Melbourne City Land Rover reviews
78Knowledgeable sales person.but did not like the higher than normal pricing on short stocked models. I was quoted $80K for a new e-Pace Chequered flag edition with a few extras on it but ended up buying the exact same spec car from another dealer for $72,400.
Went to the showroom driving an Evoque and Gabriel made it an easier choice for us to walk out in the new Defender. He has been very forthcoming throughout the process and will definitely recommend him if you are looking at a Land Rover
Thanks go to Gabriel and Ben with my second purchase from Melbourne City Land Rover. This one being a Discovery Landmark. Very straight forward and efficient process and your after sales assistance to my my queries is greatly appreciated.
What An Amazing Service. Special thanks to Matt Fortunato Who has good sense of humour and such a humble person.
I visited just to check the range and offers available with no intention to buy. But this guy had given me excellent service and sold me My Dream suv Discovery.
What i liked is that Matt knew i am there just to browse and still he made me so comfortable and took me with all process. Ian who helped us with all other paper work and nice to see all staff is so helpful
I wish you Matt very great future. Thank you once again for such a beautiful Suv.
Higly recommended this store and specially the man who is very polite and humble Matt Fortunato.
I have not bought this car if Matt you were not there.
Thanks to Gabriel and Ian for a great experience when buying my recent car. Gabriel was really easy to deal with, prompt in replying to call and texts and really friendly. Ian was also really helpful in working through all of the documentation, and both made is a really laid back experience. I would definitely recommend
I have been to couple of dealers looking for the car.nervous and bit hesitant, I was totally overwhelmed the kind of warm reception Personal care and absolutely giving me the privacy between few private talks and confidence to go ahead.
I should commend Matt Fortunato for being humorous and pleasant to deal with. Most important for me is to build the confidence and freeness to discuss all personal concerns which Matt was able to do.
Thanks Matt, Kate and Ian for being wonderful person to deal with. I don’t regret travelling from Northern suburbs to take decision here.
Good work and keep it up Tram Land Rover
Thank you to all the staff such a great experience the moment we got there!
Matt Fortunato in particular was pleasure to deal with, by far the best car salesman we’ve had to deal with. Matt was professional with a great sense of humor and was able to provide us with the car we needed. His knowledge gave us the confidence to go ahead and he made our transition a smooth process. Thanks again Matt all the best to you and the team!
The most unreliable vehicle you can ever purchase. My 2018 range rover sports engine blew up and they did not offer me the deal I wanted not just that they couldn't even do a proper job. They popped 1 of my tyres while being towed they didn't even fix that. I gave my car with full tank (740km) and received it back with quarter tank (260km) who knows where they drove my car to. Lastly my wipers were brand new got it back like they changed it with an old. Will never buy a range rover again nor will I advice anyone to buy one. $145.000 gone right there. RIDICULOUS!
Extremely poor experience in my dealings with MLR.
Agreed on a deal with Andreas who was by the way a pleasure to deal with but unfortunately left the company later, put down a deposit, waited two months for the car to arrive and at the time of signing the contract I was basically told that MLR cannot honor the deal and I have to pay an extra 10%for the car.
Raised the issue with fleet manager who promised he will look into possibilities and will revert back to me, but no one ever called back except for the finance who asked for my bank account details to refund the deposit. Now I’m left stranded without a car and of course no car for the past two month when I was expecting the car to arrive in Australia.
I Called the day before and had my car inspected the following day. I was covered under warranty and very pleased with the overall service. Unfortunately a loan car was not available when I dropped off.
Don't be deceived by the sales side of things. The horror starts when you need to take it in for service or need to get some issue rectified. There are barely any staff to answer the calls and book your vehicle in for service! I called this morning like 5 times to get an issue rectified wrt warning lights. Spoke to the most unprofessional bloke named Sumit who took note of the issue, and i mentioned that there is another issue which is been long due and asked him to have it checked as well. He then started negotiating that i should probably bring the car in some time next week so that he can keep it for the whole day and thoroughly check! Does this mean you guys don't do a thorough job if its not at service for the whole day? Last Landrover for me!
