Had Char kway teow, Horfun and LokBa.
All were delicious, authentic, good portion and reasonably priced.
Will be back to try other items. Highly recommended

We know theres a long queue and you need us to finish get out quickly, I was planning to go as soon as I can as well, but taking my plate while there are still food on the table is just RUDE and no your waitress didnt ask if she can take my plate, she just took it while I was drinking.

Yes I had finished my plate but how am I going to eat the rest of the foods on the table without my cutleries and plate?

You just lost 3 stars from a supposedly 5 stars review because your food was good. And please dont tell me just go and grab another plate and cutleries. Fixing your attitude is more important

This is the place to go to in Doncaster if you want your Malaysian hawker fix. All the dishes that I’ve tried so far are fantastic! You can’t go wrong with their char kuay teow but do try their other dishes like char tang hoon, fish head noodles and laksa which were all very flavourful

Never go wrong here, everything on the menu is delicious. One of my favourite place. Can get very busy at peak hours so be prepared to wait.

Really disappointing service having been a long time customer…. Compared to prior to renovation, service has dropped significantly … disorganised waitresses, tables not well allocated with long extended wait times and only something done when waiting customers become annoyed.

Their true saving grace is the food taste is still awesome though for the price and small portion size, hardly value for money… not to mention they are also increasing their prices again!

We have been eating at Penang Flavours for the last five years. The food is always fresh, delicious and reasonably priced. Our favourite dish (and a must try) is Char Kway Teow. The wait staff are always extremely friendly.

The char kway teow is the best I've ever had so far around this area. It is full of flavours with the hint of charred smokiness! The fish head noodles are just delicious with a generous portion of deep fried fish head served separately. Will definitely come back for more!

I rate the char tang Hoon as the best thing ever here. Very fragrant and superbly flavoursome. You're missing out if you don't have this here.

Very poor service. Ordered the vegetarian dishes but dishes came with meat and seafood. The cashier insisted I didn't tell her, but I did. No exchange was offered either.

Penang Flavours in Doncaster is back! After what seems like an eternity, they are now open for takeaway only (when will this pesky lockdown end? !). The restaurant’s interior has been transformed and is unrecognisable. I cannot wait to dine in at their spacious premises soon.

The usual suspects taste the same as before - my favourite char kuay teow in Melbourne lives here. In second place is their char tang hoon (glass noodle). And the bronze goes to their hokkien mee (KL style with black sauce). Crispy pieces of lard was in everything.

For today though, I had their har mee (prawn noodle). This was also delicious with a nice balanced broth with generous toppings of prawns, egg and pork.

My long lost friend is back! ️

The return of an old favourite, after 2 years of renovations. Char Kway Teow with pork lard is still fantastic. We also love the Loh bak and Penang Flavours Fried Chicken (8 pcs, $18). They also have a great selection of Kueh but sells out fast. The new renovations have made the restaurant lovely and light - will be back to dine in post lockdown.

Penang was a regular lunch stop working in the shopping strip nearby. The staff are always very friendly, happy for you to sit and wait until your lunch was ready and very good at ensuring your food came out quickly knowing we only had a short lunch break.
Of course there was a few times that the weight was a bit longer and sometimes if I planned better I find ahead to pick up.
The lunch special of the chicken or Redang with rice and of course a side of Roti was my regular order but the Char kueh teow was amazing, full of meat & seafood but for 1 person a very indulgent lunch to eat alone.
Well not everything is as “traditional” as you would find overseas, they have westernised some dishes which is probably designed for the locals. However at lunch it is always packed, full of multicultural customers so you know that they are meeting everyone’s standards and tastes!
Whilst not all the staff have the best English, they certainly have friendly positive attitudes and you can see they work really hard behind-the-scenes.
This is a cash only restaurant so make sure you have money on you.

What a wonderful place to fulfill your longing for homecooked Malaysian comfort food! They do excellently sumptuous Char Kway Teow, certainly one of the best this side of town and an assortment of other Malaysian delights.

The Lobak and Fish Head Meehoon are also wonderful and irresistible. Would highly recommend this place to all you food lovers out there!

This is the restaurant I have visited the most times out of any this year and I live 25 minutes drive away! Their fried noodles (many varieties) and the fish head noodles I rate as the best in the city.
Be prepared for a bit of a tight squeeze in the restaurant, and for your clothes to smell like stir fry afterwards.

The real taste as you will find served on roadside stalls in Malaysia. Delicious food. Moderate price. No liquor license. No BYO.

This is the place to be if what you seek is the true flair of Malaysia food.
Upon stepping in you are bombarded by the wokhei and the constant noise of kitchen staffs working hard to serve hungry patrons who traveled far and wide just for a plate of their divine Char Kway Teow.

Very delicious Malaysian Penang food!

The restaurant’ food are high quantities and the services are good. I tried the char kway teow, it is yummy and would not over-cooked, the smell is good, and better than many of the restaurants’Malaysian char kway teow or Cantonese stir fried rice noodle.
Their fish head soup noodle also good to try.

It is always full of people and queue outside of the restaurant.
Highly recommended.

First of all, the restaurant is quite dusty and you can see traces of cooking oil on the walls and windows. Tables and chairs are old. This would have turned some potential customers away in the first sight.

In terms of authenticity, quite spot on the food flavors and the kitchen staff members are probably from Malaysia. We ordered the fish head soup noodle and fish fillet soup noodle accompanied by roti with chicken curry. The taste is good enough to boost the restaurant score to 3 stars.

The other down side is that they currently accept cash payment only. With more people using cards and electronic payment, it would be great if they can start using card terminals.
