Mr. Miyagi reviews
81This place is amazing. You may need to wait to be seated but it’s worth the wait. If you get a waitress called Ali, you are going to get service with a smile and total personality. Enjoy.
Everything. Tastes. So good. I couldn’t stop ordering more off the menu because of how good everything was. Trust your server to bring you their faves and enjoy the ride. Really wish I didn’t have to go all the way to Australia for this.
Writing this on course 4 of 8
It’s honestly so good. Like some of the best food I’ve had in ages. Taco is ridiculous. Staff are awesome. Just come here and eat. You will not be disappointed.
2.5hr wait but worth it. Incredible staff. AMAZING food. Beautiful atmosphere and decor. Favorite dish was the handroll sushi and sashimi kingfish. Didn't enjoy the tofu dish though ; it was very mushie. Delicious cocktails at the bar as well. Order from the menu and as requested. Best espresso martini I've had
Just wonderful.
We drove a fair distance to try this restaurant located in Windsor and, although the drive was long, the experience was definitely worth it.
I could write pages about how good the food was, but won't! You need to stop reading this review and make a booking. Nothing I say will make any difference.
Two dishes that must be mentioned were the fish tacos and the pumpkin toast. I would kill to know how to make both of these. I would also die a very happy man knowing the secrets to these recipes.
I can't recommend this restaurant more highly.
Love the vibe @Mr. Miyagi. Although if you want a quiet place this is probably not ideal. It’s great for a group of people to have a bit of drinks/food and have some fun. I went on a Wednesday and it was already packed at 7. Make sure you book ahead if you are going on Friday or Saturday
Be sure to get here on opening if your date can get a lil hangry. Otherwise you’ll be sitting by the rear bar with your girl and you’ll both be getting a few drinks deep before a table opens up. Drinks without eating always makes for an interesting night. Gorgeous place and still the best Japanese in Melbourne.
Great food & great atmosphere. Definitely best for sharing but not a problem if you prefer to go it alone
Absolutely amazing! I’ve been twice in 2 weeks when visiting Melbourne and I cannot flaw it one bit! I would aim to get there before 6 to ensure not waiting for a table. If there’s 2 in your party. It won’t take long to wait. Incredible food. The Tofo Bao and Salmon Taco are incredible but be warned if you don’t like spicey food. The Midori cocktail was also delicious. Can’t wait to go back!
Over priced in my opinion, but that’s what you expect on Chapel street. Amazing service, the wait staff are charismatic and accommodating for groups of all sizes and ages.
Great place to go to for a birthday or anniversary.
Very tasty food, well presented and with good service. Though crowded the staff easily accommodated our group that included a person in a wheelchair by shuffling seats fit yet to be seated tables. Lovely, buzzy feel to the restaurant.
Delicious food - I loved the katsu curry puff and ofcourse the taco. Unfortunately they have extremely stuck up staffs. Also the vibe is not very comfortable, very pretentious customers and a lot of negative energy. Could be more down to earth given that it's on Chapel Street.
Damn you mad bougee dining here. This place is great food and great venue but you better be getting paid because it ain't cheap.
My friends and I had an amazing time at Mr. Miyagi for my birthday. The service provided by Sasha was amazing and the food and drinks were out of this world.:)
Really impressed with the fresh produce - salmon taco and chicken schitzel bun were the highlights of the evening; some of the dishes could have been better balanced for flavours and texture and less oily - desserts were great - was a tad too noisy although music was great - I feel you end up paying for being on chapel street rather than getting value for the food and drink you pay for - also a timed table; if service was more prompt and efficient would not have been a problem with that
Cheesy broccoli! Hand rolls! Godzilla beans! I'm just yelling my order at you. Edamame! Some sort of buns! It was good. And beer.
Wow wow so much to choose from so many delicious choices. Pink salt kingfish is Devine then the taco is special and the ohhhh the chivichie.mmmmmmmm again again again. I WILL BE BACK!
I really don't understand how this is 4stars plus? The fried chicken isn't even better than kfc for crying out loud, the pork bao tasted old and fake, the wagyu bolognese was the first time I havn;t been able to finish my food, actually disgusting, I don't know how we (me and gf) are the only ones giving a 1star, worst experience ever
Very beautiful food. Approx $50 p.p without drinks! Need to go in a group of 5 people and book in a booth! Order a whole bunch of food and share it around. Best cocktails and desserts I have ever had! NEED TO TRY THE PUMPKIN dessert! Orgasmic!
Surprised our mum for her birthday and it was a night to remember! We shall be back very soon!
Friends recommended the restaurant and I had big expectations, probably the reason of my disappointment. Most items were just average, including the fried chicken that was equivalent to the KFC one, but certainly more expensive. I don't understand why would Mr. Miyagi even offer such a basic option (and recommend it for newcomers). The service was clumsy, they offered options considered safe to someone who is allergic to shrimps but one of the options was rolls with shrimps. We sent it back and chose the ceviche, which was amazing. They also brought two other items twice because they didn't know which items we had already eaten (including the fried chicken).
