomach. Calamari was melt in the mouth delicious and the vegetable lasagna was yummy!
