Pfeiffer Wines

Thanks for our wonderful wine tasting experience today. We thoroughly enjoyed the tastings and learning about the different grapes and varieties. Having Jen's winemaker insights was invaluable. We found the entire family to be delightful from Robyn all the way through to Hunter. We will enjoy our wine at home and be back for more.

We had such a fun homely wine tasting experience at Pfeiffer Wines on our way back to Canberra. We did not make a booking but walked in and on a busy weekend they managed to find us a table and made us really comfortable whilst they explained the wines. Rather than telling us what we should try they asked about the wines we liked to drink and then they suggested some of their wines that we might like. We got to rate each wine we tasted with a smiley face which was really fun and different. The actually cellar door was set into a beautiful old brick building. The grounds around the vineyard were carefully maintained and there is an old historic bridge you can walk to to see views over a nearby river. The wine was great but the experience overall and the people made it so worth the drive.

Always stop in here on our way through to Canberra. Love the sparkling Shiraz and fortified wines. Plus the gardens are a beautiful way to spend the afternoon.

Beautiful Sunday drive looking for wine tasting and lunch. We felt quite invisible as we stood waiting to taste the wine. We were completely ignored while a small group of others were being served. We left

Wonderful, authentic experience. We were very welcomed, zero pretensions, not as flash as some cellar doors but that was part of the charm.

We will be back!

You don't have to go to the flashiest historic estate for the flashiest wine, this was up with the BEST! At affordable prices too, in beautiful surrounds & knowledgeable friendly staff.what a gem! 5/5

A brilliant experience. Very welcoming and were very looked after by the winemaker himself, who may have aged slightly since the photo out the front was taken. Asked us for our preferences and suggested appropriate wines for each of us. Found the wines to be very reasonably priced.

Amazing winery, if you enjoy good wine don’t miss this - you won’t be disappointed! Ask for Jean, she’s a wealth of information.

No better pflace to sit in the sun and soak it all in a glass of gorgious wine while the kids are having as much pfun as the grown ups. Super knowledgeable and friendly staff making a very fine drop. What a gem!

Beautiful location with a cellar door that was incredibly friendly and informative. A treat for those experienced or new to wine tasting. A large selection of wines with information given about taste, region and the purpose of the wine makers.

We were served by Kate who was so friendly and welcoming we hardly wanted to leave!

Before our departure we had a small picnic on the tables provided either under the shade of the trees or the sun. A perfect pause before getting in the car if your wine intake had been a little high.

Friendly staff with a great selection of wine. The grounds are also good for a wander with shady areas, a play area and of course turtle feeding off the bridge

Love the staff, wine makers, the picturesque location, delicious wines - It's always on my list when organising the winery walkabout or simply visiting the Rutherglen wine region!

We had an excellent tasting with Kate who knows her wine, is passionate about the region and delivered great customer service.

The wines are amazing too!

Great experience chatting with the staff. They had a great selection of wines and good knowledge of what they were serving. I would recomend this to anybody passing through the area.
