Palace Cinema Como reviews
73Didn't even realise this place existed, sound was amazing and you can drink alcohol. Sit in the front half if you are used to massive cinema screens
One of the most elegant cinemas I’ve been to. The inside decor is gorgeous and the cinema staff are lovely. Toilets are clean and quaint. The cinemas aren’t too big either. Will definitely come back here again.
Amazing decor, like wow definitely the fanciest cinema I've ever been.the actual cinema room i went to didn't have much incline, so if someone were to sit in front of me, i bet my view of the screen would be impeded.good thing there was only five of us there!
I love these cinemas. They are always clean, movies on at a great time and when you sign up as a member the tickets are pretty cheap.
Really poor. I arrived for an 8pm showing, but no popcorn on sale? Then at 8: 45pm the bar had been closed because the staff had to have the bar closed by 11pm? I’ve frequented Palace Cinemas in Melbourne and Sydney and never experienced such poor service.
Highly recommend this picture theatre. Exceptional fims, discount available on parking, comfy foyer, food and drink available, soft lighting. What's not to love?
Been quite a few years since I have visited this cinema, after it's last revamp. It's looking tired now. I was disappointed that they don't offer anything substantial to eat.
Had to go and find an eatery, would have been convenient to dine there. Sure I have previously.
The movie was very enjoyable.
But I would probably prefer the Rivoli with it's rooftop bar next time.
One bad one good review.
I think the charge for booking online is too much, particularly in these times eg: booked 6 tickets booking fee was $10.20.
Asked staff to help a man who seems a bit confused and unsteady with a walking stick to find correct theater, glad to say a young man, staff member, immediately went to his aid
Awesome cinema, the more deluxe ones are super nice and comfortable, although signage could be improved as we had to ask for directions
Como is one of my favourite cinemas in Melbourne. Located at a good venue. Spacious and easy to access. They provide parking discount for film goers too. Staff is nice and helpful. Seats are comfortable. Will definitely keep coming back.
Classy cinema. Great movies, nicely set out, enjoyable refreshments, good parking and all round great venue.
Great to return to the Cinema Como and really enjoyed CRUELLA! Fabulous sound track and costuming.
Truly Beautiful theatre. Comfortable seating, spot on help at counter, extremely courteous and friendly staff.
Had a delightful evening with my partner tonight at Palace Cinema Como. The person who served us was warm and friendly and made us aware that if we signed up our tickets would be cheaper, but not in a pushy way. The movie was delightful (I guess nothing to do with the cinema but if you have the chance to see “Land” - do!), and the same person who served us was just as warm when we left as when we arrived.
Enjoyable enough filmgoing experience, it could have been helped by a better organisational area for larger groups and a cleaner seating area too. Even still, it's a fine place to see a smaller film.
The screens are starting to get a bit old but the whole venue is great. Clap loudly at the end of the movie to receive discount tickets for your next movie. Second loudest clapper gets free popcorn
Love love love Palace cinemas at Como. Almost want to give a severely bad rating so no one else goes but, I can't do that!
Smaller, more intimate, and more personable than the bigger cinemas. 99% of the time you don't have prepubescent teens there so people are well behaved, friendly and just better to be around. The seating is comfortable, the screens are big enough, and the staff are very friendly. A fair selection of alcohol and snacks from the bar, and process are reasonable for a theatre. A great experience every time. The range of movies is a little different to the mainstream theatres, but really how many superhero. Movies do you need to see? Many thumbs up for Palace Como
Excellent! Service and comfort is the highlight. I miss not experiencing this level of service everywhere.
I love it! The seats are so comfortable and the gold class isn’t over priced. I booked the wrong tickets and the staff were super helpful and fixed it up for me.
