Meletos reviews
78 Beautiful winery restaurant with views. Perfect for a sunny day out. N eed to book ahead as it can get quite busy.
If you walk in and can't get a table, go to Earnies Bar next door. They offer a pub menu with reasonable pricing from the same kitchen as Meletos.
Super beautiful venue, food was okay but I was expecting better. We tried the 3 course meal: entrees were good, mains were a bit disappointing (mainly the gnocchi, which lacked flavor) and desserts as well (cannoli was good overall, poached pear was pretty bad and weirdly salty). Service was great.
$85 per person three course tasting menu.
Shared entrees x3- quail, carrots and cod- fave was the cod and quail!
Choice of main- we got the lamb and beef cheeks- generous serving and perfectly cooked
Choice of dessert- tiramisu and pear honeycomb yoghurt- tiramisu was better!
Overall pretty filling and yummy lunch. Views were outstanding- be sure to request a window seat to avoid disappointment
We had a wonderful dining experience here. The beef cheek was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the tiramisu was the perfect ending to a perfect meal. After lunch, we took a stroll through the restaurant's backyard, which was a lovely oasis in the city.
Love the juicy, soft and tender beef, match with a glass of red perfect. Don't miss the Lamb which cooked just nicely and blended well with the sauce! Try the toasted bread with goats cheese mixed with honey. Good service. Prefer to sit outside if the weather is good. Overall deserved full stars.
Lovely and bright venue with great food and service. Take a walk around the garden towards the farmhouse there’s also a gorgeous wisteria laden walkway.
Phenomenonal experience, food and drinks were to die for! Would absolutely recommend, dress to impress and definitely on the higher priced end of things. ️
We returned to Meletos after visiting a few years ago with high expectations. Unfortunately though beautiful to look at, the food has gone downhill. I won't go into detail but it's not at all a special meal, especially for the price you pay. If you're visiting for excellent food i'd go elsewhere.
The atmosphere and service is fantastic though!
Great restaurant with a beautiful garden and nice views
But doesn’t take cash which is completely stupid
Wonderful food on a winter's day. Friendly and helpful staff. Great service and atmosphere
Great service, delicious food and a lovely atmosphere. The Goat's Curd w/ truffle honey and grilled sourdough is a FAVOURITE each and every time we dine here. Great for date nights, birthdays, special occasions!
Marvellous! The food the view, the ambienca and the staff did my birthday just perfect! I'd higly recommend this place to go with friends or even in a romantic mood.
Meletos is the place to visit! Everything we had was delicious, the octopus lack flavour but the rest was amazing. Wine was amazing of course. See photos for more.
Service was poor, serving was tiny, the place wasn't young children friendly. We had to ask for various things multiple times during our visit, maybe the waitress was having a bad day. Food was ok and view was nice.
The worst of all, the restaurant overcharged $45 on our bill by recording two 2 course orders as three course meals and charged us am extra dessert when it actually was part of the 2 course meal which came extremely late. Will not go back again.
Fantastic local wine list. The lunchtime set menu is divine. Situated in amongst vineyards, mountains and crisp fresh air.
The set menu was delicious. Some of the best entrees I've ever tasted. The venue itself was STUNNING. Gorgeous decor and calming atmosphere. Not giving 5 stars though because it was a bit overpriced for serving size, the service was a bit slow & they could work on the music playing in the background for ambience
Such a lovely atmosphere, tastefully and creatively decorated. Beautiful meals and lovely service. A favourite go to place in the Yarra valley
Great lunchtime dining experience! Menu options were interesting, creative and high quality. I was really impressed with the coconut cream and almond dacquoise dessert! Service was friendly and efficient! No complaints. Forgot to photograph main course.
3rd Year we attended for Mothers Days and this year was the first time at the Barn. The food for the was amazing and especially the Wagyu Beef, and for share plates at $85 per head was good. However the kids menu was way below standard "incredibly small". Kids were served a desert size bowl with literally a large dish-up spoon "single scoop" of pasta with some Napoli sauce. Within 2 minutes of the food arriving at the table our 7 and 9 years old children had finished their food and were still extremely hungry. Credit to our waiter "who was excellent" after us asking brought more food for the kids. For a whopping $45 per child this is way.way.way.below expectation. I trust in future you will serve a better sized portion and price in line with what you serve. It unfortunately put a damper on Mother's Day.
Delicious food and excellent service. We will be coming back! The location and facilities are also nice, and the gift shop sells pretty decent sourdough.
