The food is great, however for a main size salad it was $31 where they upsized it from entree to main and doubled the price and it's was still a medium size salad. So extremely overpriced and are not clear on costs. Wouldn't recommend.

Brilliant sunday roast. Friendly folks too. It's a little on the pricey side, but its quality produce - would recommend.

Bloody surprising. Awesome food. Just quality. Good service. Would be good if they had more largers and pilsners instead of IPA but still, the food was amazing and made up for it.

I've been here quite a few times over the last few years. Consistently excellent food, cocktails and service. Cant fault them.

Excellent British tap list, and a good menu. My Brisket was tasty but a bit on the dry side. The crumbed pork was delicious. Service was a bit slow, with long wait times on drinks (including water re-fills). Would come back again though.

Food her is delicious great range of steaks, sauces, and sides. We had the rump and the sirloin steak, with chili charred broccolini and the creamy mash. We also had the charcuterie board to start which was also really tasty. Cocktails are good, be careful ordering the bloody Marys as they had a variety of spice levels and my spice crazy husband ordered the hottest one and then had trouble digesting it! Service was fantastic, couldn't fault it. Price range is more expensive than we'd usually go for but it was a special occasion. We spent around $200 for two cocktails, two 400g steaks, two sides and the charcuterie board.

Also if you are sharing your steaks I'd suggest not having them pretty cut by the kitchen as they go cold very quickly.

Best place of this area, you won't find another like this at these outstanding options. Decent menu with full of delicious drinks and spicy food. Service of this place is quite fast and the staff members are very polite and humble in nature. Come here you would not regret although you will worth your time and money very well.

Michael and Karine should be very proud of this Thornbury institution. Amazing food, brilliant service and gorgeous, friendly staff.

We'll never tire of going here. The theme nights such as Xmas in July, offal vs prime cuts, gabs are all musts.

Had the set menu dinner. It was wonderful, with lovely service. I have come to know tipping isn't common in Australia, but I left a well deserved one here.

Staff are attentive and pleasant. The decor is nice and the place has a good atmosphere.
The food. Although some dishes were excellent, the overall British cuisine menu is not very British at all. And the major complaint would be the side of crackling, it was deep fried and hard to the point of teeth breaking, there were literally a couple of pieces that could not be chewed through!
Mentioned this to the waiter and still had to pay for it? !
This is not how you do crackling!

Enjoyed company Christmas lunch here. Had a lovely rib eye cooked perfectly. Great beer selection on tap. Not cheap, but great food so good value.

Class Sunday roast with a great British beer selection. The barkeep was really knowledgeable and great to chat too.

We were lucky enough to get along to one of the Git's legendary offal nights. Michael and the team really know how to tease and excite the palate of their diners. The dishes were novel and interesting and the drinks pairings were very well considered and spot on. The atmosphere is laid back and the staff couldn't be more friendly. It was a fantastic experience and we'll definitely be back.

Great beer options! The roast was tasty enough but the presentation and serving was poor for $30 a meal. There were only 3 small roast potatoes on the plate and very small helpings of all over veggies.

Visited for the first time one of the best places I have had a meal in long time, staff are super nice and a combating and the food was so tasty, well worth a visit, and for cocktails ask for a Venezuelan peach

Been there twice now and it has not disappointed. Good food, excellent service and in the end a most enjoyable evening.

Pretty phenomenal food, be aware that the steak is exxy but if you've got the dough and need some red meat give it a go! The croquettes are to die for.
