Misoya Sake Bar reviews
79I’ve only ever had their creamy chicken ramen and it is so good and the lady serving me today was so sweet and the food came out quickly and even an hour later when I got home it was still good! Definitely go there it was amazing.
Small, but nice and cosy place. The food was very good. The service and waitresses was fast, kind and very helpful.
Nice vibe, friendly staff, but the worst ramen I’ve ever had. Noodles were out of a box and weren’t even fully rehydrated. Chewy and thin—those rice noodles you get at the grocery. Most veggies in the soup we also dehydrated. The only thing that was *fresh* was the broccoli (which doesn’t belong in ramen to begin with). For $22 I really just can’t believe it.
The ramen it is ok, but expensive.then I ordered ramen with chicken and I had ramen with pork (less expensive then chicken) ; moreover, the clerk pretended not to understand simple requests.
Excellent service. Fast, friendly, polite.
Food was beautifully served and tasted delicious.
I attended Misoya Sake Bar on a Friday night - 03/05/2023. Decent food and drinks for an affordable price, as well as lovely staff. I’ve never had Gyoza served in such an interesting way before (see attached pic).
There was no wait on food and the waitress who attended to us was amicable enough to let me practice my limited Japanese with her whilst ordering (although they do have QR codes available to order off if you’re more into that).
The venue were also kind enough to allow me to bring my dog on my date as we’d booked seating in the courtyard. Thanks guys)
A Brunswick gem! I’ve been here a handful of times already. Their tsukeman was especially delicious! I got it served cold which was so refreshing. They have heaps of vegetarian and vegan options and all their dishes are quite customisable which I really appreciated as someone who doesn’t eat meat. I like their edamame too, the charred bits give them an interesting burnt taste.
The Ramen is delicious. I would love to rate this place 5 stars. Unfortunately 2 small pieces of pork does not warrant cost. It took nearly 1 got to get 2 soups out at 8: 30pm with only 1 other take ordering at the same time.
One of the best ramen spots in Melbourne. Consistently good, comparable to the ramen in Japan and reasonably priced. The broth is always so hearty and delicious, the pork melts in your mouth, and there’s a great amount of noodles. Even though the ramen is good, don’t skip on their smaller sides, particularly the gyoza. Little pockets of savoury pork with a delicate dough. I really can’t fault it. The best in the area for a reason.
One of my favourite ramen spots in Melbourne along with Shujinko! The broth is so delicious and creamy and everything is cooked to perfection
This is my regular dinner place. The ramen here is insane. The best I’ve had in Melbourne. It’s rich and creamy with perfectly cooked pork and noodles. I take all my friends here for special occasions. I would give them 6 stars if that were possible.
Made a reservation for a table of 2,7: 30pm on a Friday night. Got to the place and discovered there was no table for 2. Poor! Really disappointing as not even an apology from staff.
Overall quite underwhelming food.
We had the okonomiyaki (soggy and too tangy), kaarage don (chicken kaarage wasn't even slightly crispy) and creamy chicken ramen (tasted quite flat).
Waited an hour and a half for Ramen
We asked at the 40 minute mark and they had forgotten our order but did not apologise or give an explanation, they then took another 50 minutes to bring out food with no apology, explanation or communication at all. When it came time to pay the bill they flatly refused to comp even one drink or give a small discount and still offered no explanation.
Ramen was nice though
I've tried most ramen places in Melbourne and quite a few in Japan and in my mind this is the best by far. I come here most Sundays as a treat with my partner. The ramen broth is unique, different to the standard tonkotsu. The quality is consistent, the egg perfect and I like the pork chashu here over most places as it's softer and thicker. They also offer karaage in the ramen as an extra which is awesome. Absolutely 5 stars!
Paid the $3 extra for the “150g” of vegetables with my Ramen and it was a tiny pile of shredded cabbage and some bean shoots. The pork belly was sliced thinly and consisted mostly of fat. A bit steep at $24.85.
The staff were so warm and kind - just had the most pleasant, gorgeous energy! And lovely food of course!
Great place to eat. Great tasting Japanese food.
The restaurant has an outdoor back-area also which is pleasant to sit in.
The Beer is Fresh and the Ramen is on point. Check it out. Friendly Staff and great Menu. Gyoza also very tasty.
We ordered one serving of vegan ramen and one serving of misoya special ramen along with spicy oil and pure chilly oil. We also got a free plate of fried tofu and it tasted really good:) Quantity was quite good for the price, we couldn't complete it in one go! We didn't enjoy the ramen as much as we thought we would. Vegan ramen had very few veggies in the bowl.