Update: July 2020
It's been a classic display of great customer service by Shaneet and Rachael at ULR Malvern. They have certainly changed my views since my last review with their care towards the service side of things of the beautiful Velar! I had different set of wheels need to be fitted and also wanted to get the tow kit installed. Shaneet and Rachael heard me well and took care of everything from ordering the required parts, booking the vehicle in for installation and the job done was top notch. This experience has been really great and if this is consistent, it will get them a 5 star from me very soon! Thanks Shaneet and Rachael!
I recently bought a preowned Volvo from Andrew Fairman and I have to say I was absolutely blown away by the experience I had with Andrew and LandRover/Volvo/VW City Melbourne. I felt that I was just as valued and appreciated as a customer who would have been buying a $300,000 vehicle. From the first enquiry online, to the very lovely ladies at the front desk, the test drive and how low pressure and easy going the whole sales experience was, really started this ownership experience so perfectly. Andrew really took the time to make sure I was absolutely comfortable and checked off every box with the car. Can not recommend the whole Volvo/Land Rover/VW dealership and Andrew enough. Thank you!
Just picked up our RR Sport. Dealt with Ben Luscombe, he was a pleasure to deal with nothing was too hard.
Ps he makes a great Mocha!
Thanks Ben
Receptionists were unwelcoming, new car salesman didn’t make me feel I wanted to buy anything and I’m still waiting from an email from the used car salesman (I was there 3 weeks ago’) not very professional!
Just had the brakes on my disco changed despite me asking for them NOT to be done. Was told the pads only had 2mm of wear left, but after they showed them to me easily had 4mm. Not to be trusted.
Matt Fortunato was absolutely brilliant to deal with he made the whole process a breeze. He kept us informed all the way and even stayed in contact after hand over, I would highly recommend Matt when purchasing your next car!
Went there to have a look at car start of this year. Sales person greeted and asked which car we looking for? We weren’t sure at that time so we’re looking at different models. Missus decided on Discovery Sports. We asked sales person to give us bit idea of pricing. We sat down to get pricing. He was rushing us as it was 4: 40 and 5 was their closing time. Me and my wife were discussing if we should get Panaromic sunroof or not, sales person goes look if you guys not sure, think about it and come back then we will start again. We felt like he was not much interested specially when customer is sitting there and building car with their own specs and he just shrugged them off. I mention I will trade in my BMW as well so how much would I get for that? He got up straight away and said let’s have a look at your car, I will get details of your car and will give you call on Monday for trade in value.
Didn’t receive any call. Went to ULR Malvern and bought brand new Discovery Sports HSE.
And btw it’s been 8 months sales person never called. I’m glad I skipped this dealer.
Rude, do not want to help unless you look like you have lots of money, take business elsewhere. It’s nice if they treat you like a person not a money bag.
We have been taking our Freelander for service at MCL for 8 years and we were shocked at the cost of its last service which had gone up 50% from its previous identical service 18 months earlier. Additionally the car was returned to us with a damaged spoiler. When my husband returned the car and queried the damage he was told it had been noted by the car washers but it wasn’t reported to my husband at pick up and liability was denied.
There has been none of the usual customer service follow up we have experienced in the past. We will be looking elsewhere for future services.
Purchased a car previously from them so we returned. Spent 20 minutes walking around without a single salesperson approaching us so we had to go inside to ask for one. Then waiting another 10 minutes before a sales person came out who seemed totally disinterested. When we advised him we wanted a demo or pre owned car he went back inside and hand balled us to another sales person, who was better but only just. We then showed him the car we were interested in that we were told incorrectly by the first salesperson was a customers car. The second sales person couldn't make any decisions on his own so had to go back inside to ask what price he could sell the car for. When he returned we were offered a $1000 discount on a car that cost close to $60,000 so we left and purchased another car that day elsewhere. All in all a terrible waste of time. We won't be returning there in this lifetime.
