Absolutely fabulous hotel. Stunning views of the golf course. Spacious rooms and the comfiest bed ive slept in. Golf course was spectacular. Everything was well maintained to the highest standard. We will definitely be returning!

This is a hotel where people really do care about your experience. We had a slight issue in our room on the first night which was completely out of anyones control, the level of service the next day to ensure the rest of our stay was enjoyable is unlike anything I’ve experienced. I can’t wait to book again.

Great place to stay and the refurbishment is stylish and comfortable. I stay in a lot of places, and I'm happy with a good bed and shower. This goes well beyond - but doesn't miss these basics either. The shower is big, and the water pressure is fine.and the bed is very comfortable. Just what you need after a big day.

. And if you love golf - you've got it made.

We went for lunch, overall disappointed. Orders were confused by waiters, items ordered seemed over cooked. Vegetable frittas, and croissant. Won t be returning.

Played golf there recently and the course was in amazing condition. The fairways and greens I couldn’t fault! Great work to the team down there keep it up

Says “Pet Friendly” but tried to book just now and told Only One Dog per room. We have two small, quiet dogs. Really strange rule. Didn’t feel like reenactment of Sophie’s Choice

I stayed a few nights with my wife recently. The Hotel has recently been upgraded and rooms are fantastic, still the same incredible view. My wife and I are well traveled and we would rate this hotel up there with many of the international 5 star hotels we have stayed in. We enjoyed the bar adjoining the golf course and the food was really good. I enjoyed a cold beer on the deck looking out over the golf course and gazing at my wife of course. What a location! We highly recommend to anyone.

We came down from Melbourne for a long-weekend away, absolutely loved the newly renovated rooms. We booked one of the dog rooms so was able to bring our puppy with us which completely made our weekend. We love how close the hotel is to the beach for a morning swim, and were lucky enough to see a spectacular sunrise over the golf course. My partner and I played a round of golf while there, Tom and Luke at the pro shop couldn’t of been anymore accomodating and welcoming. The course was in excellent condition, we already can’t wait to come back again. Would highly recommend The Sands to anyone wanting a relaxing weekend away.

Booking dot com did not inform us the restaurant was closed. The trip was planned to take my girl have privacy and ask for hand in marriage over a private dinner. Next we arrive after paying then find out the bar shut as well. My god thank you booking dot com your a bunch of theives. I might add the staff were embarrased and very nice. Do not book through booking.com

The Sands Torquay is fabulous.
The newly refurbished rooms are beautiful.
Our accomodation was better than the rooms we have stayed in at Crown Casino Melbourne.
The Bar and restaurant were also terrific.
I would not hesitate to recommend, we will definitely we returning!

Venue is bold and the views are fantastic. Our room was clean, bright and refurbished in a cool beach style. Some of the old furniture has been given a lick of paint and reused rather than heading for landfill so we were told. Staff are warm and efficient, a little understaffed, like everywhere atm. Breakfast was quality and not over the top.

Played a round of golf while I was there and the staff were great in helping me get everything sorted. The grounds are amazing. Such an upgrade with the new owners! 10/10 would recommend

The Sands Resort is a fantastic venue. The upgrade looks wonderful. The rooms are clean, staff are friendly, beautiful views out to the golf course. The food has also improved with the upgrade with fantastic pizza's. The accommodation with fur baby (dog stay rooms) is such a great option, we all had a comfortable stay. Will be back regularly.

The view is quite good. I enjoyed my espresso. And, the menu is less expensive than the RACV Torquay.

Only working a half measures at the moment because of covid, and should warn customers no restaurant service cleaner etc BUT lovely room and the lady on welcome reception (in the afternoon) helpful. The sunrise over the golf course is magical!

Stayed two nights, Rooms need a bit of love. The hallway floors are bumpy and uneven. Breakfast is average. Tiny TV in the rooms.

The location is great and staff are lovely.

Nice place and lovely staffs except the restaurant manager. He look unhappy most the time. May be overwork? But the place and the rest of the staffs are still worthy for 5 stars
