Metro Hobbies reviews
81 Disappointing service from Sarah, one would assume after spending thousands of dollars they would be more accommodating.
Back to online shopping with Hobbies Direct.
New store is light and well stocked with all sorts of hobbies - model trains, jigsaws, lego, trinkets, model cars, kawaii stuff etc. Staff are very knowledgeable. Difficult to go in and NOT buy anything!
A hobby shop with a wide range of products and kits for scale modelers. They have a large variety of Lego, electric car sets and much more.
Awesome hobby store with a broad range of products. Maybe not huge range of specific items but you can't always please everyone.
Excellent Range, Top Class Service from Lauren, I highly recommend this store even just for browsing around!
Prices are a little on the high side compared to some competitors Recommend also BNA Model World in Moorabin, who have a huge range of discounts and specials, Metro hobbies is nicely located in Bourke St CBD and also have a store in Box Hill. Friendly staff high quality pre-made models on display to promote various kits. Smallish store but with great range of Model kits, supplies model railroad accessories etc

This store relocated recently and although it's not as large as it used to be and it doesn't hold as much stock, it still has all the things you need to build and finish a kit. There's a great selection of paints and tools and it's worth checking out if you need to stock up.
Brilliant store and great location, amazing staff, good range of stock and prices.
Would love to give 5 stars, but not such a great store to visit if you have mobility issues such as a wheelchair or pram.
Amazing range of hobby materials, very helpful staff, the prices are usually the same or better than I can find online.
Great customer service. Big range. The guy I spoke with had a lot of knowledge and was really helpful
First time going here. The store have a good variety of different categories from Legos to Gundams. Staff was very helpful and friendly in term of services when I was asking about painting for my model kits
Great new venue. Been going to Metro since it was previously Vic Hobbies mid way up Swanstown St where they had the glass tank models display in the entrance. Miss chatting with Daryl but.
Great selection of models, gunpla and model supplies. Staff are really friendly and knowledgeable
It was great but unfortunately this city store (only) is im process if shutting down as at August 2017. Lot's of items on sale.
Incredible shop in many ways. Paint and brushes and you name it, it's there. Miniatures en masse too. Only thing lacking are vintage car models. Only ones I could find were customized. On the other hand I'm pretty sure these guys will order the items you are looking for. Awesome.
Helpful employees. They didn't have an item in stock so I placed a reservation and was able to pick it up the next time it was open. Only one minor complaint: the website isn't always correct. Sometimes something may not be in stock even though the website says it is, and it could also be in stock in a different store.
This shop has been around forever! Very friendly and helpful staff. Not as much stock as the box hill branch but still plenty to choose from and the sales DO have some great bargains.
Metro hobbies is a great little hobby store tucked away in the city. The staff have been amazing and helpful Everytime I've been in and are more than happy to help explain things to newcomers.
They stock a range of models kits from gunpla to cars, model trains and RC stuff.
Prices are pretty good and are comparable to online when factoring in shipping.
I would definitely recommend checking them out if you're after a Melbourne based hobby shop.
Great range of Lego, Model Kits, Slot cars and a whole lot more, always worth a visit upstairs when you are in the city (they had a 20% off special on Lego when we were there last. They also had some leg sets we'd never seen before
Go to HobbyKing for all your hobby needs!
DO NOT SHOP OR BUY ANYTHING HERE, unless you want to get ripped off. You have been warned! Sadly, I did not receive any warnings and fell victim to them: (
Ridiculously overpriced goods! I didn't know how much I got ripped off until my friend told me about HobbyKing.
