Palace Cinema Como reviews
73Great place to have a drink while enjoying a movie. It's a bit more expensive than the other chains, but also caters more artsy and independent films.
It has been awhile since I went to the movies here, but I was pleasantly surprised at the comfortable seats and the small intimate cinemas. It is nice to be able to take drinks in real glasses.
It was a 830pm session movie we saw and hence it was super quiet which I found perfect. Highly recommended for movie date night.
Buy a seat for Platinum gets you a seat, that semi reclines. Claims to be better than Gold Class, not sure why, so avoid this. You need to offer something with this otherwise you are so behind the times and with offensive prices. Not even popcorn? That costs you 50c. Other places offer popcorn and a wine with your ticket. Palace Cinemas are usually great, this product is not. Go to Hoyts or Events for Gold Class, unless you are strolling down the road from Toorak.
A fine cinema complex that also features platinum class. Friendly professional service.
Good choice of beverages in a cosy chique atmosphere.
Took 20 minutes to buy popcorn (staff clearly didn't have experience). Terrible cinema, small screen, ugh. Not coming back.
A thankful hideaway from the stress of urbanity on the streets outside, glossy and glittery and visually appealing Palace Cinema Como brings you right into the magic realm of fantasy and mystery, welcoming you into a whole different parallel world with its own possibilities and opportunities. Festivals, special events, celebrities sharing insights during Q&A sessions, this venue with an impressive array of multi-cultural and multi-ethnic films on its repertoire is not to be missed! /Dr Jytte Holmqvist
We booked to see a platinum movie here and the staffs service was great. There were some technical difficulties for our screening and the supervisor came in and truly went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Even refunding the money back, and giving us drinks as well. They managed to get it working in the end. Thanks to the staff at platinum como for a wonderful experience.
I always enjoy going to the Palace Cinema Como and The Kino, They show a lot of movies that don't get a general release, Arthouse/World Movies I which are usually interesting, another take on things if you like! And the staff are very polite and they make great coffee! A good cinema company Palace!
Experience was NOT as expected. Need a LOT of improvement to be considered platinum. It doesn't deserve it. Go to Village Gold Class instead.
Always a great place to see movies, I also appreciate its hosting of national cinema festivals. Now looking forward to the Scandinavian Film Festival there.
I am profoundly deaf. I was able to go to the movies for the 1st time and hear via my own devices and their hearing loop technology the film. Marvellous!
My favourite Cinema in Melbourne!
Pain free seats/ great choice of movies/ a sophisticated place for people with taste. Particularly enjoy the Ballet films
If you're not scared of freshly widowed cougars wearing too much make-up and genuine 24carat bling, this cinema will tear you apart. Warning.longer films will feature elderly snoring.
The screens are starting to get a bit old but the whole venue is great. Clap loudly at the end of the movie to receive discount tickets for your next movie. Loudest clapper gets a free popcorn
Great theatre let down badly by charging an idiot tax of $3 on online bookings.why would you do that?
My home away from home - best independent cinemas with outstanding facilities & brilliant selection of films
My favourite Palace Cinema in South Yarra with style, charm and character. Great preview film releases and festivals.
Soft velvet seating and clean classy washrooms. Very comfortable place for your night at the movies.
The seats are a little small and warm inside, however the staff members are polite and helpful. Definitely enjoyed watching movies there!
A quiet little cinema that has a great variety of movies. Especially ones that you don’t find at your local Hoyts or Village Cinemas. Apply for membership there if you enjoy foreign, indie and film festival movies.
