Food was just ok, but service was terrible, two staff members at the bar have a shot of alcohol before more people came in.that's clearly why service went to bad,

These people keep it TIGHT. Food was ridiculously good, you can feel the maturity and love for what they do/the produce. Had the most baller goat dish ever, hand pulled ales, drink list on point, service was amazing. Team works really hard and it is a a rare kind of old soul, tight ship hospitality here ️

Love this place. The food is amazing, they have some great vegan options too. The staff are really friendly and it has a lovely relaxed atmosphere.

Food was lovely and very high quality. Couldn’t fault anything that was ordered.
We were greeted by a lovely host, and whilst initially our waiter seemed friendly it soon became apparent that there was tension between members of staff. On more than one occasion our waiter had stern words with two other staff members within ear shot of our table.
The cherry on top was when we were chased by a member of staff, who had not waited on us at all the evening, outside the restroom and told we needed to pay. We had in fact already paid with our waiter.
If this review was purely on the food it would be a 10/10!

Absolutely LOVE Northern Git! This year and last year and the year before I've had my birthday dinner there, and have absolutely loved these celebrations. Everything about Northern Git is perfect! Corrine is always delightful, welcoming and fun, the food and drinks are delectable, and the ambience sparkles! Thank you so much!

The food is delicious totally recommend trying their 80b days in-house agreed steak and the gin and wine list is impressive
We had the trout, spicy wings and the rib eye.worth the money and the service was fantastic! Despite being under staff and under the pump these guys did an amazing job!

Absolutely beautiful place for dine in. Good tasty food with decent serving size. The steaks are brilliant. Went there twice and was soo full trying out everything on their menu that we had to skip dessert both times.
Will defenitely be going back.

Edit: Best Sunday roast in the land! I've had it twice now and they always change up the meat and veg and the gigantic Yorkshire pudding is just absolutely divine! They're even great to get as takeaway and re-heat at home.something to treat yourself to during lockdown. I highly recommend it.

The food was excellent, but the staff and customer service is what really made the visit an exceptional one!

Sadly, disappointing. Pastry in pie was dry, steak had an odd, gamey, flavour. Brussel Sprouts were cold, and the waiter’s manner was off putting. He was too focused on hustling us out for the next dinner sitting, when we really had plenty of time. For the price - well over $400 for 4 people, with only a modest amount to drink, it was most definitely not value for money

Great food and atmosphere at Northern Git. The aged rib eye was superb. As was everything on the menu! Didn't sample any of the sweets, but they certainly looked amazing.

Delicious roast of the day and the dessert platter to share was more than sufficient for 3 people. Service was excellent. Only thing i would say is that they could add orange juice to their drinks menu. Apart from that its a fabulous place to eat with a great atmosphere. Give it a try!

No complaints in the food area amazing taste everything but the price was very steep, service was a amazing but you would hope so on how expensive the food is, but the food and service backs it up at least unlike other restaurants

Delicious Sunday roast. The flavour bombs of caramelised whole roast garlic cloves and mint sauce set all the elements off nicely. A mid winter hit at Git.

I haven't had a suet pastry pie since my gran passed. Such a deep, meaty flavour. Paired with a great Scottish chocolate stout. Good thing there's no fireplace to sip a whiskey beside or you'd never get me out.

Due to covid our booking was only 1.15hrs booked at 5pm asked to be finished at 6: 15pm which was fine. Food and drinks we fantastic. At the time there was only my family of 4,2 other tables near us Seating 3 adults. Waiter was bloody horrible, after ordering mains I asked him if he prefer us to order dessert as well or after mains, his reply was “let’s see for time” - for business perspective this was poor. So I said no worries. Ended up ordering dessert 30 minutes in my booking. In the last 15 minutes of my booking my 1yr old son came down for stretched, squealed literally 10 seconds and another 5 seconds due to excitement, then the same make waiter came over and ask us to keep our son quite because there were (at that time) 2 other ppl dining. So i stood up and replied back sorry but he wasn’t doing any harm nor misbehaving and actually stopped, he then apologies saying he has 3 kids of his own! I apologised to the ppl next to us if this bother them, both diners said not at all and they said they have 3 kids each of their own and was never ever a issue. I advice the waiter if the restaurant is not family friendly should say that on their website and warn us! He continue to apologise saying did not mean to offended me which is fair enough, but for a booking for 1.15hr and paid 4 course meals with 5 drinks in that time you should be more bloody grateful in this pandemic and appreciate what you f**ing got in 1.15hrs instead of being rude on my husbands birthday when you can see we’re all trying to relax! Not only we dine out for good food but also great customer service. I would of given 4 stars however the food is not great if you get bad service. You also had no kids menu and not family friendly so take this off on your business details!

Maybe a strong 3. Table service was excellent, food was wholesomely displayed but a touch bland and luke warm. Perhaps an off day for the kitche and post corona restrictions so I can understand. Online booking was easy. Beer was absolutely delicious, even though a pricey $17 a pint I had to grab another of the English Pale Ale.

Delicious Sunday roast yesterday. Fantastic service as well. Friendly folk. I was jealous of what the table next to us was eating so will definitely be back!
