Merrywell Bar and Dining

We go to crown after a long time. Find their menu has limited choices, as so called lockdown menu. We ordered roasted pork belly and southern fried chicken, which taste so good! Fried chicken is very crispy outside and juicy inside. Pork belly has sweet and sour taste with little spicy twist, makes the dish perfect. Highly recommend to try these two dishes! Glad to see some restaurants quality still remain the same.

Worst service I’ve ever received. They sat us in a lounge area for dinner and sat people that were behind us on a table we would have fit on. They then accused us of trying to “sneak” upstairs while sitting at our table doing nothing and then kicked us out literally 15 minutes after receiving our food. If I could give no stars, I would have. Will not be visiting again

Terrible sloppy burger and chips were over cooked. I asked for a refund and the manager was abrupt with me. Don’t go here sloppy food and sloppy service

Tried this place twice now and sad to report disappointed both times. Too much sauce making the burgers sloppy.
Service however is good and staff lovely.

I never write bad reviews but this has to be said. The food, service and drinks were all bad. I ordered the Philly cheese steak and it was tiny with a tough piece of minute steak and inedible gristle. My $22 Long Island iced tea was watered down coke and I could not taste a drop of white spirits. The young service lady was not pleasant at all and wanted to clear plates whilst I was still eating and drinking. Will never return as I was disappointed pre pandemic too. Once bitten twice shy.

Terrible experience ever! My friend recommended this restaurant to me and I’m so happy to take my family for a lunch and the customer service was disaster …. I was kind of feel like racism from one of the staff. The way she talked to me and the attitude she behaves were so uncomfortable. I don’t feel like respect as a costumer at all! Also, I want to know why there is a manger there and he can just stand there and watched the scene doing nothing. What a awesome customer services! I would never write a bad review for a restaurant and this experience really made me disgusting!

Live in Melbourne all my life and never been 15 km outside the CBD. Seeing this peej on utubes let's me know how bless l am. You can have it.

With so many great burger places around town, I wouldn't give this a second look. Poor service and even poorer food quality.

An AWFUL experience today! I am exempt from wearing a mask and was discriminated against because I have a medical condition! This is illegal Crown Casino! I was not allowed to order food unless I wore a mask! You CANNOT eat while wearing a mask - management get a clue or face court on discrimination charges! Had a much nicer experience at Grilled down the strip. Thank-you grilled for the Southbank views, GF bun and stellar service. I give you ZERO Merywell

Kudos to the waiting staff, and the food was great. But absolute fail on the bar service, particularly the main guy doing the drinks in a non-uniform shirt who seemed to be the manager. “What do ya want? ” was his greeting, then thoroughly rude and arrogant. He seemed to continue to be rude to the rest of the bar staff, who were then on edge and mucked up our orders. Really appalling, if that guy isn’t the owner then the actual owners should consider removing him immediately. Completely out of his depth and unable to handle the pressure. Ruined an otherwise ok experience, an appalling customer experience thanks to him.

Rude and lazy staff, didn't tell us the QR code to order from the table wasn't working, didn't care when we didn't receive food after waiting for 40 minutes. They said sometimes they just forgot to tell people it wasn't working but there "used to be a sign". Had to ask two different people for a refund.

Great place with magnificent atmosphere for those that seeking to spend their weekends with quality foods drinks and environments.

Had burgers and cocktails here today. Onion rings was awesome and the "old fashion" cocktail was nice. Yes the price was high, but hey you have to pay $$$ for service & location. If you want cheaper food than head to the food court at Crown. However if you want fancy and cool- and cash is not a thing, than this place is worth checking out.

So good! Had a mistake in the kitchen but they sorted it so efficiently and looked after us so well. Steph & Emma served us and were amazing!

Never recommended.very low quality food, I ordered chicken sandwich which was more toasts rather than chicken! Totally, don’t waste your money with Merrywell!

I've been to Merrywell a couple of times before, and they didn't disappoint. This past weekend however, I'd say they missed their mark. I had the Double Up and my partner had the Super Chicken. The double was dripping like there was no tomorrow, but otherwise decent. The super chicken on the other hand was crispy to the point of being quite dry and entirely tasteless. In the end, the chicken patty was set aside and me and my partner shared the beef patties.

In short, don't expect too much and you'll not be too disappointed. For the prices Merrywell commands, I'd recommend looking elsewhere for equally priced and better burgers.

I will never go back - abrupt rude service, $10 Min for a bottle of beer, $12 for a Corona, table water is warm! My $19.50 steak sandwich can get better at McDonald's for $4.90!
