Penang Flavours reviews
66Lucky weekend, take away ckt and curry puff today.but let me look the kuih in shop. I bought a few boxes with my friends.very delicious.
I had high expectations from reading reviews and seeing the photos, however upon arrival the fried tong fun was good but the san hor fun was not as tasty as I expected! The teh Tarik was not as authentic as I hoped!
If you want some authentic, cheap and cheerful Malaysian, this is it. There is lup chong in their char keow teow, perfectly cooked rice with their hainanese chicken rice and tau foo fah for dessert—so good!
It may look like a hole in wall, but the food's really good and the place is usually packed. Cash only.
Excellent for Msian die hard fans craving for CKT, Sar Hor Fun and Fish Head noodle. Even better than some places in Spore and Msia!
Char Koay Teow and fried rice good, do not have the laksa, so bland, all u can taste is curry paste, not well blended with the coconut gravy, yr average cook at home laksa would b much better
Genuine Malaysian food. Very tasty and good. If there is a bigger group of more 7. It's good to book.
The food is inexpensive, really good and super fast. High turnover ensures freshness despite the average atmosphere. Great hawker style dishes.
Walked in and walked out. The place had no aircon turned on. We were seated next to the hot open kitchen which had smoke billowing out. Seriously with this Melbourne heatwave not likely
Cheap and tasty delicious authentic Malaysian food in Melbourne. The only concern is unpleasant odors in the restaurant, input outdoor seating will be great
Great Malaysian eatery that is authentic in flavour and smell (cooking smoke lol). Decently priced and serving size. Excellent local delights. Highly recommended.
Lordy. Only had one dish so far but the Assam laksa was amazing. Can't guarantee it didn't have MSG but ALs are hard to find and this one was perfect. Others might comment on the place and service being basic but that's what I like. I'll be back!
Omagoodnesss so yum! Perfectly done flat noodle and the most gracious staff (even though my Gran and I were the quintessential annoying customers who couldn't decide what we wanted!)
As a Malaysian living in Australia for 2+ years, this is by far the best Malaysian food I’ve eaten here. Some flavours are not strong enough for me, but I left feeling very satisfied.
CKT is good and has “wok hei” but a tad salty. Chee Cheong Fun large serving with awesome sauce - 8/10. But the Assam Laksa noodle is hard but good sauce is authentic 6/10. Keri Tiao Teng is good 8/10. The Tarik is very authentic and nice. Happy to refer people to go!
Friendly service, quick and authentic Malaysian! Well priced and the servings are good as well. Keep up the great work!
This is the best restaurant in Doncaster area! The curry laksa & sar hor fun taste really good. Go back here at least once a month with my parents-in-law.
Can find lots of Malaysian dish here however they are a bit too salty for me. They are tasty but I would prefer to reduce the salt then it would be just right. More healthy too.
Served pretty fast. Tried 4 dishes, food quality is above average. However, meat from chicken rice is tasteless.
