Good bagels but will continue to search for a genuinely NY bagel. Could be a bit denser/doughier but definitely still yummy.

Hot Place has a reason. You can choose a variety of bagels to eat sandwiches, It's not too much or too little. Perfect to me! If you go to Fitzroy, be sure!

I initially rated one star because I got a stale bagel.

I was contacted by Ben the owner of Mile End Bagels for a chance to redeem himself.

Redeem himself he did, we've eaten bagels EVERYDAY this week at the office and they have been lovely!

Nice vibe. No options for vegans (I asked beyond the menu) and not very quick if you're in a hurry. I think I caught the lady at the till at a bad time, it seemed anything I said could have escalated into something, was pretty intimidating.or maybe she was angry that I asked for a vegan option? Coffees are good though!

The best bagel I've ever had, without exception.
Perfectly crisp on the outside and deliciously chewy on the inside.
Exactly how a bagel should be cooked. Perfect!

A bagel and a coffee. What a way to celebrate the birthday of my queen! That's the only advantage of having a queen whose make-believe birthday is being celebrated with a public holiday. BTW thank you for operating during this day and I won't consider it as a disrespect towards my queen. It's all make-believe anyway.

Going back to the bagels, although I won't compare them with New York or other cities' bagels because firstly, I've only been to New York for a stop-over; and secondly, I only have bagels once or twice a year that by the time I have another, I've forgotten how good or bad the last one was.

Therefore my rating for this place is gauged against my overall food experience. They're pretty good. And yes I would have rated it more if not for it being kind of pricey.
