Melba Restaurant reviews
77Plenty of prawns, crab and smoked salmon calamari, beef chicken turkey lovely salads terrific desserts chocolate fountain which is just the best would definitely go there again.
Pretty yummy! What a treat, a Lindt chocolate fountain! Pancakes, fresh fruit, berry compote, freshly cooked omelettes, poached eggs, fried eggs, bacon, toast, sausages, danishes.very extensive.
Went there on a Friday night for the early session, 5pm. Good selection of hot and cold foods and very large range of seafoods. Sushi, pasta, noodle, naan bread and steak stations.
Stand out for me, by far, was the naan bread made fresh to order, Heaven!
On the other hand the desserts were average at best and the reason this review isn't five stars.
Service was attentive and empty plates were cleared promptly with no need to stack on the table.
Very disappointed it was promoted as a special Halloween night and there was hardly any decoration. Food was avarage and not worth the price.
Beautiful elegant restaurant in the heart of Melbourne, beautiful view! The only complaint is about the waitress they didn't know much about the alcohol list and also the drink arrived after 1 hour.
Great atmosphere, very friendly staff and a wide variety of great food.
Will definitely go back again
The breakfast at Melba Restaurant in Langham Hotel Melbourne was fantastic with amazing varieties of pastries, hot and cold buffet, freshly squeezed juices, cereals, pancakes waffles even with chocolate fountain with strawberries and marshmallows. What a treat?
I think Melba is one of the best 5 star hotel restaurant in Melbourne. The ambience, the food, the range, the staff, the service, you name it, its all there. If you are big on sea food or Indian, this is the place to go. They have something for everyone. The view of federation square and flinders street station from the restaurant is amazing. Must visit!
If you want a fancy all you can eat buffet then head here however, the variety of food available could be way better given the price you're paying.
We went to Thanksgiving dinner buffet and had a really nice time. They served all kind of food from Turkey and ham, sea food, Indian tandoori, Japanese and Chinese. Good atmosphere friendly staff. Hope to visit again.
In my humble opinion the best buffet in town. Sensational range of seafood, varois cuisines and desserts. More expensive around Christmas but well worth it.
One of my favourite places. The buffet breakfast is amazing. Have had lunch and dinner here as well. Which has been great.
Stunning entry and foyer at The Langham Hotel up the grand staircase to Melba Restaurant which overlooks the Yarra River and city skyline.
For lunch the restaurant offers a fresh and varied buffet and there is also table service for drinks etc.
Great place for a catchup with friends.
If you like all you can eat this is a great place but over priced for what you get. Not as good as it use to be.
Vintagers Committee Christmas dinner held at Melba's Restaurant as well as a birthday celebration.
Food was plentiful and very good. Seafood was excellent and the Indian chicken dishes were very tasty.
Service was good.
Super views and great variety, a real fealling of grandour. The food was nice but was not at its best.
Outstanding food with a seafood buffet very much worth the price. Professional, courteous staff at all levels. This restaurant is a real treat.
