Quite disappointing.waited 1.5 hours for eggs on toast. We were forgotten and they noticed as we received ‘complimentary’ coffees. The staff definitely need to alter their attitude - disgruntle welcome and service. Seems like it could be a nice place but had a negative experience.

Just beautiful! I was there for a wedding and it was stunning. We didn't need to drive anywhere else for the ceremony, canapes or reception because it was all at Montsalvat

This place is the bomb! I have come here the last 2 years to celebrate my best friends birthday. We came again in January and set up a couple of tables for a picnic.there were staff setting up for a wedding. They were so lovely and worked around us as long as they could before we told them we would move so they could finish setting up. Everyone one was helpful and so lovely!

Beautiful grounds, dripping in history with lots of exhibitions on display. The restaurant Boulevard did a delicious breakfast and great coffee. It was my third attempt to get there though, as often there are events and weddings on, so plan ahead

#historic monsalvat is a great place to go on a walk and look at nice art too. They have an okay restaurant and run art workshops. They have beautiful buildings and a nice garden.

We had our wedding and reception here. What attracted us was the authenticity - from the grounds to the incredibly helpful staff. You have to shortlist this place when considering where to get married!

It definitely brings back wonderful memories as I had my wedding here back in 2014. Now back with a toddler and a newborn and this place is still as beautiful as ever.

Beautiful place to spend the afternoon with the family. There's a good cafe onsite. Nice views and old buildings to explore. No other activities available though. Signs and clearer delimitations would also make it easier to go around the site. Very friendly and helpful staff

A beautiful garden with buildings seemingly from another age. It's a trip to Europe just down the road. A lovely cafe especially on a sunny day seated outside.

This a lovely place to dine, and the food is quite good. It's a shame though that some of the staff have not been trained in basic manners and how to make guests feel welcome. You'll find friendlier staff a McDonald's!

An amazing historical place, established in 1934 by an architect as an artists colony. There are some art items for sale.

Amazing venue! I was mesmerized by the cottages. This place is really suitable for weddings or special occasion. A very good place for photography and vintage vibes.haha.

Quirky place, very arty and well done to all those dedicated people who set it up and invested hours doing so, and continue looking after the place. It was good to see and speak with artists at work. Lovely food at the restaurant, there are also a few trucks on site. Don't forget to check out the ceramic classes. Visited during the school holidays in September.

A beautiful place to spend a sunny day. Gorgeous architecture and grounds and an interesting history. On the day I went there weren't many artists working in the studios, but it was still interesting to peek into some of the workshops. As you walk around it's a little like your walking around an old English village, or some parts even the set of Harry Potter. The other thing is the Cafe / Restaurant does amazing food, pastries and coffee. Well worth stopping there after the wandering around.

Monsalvat comprises mostly of buildings with rustic French architecture, suitable for familys and tourists alike. The view of the majestic Australian hills, the smell of the aussie bush and it's beautiful architecture ties perfectly for the people that are looking for places to have their wedding as well. The only criticism is that at times the scent of manure can be smelt when ever their gardens are being fertilized.

Lovely place to visit, great for a weekend outing. Feels like you’ve stepped back in time to a magical place without leaving the city. Cafe was great too nice selection of brunch, coffee and local wines.

Montsalvat is a magical enchanting place to visit. Its like stepping back in time. Buildings and galleries built with the feel of yesteryear. Paintings, sculptures, gargoyles, leadlight windows and peacocks in the beautiful gardens.
Frogs in the pond, Geese roaming.
A wonderful place to explore and delight.
Once you have experienced Montsalvat you will be under its spell and its charm will call you again & again.
