Pfeiffer Wines

Wonderful family winery with a huge range of excellent wines. We had the most enjoyable tasting experience led by Alex, who was friendly, knowledgeable, good- humoured and just an all round good host. The kids will love the Sunday Creek bridge and the turtles waiting for their feed, and there are plenty of birds to watch. We ended up spending most of the day there enjoying the atmosphere.

We were treated by Sue at the cellar door! Rutherglen fortified put on a show! Do the wine tastings, then treat yourself to the rare tastings, $20 is very well spent! Each wine region owns something; Rutherglen has fortifieds; hook in!

The best wines, Muscat's & port's. I feel very spoiled when we buy bottles.
I highly recommend the wine tasting and taking home bottles of your favourite drop! Great service and friendly staff. We always come back for a refill of our alcohol cupboard!

Great winery. Beautiful location. We were in the Rotunda next to the bridge and had the
lunch hamper organised by the winery which was excellent. Our wine tasting was great and received good information from Cathy who looked after us tremendously well. The wine is excellent as was the food Would highly recommend.

20 years ago Pfeiffer was a great winery and still is today, Jean was very helpful and we have gone back onto the mailing list, wines have always been lovely and we will be enjoying many more in the future, thank you for today.

It was Janice’s first day and she was amazing. We tasted amazing wine and laughed alot plus we bought plenty to take home. A fabulous place to visit. Have joined the wine club and definitely plan to return. Thanks so much for your hospitality

Had a lovely introduction to the Pfieffer winery in Rutherglen. Chris and Jean were a lot of fun and generous with their information. They are very keen to give you wines that you enjoy. We bought our faves and joined the club. We are looking forward to trying some more in the future

The staff here were really friendly and obliging. The wine tasting was a great experience, never having done this before. Jean made the experience great and she was very helpful and friendly. We'd certainly look at buying more!

Can't recommend this winery more - the team are so friendly and are always super helpful. Gene and Kylie are so genuine and we enjoy visiting when we travel to the region. Great location to sit out with a wine and relax, lots of beautiful wines to taste and take home. Highly recommend stopping by!

What a great find. Was looking for a laid back winery to spend some time at whilst doing a self guided wine tour with kids and stumbled upon this little gem. It’s the kind of winery where you know that the people there just love wine. They love the process they love the experiment and process and they are excited to see the result. With 30+ wines to try our tasting was guided by Kylie and she was awesome. So knowledgeable so engaging and so committed to have her guests have a great experience and try something new and find fines they will love. We had a great experience and the kids had fun too. Can’t wait to come back to this place and spend a bit more time on the grounds with some cheese and nibbles and enjoy more of their awesome hospitality and wines. Make sure you add this place to your list next time you’re exploring Rutherglen.

Loved this winery. The staff are amazing and the property is spectacular. Vegan friendly with many vegan wines to taste. And they are family friendly and organise kids cordial tastings and gave them turtle food to help them see some of the local residents at the river!

Garry and Sue were tremendous hosts and accommodating to gluten and vegan folk. Worth a visit to the cellar if you are in the area.

Arguably some of the best quality fortified wines in the region! An incredible selection of varietals so there's something for everyone, and wonderful staff who are all very invested in the quality of every bottle made.
My pick is the Grand Muscat though, it was hands down my husband's and my fave out of all the muscats I brought back from Rutherglen!

It doesn’t get any better, my sister shared 2017 pfeiffer merlot, went to
order online and could only get a case of 2011 absolutely perfect, so
joined the wine club highly recommend

What a day! Visiting Pfeiffer Wines today meant I got to meet a hero of mine. A woman I have been following through Naked Wines for almost 10 years. She is my absolute favourite Australian wine maker and she was just as amazing a person as you’d hope from her amazing wines. She took almost an hour out of her busy schedule to chat wine with me, and made my day. Down to earth, passionate about wine and so funny, Jen Pfeiffer is just awesome! Pfeiffer wines are making amazing wines. Every wine I tried was good, with the just bottled 2021 Pinot Grigio being an absolute stand out. The Tempranillo was also an absolute must buy. I can’t wait to visit again, and am planning a whole trip away with friends just to get to visit the winery again. Thanks to the whole team for making me feel so welcome. Keep up the amazing work.

1st time to this winery. Was assisted by new employee Gary. Great customer service in your first week. Would return in warmer weather to enjoy an arvo experience on the Sunday Creek Bridge.

First time visiting this winery in many years. Just as friendly and welcoming as we had remembered. Thank you Jean for your vast knowledge of the wines we tasted and for entertaining us with your wonderful stories. The wines are magnificent, especially for Shirazaphiles like us. Very impressed with the extensive range. We even really enjoyed the Rose. We left with a box of wine but will certainly be ordering more on our return home.
