Booked an appointment for a Sunday - you would think that since the website says “by appointment only” the store wouldn’t be so overwhelming busy. They also ask you to select the dresses you wish to try on before coming in - to which all of my selected ones were “not at this location”. I received minimal assistance from the employees and was really disappointed in my experience

I was really disappointed with my experience at the store. I didn’t love the dress selection but I expected that as I went in on a Saturday and assumed a lot would be on hire.

Not one person asked me if I needed help or even tried to assist me, no one offered to put the dresses I was holding in a change room for me, when I was waiting to go into a change room I was ignore and ended up just putting myself into one. The change rooms were not private and I felt pretty uncomfortable. When I came out of the change room I was ignored. Once I had finished trying on the dresses and exited the change room you - you guess it - ignored again. I put my own dresses away and just left.

The only words spoken to me the whole time I was there were “do you have an appointment”. Safe to say I won’t be back.

The team at O. N. S Melbourne are always extremely helpful & friendly. The boutique always has a great selection of outfits to choose from - you are bound to find something you love!
I was super happy with my dress (Zendaya (Lexi) Dress) and received countless compliments.

While it was far from where I live, I purposely chose to visit this place purely because of how beautiful their dresses were on the website. I had my eyes locked on a certain dress the moment I saw it and knew I had to come in to try it on.

The staff were so helpful and friendly, checking in every now and then when I seemed a bit lost. They helped me find the dress I liked in my size when it was too big at first. When I tried it on I knew it was perfect and my bestie agreed.

The booking process was made really easy for me and was super quick and when I faced complications they were very patient with me. I had no issues with returning the dress and they allowed me the option to post it back!

Overall a very comfortable and helpful experience.

I had such a great experience at ONS boutique! The staff were super helpful with suggestions for outfits for my event. Pick up and drop off of the outfit was so easy. Only the best! Staff are incredibly helpful, and a great range. All garments are amazing quality. I've been to a few hire stores in Melb, and this store is by far the best.

AVOID THIS DRESS HIRE COMPANY! They charged me $89 for hire plus $15 to post it back and a $100 bond!
The dress has a retail of $210 so for the amount of money I spent I could have owned it myself.
I looked at other dress hire companies to see if maybe it was common but saw they rent it out for $59 and don’t charge for shipping it back or take such a large bond.
I called the staff the same day I hired it, without even wearing the dress and told them the situation and they were extremely rude about it. I was happy to continue with the hire but I wanted to know if they could offer me a price match or something else because of the extra costs they’ve charged me when I could have gotten it elsewhere for just $59 and they rudely said “no we can’t do anything for you. If you want to bring it back and go with the other dress hire company you can but you can’t get your money back at all as we don’t accept cancellations” That’s such a poor excuse to be honest and I’ll never ever shop here again or recommend it to anyone. Businesses should appreciate their customers, especially at a time like this after covid has hit them hard but the girls here only care about pocketing the money rather than making sure customers keep coming back.

I usually have a hard time finding dresses that I feel good in, they’re aren’t a lot of places that cater for my body type but I hired not one but two dresses from ONS as they were so comfortable, sexy and made me feel so confident. The girls that helped me there were absolutely amazing and so easy to get along with which just made the whole experience even better! Thank you guys

I hired the 'Samira Gown' in Blue for a friends wedding and had the most pleasant experience with the O. N. S team. Unlike other online rental boutiques, you pay for a service with O. N. S. You have the luxury of actually trying on the dresses as well as taking it home with you the very same day, (which is perfect if you're in a hurry and hiring for a last minute event). The staff were friendly, offered styling knowledge and the transaction was super seamless. By far the best experience I have had with a dress hire boutique here in Melbourne! Look no further.
