Mr. Miyagi

Absolutely sensational picnic offering! Have been missing Mr Miyagi's mouth watering food and this picnic was everything I had been dreaming of and more. An excellent way to slowly and safely re-enter society. I ordered two weekends in a row and honestly, would be keen to go for a third. The kingfish sashimi is the star of the picnic pack.

Great customer service and very friendly staff. Food was so tasty aswell. Ordered the chef selection menu which started with godzilla bean and it was super delicious as I usually don't like beans. Salmon tacos is my favourite, beef tataki and the bao were good too! The combination of pumpkin toast was surprisingly match but too sweet for me tho. Definitely will come back soon.

The food at Mr. Miyagi is flawless, had such a fun time here. Pretty loud venu in some areas so might not be the best for those who like a more quiet space. But my lord it’s worth the delicious food and cocktails!

My and my friend book a table for 2 yesterday. My friend was running a bit late, let’s just say about 15 mins or so. So this waiter was trying to rush me to take my order now! Like in a demanding way! I said to him she’s literally here and he even warned me that he will give me only minute to order. The couple sitting right next to me heard that and they felt the same way too that everything was so in a rushed! When my friend came in he finally take our order out and suggested straight away the chef selection without even explanation about the menu to us. Food was just average but not worth the price you will pay for not especially with the service. Because every after meal the waiter will come after you and grab every plate and really wants us to leave the table. By the time we were about to have our dessert, the waiter even said we have to move to the bar area (which we don’t mind) because they really need the table and we requested for another dessert to try but they completely ignored us.
So sad to say that we heard a good things about Mr Miyagi and that’s basically my first ever going out for a proper dinner after lockdown but it was just a terrible customer service and the food was not impressive as we thought

We ordered a lockdown takeaway last weekend. The food was lovely and very much looking forward to coming in for a sit down dinner when we can.

We had a slight hiccup with our order and we called to let them know. The service was unbelievable. We were not only offered a free replacement but it was driven to our door within 20 mins with phone updates along the way. This is a team who are busting their chops in hard times going over and above. Thank you. See you again soon!

Pick up location was a little dangerous to try and park being directly on buys beach road. The carpark at Ormond point would have been a better option. I love Me Miyagi however was left pretty disappointed with the food. Nothing special at all. Plain chicken sandwich and a bit of sushi. Overall a bit of a let down

10/10 service! After hearing such good things about this place I wasn't surprised at how good the food was, but was also blown away by the service. Everyone was so helpful and kind, it's rare to receive excellent service in such a busy restaurant. Well done team, can't wait to come back!

How does someone take something authentic - spin it to something else and then keep it authentic? I have no idea how this place does it but the food is amazing.

The fried chicken was a little bland for my liking and didn't stack to the other dishes. Probably a dish more suited for the little ones.

Definitely try the tacos, schnitzel and dumplings and get ready for your mind to be blown.

Fantastic experience. The food was delicious - there wasn't a single dish that we didn't enjoy. Plus the service was topnotch! Friendly & attentive waiters!

Food is good Japanese fusion. Salt and vinegar edamame, salmon and Nori tacos etc.show interesting creativity. We also tried the fried chicken, hand rolls and beef rib. All tasty! But likely not too far beyond your last 'decent' Japanese restaurant experience. What sets it apart is the branding, ambience and the service. I enjoyed it immensely.

Amazing! We loved the experience, the food was absolutely mind blowing. The interiors are lovely, they are organised and the staff are so nice and obviously treated well by management. We were served by Sasha who would have to be the best waitress I’ve come across. 10/10 Mr Miyagi

Four of us came to Mr. Miyagi on a Saturday night for dinner and drinks. We arrived before 6pm, but because they only take walk-ins for groups of less than 5, we had to wait about an hour for a table. Luckily we could access the bar at the back, and sit down for drinks. Among the group, we had vodka and lemon lime bitters, frozen rosé, frozen gin and tonic, espresso martini, Sanchez does Kyoto cocktail and a Riesling. The staff were very friendly and accomodating; I appreciated their exceptional table service and willingness to take their time and have a chat, whilst also being efficient. When we were seated for our dinner, our waitress Liz provided great service, and gave us a little menu tour to give us ideas of what to order. We got the edamame, salmon nori tacos, special happy handrolls, miyagi fried chicken, short ribs and rice, and pesto pumpkin gnocchi. The food was served in a timely manner and tasted absolutely delicious. My only criticism is that the food is a little bit pricey, but that is to be expected, based on the location and popularity and quality of Mr. Miyagi. I have been meaning to come here for so long, and I’m really glad that I did. The wait time to be seated is definitely testament to the popularity of the place, and it’s kinda one of those places in Melbourne everyone just has to try! Thanks so much to all the staff involved at Mr. Miyagi - the waiters/waitresses, bartenders, chefs etc. We had a great time and loved the food!

Chapel Street Windsor's finest! Friendliest service and so accomodating. Was hesitant to dine in due to the set menu but was so glad I decided to. Oh and after almost a year I nearly forgot how good the fried chicken is. GOD TIER.

I can't believe how rude the front of house staff is at this restaurant. My friend and I just tried to have dinner in this amazing Japanese restaurant, that we love but the woman at the front didn't let's us in! As soon as she saw us walking in, she started waving her hand while pointing at us! I asked for a table for 2 and in a very rude way she asked us to leave! Why? Just because she didn't like us? She told us to come back in 2 weeks! Really? Why? !

It is a shame this amazing restaurant is making a bad reputation just because of the staff they have. Believe me, we won't try to spend our money in this restaurant again!

Had one of our best date nights at Mr Miyagi! Loved the food, drinks and vibe so much. 100% recommend and can’t wait to go back to try more of their dishes. Yum!
