Meletos reviews
78Lovely place with a a brewery in the wine region. Great food. Its best to make an appointment especially during weekend. Good variety of beer and ales
Exceptional dishes, by far the best in Victoria and best value for money, I had the $80 3 course meal. Definitely beat Attica or levantine hill
After waiting for almost an hour and finally got to our table, only to be told that outdoor area can order from "outdoor bar menu". Wonderful service not mentioning that at all when we walk in.
Recently had a 3-course dinner for 2 on a week night. Lovely ambience and was quite relaxing as it wasn’t busy. Service was generally great.small hiccup to remind for the drinks but otherwise was impeccable.
Food was great! Good sized portions. So I could have gone with 2-course instead. Will definitely come back again.
This is everything a winery should be catering to everyone's tastes. Want to drink beer in a beautiful garden, they have that. Want to eat a quick amazing souvlaki in beautiful surroundings? Out would you like a degustation menu with matched wines? They were really busy the day we were there but they dealt with it well sending people to the beer garden to have a few drinks and messaged customers when a table outside was ready. The gift shop on the way out was nice bought local tea honey and chocolate.
Absolutely loving this restaurant! Soooo much sunlight! Reasonably priced, great food, great wine, and staff were friendly too. What could i ask for more? Definitely revisiting! Menu attached!
We found this place by accident and we loved it. The garden area is amazing and have great wood fire gryos and pizzas. Worth coming here for a wine or a local craft beer brewed here
Beautiful setting and beautiful food to complement the setting. I attended a 60th birthday party here today and it was very relaxed and both the food and service were excellent.
So disappointing.
After a recommendation from a local, we were disappointed that we wasted our Saturday dinner on our weekend away here.
The place and the view looked stunning as we walked in, but it went down hill from there.
1) The latest sitting we were able to book was 6: 30 pm, yet there were empty tables after that
2) The service was extraordinarily slow. We were still there at about 9: 30, and hadn't even had dessert.
3) Extra wine ordered didn't arrive until we chased it up
4) The sides didn't arrive until our mains were finished, so we sent them back.
5) The very small piece of barramundi was like reprocessed, mashed fish of some sort. Terrible, but I ate it because I was so hungry by the time it arrived.
6) It was really noisy in the restaurant. There was no noise abatement material anywhere
On the positive side, our drinks were taken off the bill due to the issues we had. We were initially offered free dessert, but by that time we just wanted to get out of the place.
I wish I had bothered to look up the other recent reviews before I booked it.
An idyllic location - with great views and a quite charming site. The wine list is solid - it’s unsurprisingly dominated by Yarra Valley wines and their range doesn’t extend much beyond that, but the choices are solid and not overly pricey. Two courses goes for $65 and three for $80. The mains are small but accompanied by sides and all the food was great.
Often busy which can mean a wait but at least you can take a walk to check out the mountains.
Great food and atmosphere with the service being outstanding. Good selection of menu items covering people's needs and requirements.
The food was excellent, and the staffs were really friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend visiting this location during a nice sunny weather to enjoy your meal. The scenery is lovely!
We loved beers we tasted but unfortunately they only sell from the tap. So no take away option. We had afternoon snack, food in the bar section above our expectations. We love their ciders too, but they don’t sell them on their venue either, had to drive to next door to buy the bottles. No online store too, hope they would follow other winery to allow customer directly order beers and wines online (at least I couldn’t find on their website).
We stayed at the Meletos Farmhouse for three nights and had breakfast here daily and came for dinner twice.
The food is exceptional, every single item we ordered was beautifully prepared and presented and tasted amazing. My daily flat white was excellent too! Lovely setting with morning views over the fields. They have a large pizza oven which makes excellent pizzas.
Unfortunately the service during our 5 visits to Meletos was mixed - sometimes is was excellent and other times it was just okay.
Thoroughly enjoyed a beautiful lunch in a lovely setting with good service from friendly staff.
My suggestion is to go during the week if you can as you avoid the crowds and can get a table without having to wait (although we did book this time after past experience). The ambiance is nicer when the place is not jam packed too.
Amazing! The place looks amazing in Autumn. Sam at the bar was such a great host and served us the best wine and food we've had so far in the Yarra valley! Very helpful in our wine selections and the best service we've had in a long time. Could not recommended Meletos and staff, especially Sam, any higher! Will be back!
Meletos offers a classy atmosphere and the food is amazing. The entire restaurant is colossal building with gorgeous glass windows to oversee the breathtaking vineyard view. We opted for the pizzas because they seemed wholesome without breaking the bank.
The pizza crusts were soft and a delight to eat. The toppings were superbly fresh and everything came together in an incredible fusion of flavour. Each bite left me rolling my eyes back in sheer pleasure. The staff are professional and the amazing view of the vineyard made the experience even better. This place is ideal for a romantic getaway as well as suitable for families. Highly recommended!
Very much enjoyed our lunch today. But won’t go on a weekend again. Lunch option is a $50 or $60 option. 2 courses. You can’t share. This was far too much food for 4 people. We would have been happy with 2 buys or maybe 3 and eaten it all instead of sending so much back. Not everyone can eat a entree and big pizza.
The food served at the vineyards has never failed to amaze me. The oysters a fresh and creamy. They have a wonderful way of cookimg the gnocchi. Do suggest to book to avoid disappointment. Has a large open space for the little ones to run around.
Came here for my wife’s birthday, have been before and loved it, but this time not so
Much, the restaurant and grounds are Beautiful, the staff are nice and service was prompt, the Entrees were very nice, we had to have the set menu on the weekends but I would’ve preferred the À la cart menu, The goats cheese and honey was amazing, Arancini balls were tasty, and the pate was quite nice too, we ran out of bread for our meals and they bought us some more which was nice, I had the chicken Brest, was quite tasty, my Daughter had the kids pasta for $16 at rich for what you get but it was nice, my wife had the polenta gnocchi it was tasteless dry and terrible, we informed the staff and they told us that the gnocchi they used to make had been changed only one month ago this restaurant needs to go back to the old recipe as this is not worth the money, my wife couldn’t even finish a quarter of it, after informing the server that it was pretty bad he just said will let the chef know and did not offer any compensation or another meal, my wife was a Disappointed with her main meal, the desert was very nice, I wanted to like this more.
