Peppers The Sands Resort reviews
86 I booked Peppers because of the 4star rating & because I value comfort, cleanliness & service. Me & my husband stayed at room 034 for 2 nights & before I forget I booked through LUXURY ESCAPE. We were grateful 2 night stay came with breakfast, a pizza and 2 alcoholic drinks which was nice.
The room though was very disappointing. It has mold around the shower. While showering you could see the dirty toilet bowl. Under our bed was flyers & other paper works from previous customers I should say. The lamp base was bent & looks so outdated.
I’m not sure if this kind of room is reserved for people who books outside Peppers.
Just for future reference management should have a good inspection of all rooms to a 4star standard & comply to customers expectations & satisfaction.
Thank you
Had a fantastic weekend here for a mate's 50th birthday. The golf course is magnificent; tough, but in fantastic condition.
We had a room on the first floor overlooking the course, great view. Room was fine!
Dinner at the restaurant (Hanners) was good. Simple pub style menu but nice food.
The staff and customer service were exceptional, everyone very friendly and happy to help!
We stayed for 1 night on new years eve, we had three kids with us, they were so excited to swim but the pool closed early around 5 p.m and was closed the next day, around 8 p.m we were told we couldn't order food because there was nothing left, they said they would be food trucks but therecwas only 1 and the que was long, by the time we reached the counter they only had chips left, we were starving so we had chips for dinner on new years eve, for $320 a night i expected better, i feel robbed, the only thing i enjoyed was the spacious room and the comfy bed, the hotel itself is beautiful and the staff is very friendly.
My wife and I did not have accommodation, however, we had lunch at the restaurant. The food was delicious and the service afforded us by Fiona Santic was exceptional!
The hotel is pretty good, nice rooms, comfy beds, quiet and a big car park. The pool is nice too to chill down on hot day. The golf course is a good one but I'm not a really a fan. Close to the coffees and shopping area about 25 min walk or 15 min bike. The restaurant/terrace is pretty but very unorganized staff and surprised you want to get a table and eat something. We were told from the start it will take 45 mins to get some food. Anyway the beer was brought fast and at the end the food was good. Overall good experience but for a beer and or food I shall go somewhere else.
2 night stay
Double room, 1 desk chair, 1 lounge chair
No chairs/table on balcony
Meals finish 8.30pm
Limited room service
No courtesy bus
1 small soap
Mould in shower grout
Small fridge
Lamp globe blown
For price & expectations compared to other Peppers Resorts, VERY DISAPPOINTING!
Worst cold parma I've had. Multiple other guests were complaining about their meals as well. Cheap pub food for a high price. Go somewhere else.
Overall our stay at Peppers Torquay was great. Location was good and rooms were clean, was nice to stay on a golf course. However, communication could be improved as we weren’t informed about the NYE fireworks which were held at our resort which we learned about while sitting on the esplanade. Disappointing as we could’ve been told via check in or through email upon arrival. Gym and pool were great, however gym was closed on New Year’s Day for no apparent reason while the pool was open. Staff were nice however proactive communication around the resort happenings should be improved. Could be as simple as a detailed induction into the resort at check in.
Rooms are spacious, disappointed couldn't use the pool as water wasn't warm enough. Enjoyed a warm bath in spacious tub. Breakfast was nice.
Stayed here at the start of our ocean road trip, nice place, good place to stay if you are planning on driving the great ocean road
Lovely location - but the food and the attitude of one of the staff left a lot ot be desired - I'm certain this staff member is not representative of the entire establishment - however the food was overpriced and sub par.
Lovely place for a drink - would suggest elsewhere in Torquay is better for food though
Spacious room but this is the only good thing as the bed is hard, lighting in bathroom is poor, cleanliness of mattress protector is very undesirable and stained, there's only one chair in the room so you have to watch TV lying on the bed, the block out blinds don't block the sun - overall disappointing
Beautiful resort. Sure it's for golfers but we booked in during the busy air show with only accommodation in mind. Rooms are large and luxurious. Bed is comfortable and the restaurant has a great view over the golf course. Only downside was the room we had faced the car park with a small balcony just adequate for smokers not a space for a glasses of wine or snacks. Tried the get a room overlooking the gold course but could not.
We would definitely go back but only if it was a golf course view
Coole location, mega strand und wer das golf spielen mag der ist hier richtig, das hotel liegt direkt am golfplatz und die zimmer sind sehr angenehm
Tough course, bunkers in great condition. Greens on the day were a little uneven, otherwise a good looking course. Plenty of variety
My favourite place to stay when getting away to Torquay. Stunning modern rooms overlook lush Golf Course.
It is a nice place and well maintained, unfortunately catering was a let down. Rooms are very spacious and modern. Would give it a higher rating if it was not for the food quality.
The resort is beautiful, the golf course is right outside of our room, the place is very busy with lots of families enjoying golf. Room is very comfortable and clean, however the doors are very noisy as they are very heavy and shut behind the guests, there is no way you can stop them from hanging. Overall it is a nice and relaxing place, good for family.
For a conference event it was very well organised and catered for. The rooms were comfortable and spacious and the facilities were top notch. Ample parking provided as well, and not too far from the beach. So far my favourite thing has been watching the sunrise on the balcony overlooking the golf course.
Great location (next to White beach) in a quite pocket, not too far from surf beach, great spacious rooms, ample parking.nice friendly staff. Greate for family and couples.
