Misoya Sake Bar reviews
79Comfort in a bowl. Delicious food in a lovely relaxing atmosphere. I like people watching from the window seat.
This is some of the best ramen I’ve eaten in Melbourne. It’s the same amazing quality every time I go, and I go almost once a fortnight. It’s a great place to dine alone, they set you up with a single table and don’t prioritise big groups leaving you in the corner, don’t put baby in the corner: P
Very rude waitress, told us it was going to be a 40mm mite wait on food. We said we were ok with the wait. She then told us no sorry they are to busy and asked us to leave
Nothing beats a bowl of ramen on a cold night. Rich and creamy broth. Tasty chashu and onsen egg. I have added two karaage as well.
I was quite shocked to find out about the big price increase on their infamous ramen. The broth is still one of the best in town but the standard of the toppings have dropped dramatically. Most specifically the pork slices were straight up dry cuts which differ to the fatty, melt in your mouth ramen pork slices. The ramen egg was quite tasteless as if it had not been marinated long enough.
Fantastic ramen, pride is taken with the broth. Recommend SAKE tasting paddle to go with.
Worth a visit. Good atmosphere and outdoor seating on the strip.
Highly recommend the chicken broth ramen and spicy chilli number 3! Amazing combination and I loved you can add as much or as little as you like.
The food is lovely but the staff is unwelcoming, asking for a table for 2 on a weekly night and the rude waiter reply with ZERO manners, we asked to leave our name on a waiting list but this guy was so indifferent that literarily did not give a s**t. Food is lovely but staff is a Zero for me NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN. (And ps. Working in hospitality from a life time!) this is not how u treat customers.
The ramen here is amazing, plenty of noodles and enough to be full without overdoing it, it was 100% what I was looking for on date night! We got the gyoza too and the vinegarette was balanced and not too tart.
The staff were lovely and accommodating of our baby pram (moved 2 seats from our table so we could park it with us) despite being a busy Thursday night.
Will definitely be back!
Best Japanese ramen in Melbourne. If you like spicy flavour, make sure you add the garlic chilli oil! The noodles are the best part. I'd definitely come back here again
You can enjoy real Japanese food here!
I ordered curry and miso ramen, both of them were so yummy!
Perfectly standard ramen & sake spot. Nothing against the food, it just has the classic bloated brunswick pricing. The sapporo beer was nicely priced though in contrast. Very similar to many nice places around. More of a 3.5 but leant towards the 4
I had booked my work Christmas dinner here for 17/12/21, they were closed due to some reasons. I do understand that they could be closed for quite a few reasons but AT LEAST CALL AND INFORM THE PEOPLE WHO HAS RESERVATIONS for like 12 guest.
I would not have any issues if they had curtesy to inform even an hour before the reservations.
A cute little ramen bar with a simple and delicious ramen menu along with a number of sides and drinks. The tofu is really tasty! Have been here a few times for my ramen fix and will no doubt return
I will just say this.and I wish i had expressed this with staff for what I paid
Vegan Soba (V)
Variation: Vegan Soba (V) Main size
Topping: 200g Stir-fired vege mix (GF) (+ A$4.00)
$27 total
Lets say as one who chooses to eat vegan meals. I was pretty shocked for what I paid for. I guess to me a huge bowl of plain noodle with green plain salad mix on top was not what I was expecting.you have to pay extra for chilli oil! I paid an extra $4 to get a tiny serve of stir fried veggies on the side that were heavily soiled in oil
so no protein for a vegan soba.honestly i dont mean to offend but that to me is a lazy meal and exhorbant prices for lettuce and noodles
sadly disappointed for a lunch experience for a starving human
Got the takeaway ramen kit last night and it was amazing! So easy with a video online to show you how to put it all together. Thanks guys ️
Best Ramen in Melbourne (in my opinion). The staff are really friendly. Love this place and grateful it's open for takeaway during covid lockdowns
I'm a regular here for the stand-out Ramen (as per a previous review).
Thought we would report an unfortunate experience, for others to consider.
A few weeks back while dining in, a young man entered who purported to be the partner of a young women employee. He complained (quite forthrightly - causing a scene) that the older male manager had 'hit' his partner at the end of a shift for not having done something during the close.
I understood from what he was saying that that had led to her being distressed and not returning to work.
While we obviously had no idea about the context/allegation, the response from the older male manager was not to deny that it happened, but to say that he only hit her lightly ("Like this" - queue a 'light shoulder slap'). The partner was pretty irate/firm that this was wrong (obviously it is), that it was very distressing, and that it should never happen again, for which the manager apologised.
As such, we won't be going back here (however great the Ramen is, and how nice the staff are - which they are). We can't accept that that occurs, and that the distress/injury felt by the worker appeared real and significant. We recorded the interaction, in case it needs to be confirmed.
Two of us had the Misoya Special Ramen. Started out great, decent portions of everything except the pork. Noodles are cooked one way (it seems, they don't ask). As we started eating I noticed a man across from me leave with half of his broth in the bowel, we didn't get close to finishing either. The top of it was nice but towards the bottom it became very overpowering and gritty.
Small little place without much room for privacy.
Easily one of the best miso ramen I've ever had, including those in Japan. If you like ramen, you are doing yourself a disservice by not making a reservation here.
