Merrywell Bar and Dining

Absolutely disgusting attitude and respect from the blonde female worker at the door, the way she spoke and acted aggressively towards an ethnic family was terrible and unacceptable. She puts a bad name to crown and mostly merrywell. Crown should be embarrassed for what a scene she created out of nothing. Left a young lady in tears. Don’t think you a little badge makes you powerful, it can be removed pretty easily. You’re just another name on the payroll

Very rude and threatening security guards who were aggressive towards my friend and I on Friday night. We felt that the security staff were extremely unprofessional. They reacted in a manner which was unnecessary simply because we attempted to leave the bar from the “wrong” exit. This was disappointing and I would never come back to the Merrywell for drinks again.

I ordered a hot dog for $10, and it was literally just a weiner in a bun. The weiner had really chewy skin, and didn't really taste good.

Definitely not work the money, especially with the half hour wait I had.

Impressed with the service and food. Went above and beyond tonight - I ordered a shake not thinking about the possibility of soft serve. I'm pregnant so this is a big no to consume. Staff saw I was upset and fixed the problem no questions asked

I didn't expect much but thought the burger was OK. Good fries. It's all kids serving so you get the picture. Good place to hit if you've been out for a few beers.

Went here for birthday celebrations with a friend and service was absolutely shocking. Staff were rude and unhelpful. Ordered a drink and got the wrong size given to me and they just laughed at me and said “well too late now”. Never coming back again and wouldn’t recommend.

Honestly McDonalds does a better quality burger, for $22 you get undercooked onion rings that are full of salt and almost paper think crispy hard chicken paddy.very disappointed

Not worth for the price. I had the merrywell at lunch which was average and had a not fresh lettuce.
I don't come back, would go to McDonald's instead.

Food is great. Like, really great. Super Fries and KISS burger in particular are highly recommended.

Not a lot of seating though and the music is loud and inescapable. Get takeaway and be happy.

The service was terrible and rushed. The waitress didn't clean the table properly. Overpriced for patties, hot dogs and chips that have no flavour or herbs. Food was edible but not enjoyable, you're better off walking to McDonald's.

Not bad service but honestly the worst tasting food we've ever had. I dont think our dogs would even eat it. Over priced garbage.

Went to the upstairs for Christmas lunch.
Started out ok, got seated and out first drink.
Service slowed from here as it got busier which is expected.
Food was average, no choice just got from the menu one of each dish.
For desert the sorbet on the povlova tasted of sea water/oysters. Told wait staff discreetly. From this point we were ignored.
All tables around us got service went thru the courses and left. After nearly an hour of waiting no final course and no bill, had to go to the desk and ask. Told the staff had no final course and been ignored, just shrugged so got the bill and left. So disappointed with the treatment and spoilt what was a good day until then.
Never using another crown venue again after this treatment.

Went in for a quick meal.
Waitress was very rude. Water was served to all the tables around.
When we requested, we were asked to go to the bar to get water ourselves.
Left before our meals were served - manager’s excuse was that it’s her second day.
Worked in hospitality for 3 years myself so I can tell when someone is being rude and not just inexperienced.
And maybe the manager shouldn’t have untrained staff working on one of the busiest days of the year.

Pretty good burger place. Surprisingly better than most cheap burger shops like grilled. Food did take a little while longer than expected. Chips we're also good.

Greasy most disgusting burger I have ever seen. My friend couldn't even finish his burger and he lives on burgers.

Good Menu and food was nice. But the manager or owner was in house and making the staff unnecessarily stressed, which made me uncomfortable

Unimpressed with the burgers here. Overpriced and the taste was only subpar. I dont see anything special about this place.

Went in for an earlyish dinner during the week. Loud music and baseball commentary blaring in the background. Service was average, although food was out very quickly. Burger was dry, chips were undercooked. One positive were the milkshakes - the salted caramel was outstanding, although they were only half full (if your going to use a classic metal milkshake cup at least fill it 3/4 of the way).

Located right next door to Crown. Great place. Food was incredible, fresh and delicious. They are very capable of handling large groups at short notice. We called and requested 80 seats for The Sydney Bears Ice Hockey team along with there fans and the team at Merrywell could accommodate us within the hour Thanks again.

Not what we expected for a dinner on Wednesday evening in that location.
Something we liked was the vegetarian options but.
The Hot Dogs are not recommended.
The service was really bad, the girl at the counter was rude and unhappy to take orders.
The milkshake are also not really good and the cup where they brought the shake had a hole.
