The Paella was delicious, fresh yummy seafood with moist and beautifully flavoured rice. Would have gone really well with wine, unfortunately we were driving

Look, I may have had a few tintos (and one or two cruz campos) but there was a moment where I closed my eyes and just about forgot I was in Australia. I was deep in España, stuffed beyond belief - and wondering how I was going to navigate my way through an unfamiliar city. Fortunately for me, the moment passed and found my way back across 400m to the three star hotel at which I'm currently staying. But my dining experience was decidedly 5 stars. Might go back for lunch tomorrow.

Combined with a deli. For 2 ppl we got 5 entrees. With the exception of the grilled octopus (very bland), everything was delicious. Most standout was the prawn swimming in like 200ml of olive oil and garlic, after u eat the prawns u take the oil home to enhance ur own cooking. Chorizo in red wine sauce, lamb kofta and beef cheek, all good picks.

The beef cheek is quite sweet

Amazing Spanish food!
Paella & marinated anchovies. Decoration inside is very lively and the service is great too!
Can’t get it wrong. We’ve been visiting Ballarat for the last 3 months very second week and it is always our last stop before heading back to Melbourne.

Great staff, huge beer and wine menu. Best of all the food. Do the feed me menu. Go there on an empty stomach. They will after you.

Excellent staff, atmosphere, and food!
Everything was absolutely delicious. Fresh, portioned really well and was an all round unmissable experience for the taste buds!

Absolutely can not fault the staff, service like what we received tonight is hard to come by at the best of times, and is next to impossible to find in Ballarat. Everybody is so friendly, and really went above and beyond. Can not recommend Meigas highly enough!

If I could give this restaurant more stars I would.
The food is absolutely devin, the service is excellent and informative and the atmosphere cozy but exciting. Not to mention the best traditional Churros I've had since a kid at the Vic Market hmmmmm.

Amazing and quite authentic Spanish food. Me and another three Spaniards went to Ballarat just to try this place and we love it. All dishes were really tasty, I particularly like "pulpo a la gallega", and Sangría was quite nice.
All staff members were AWESOME (the owner and Carmen were perfect hosts). Gracias por la crema de orujo y las risas.

Great staff! Great atmosphere! Great food! Driving to Adelaide from Melbourne bypass Ballarat. Made a booking along the way and table was ready and waiting for us. Recommended.

Fantastic selection of Spanish delicacies. Cold Estrella, sizzling prawns in garlic and olive oil, oysters, amazing meatballs, patatas braves, jamon and chorizo. Only criticism was the chocolate served with the churros; nice but not traditional. Amazing find.

8 days road trip from Melbourne City along Great Ocean Road to Warrnambool, Ballarat then back to Melbourne City. Desperately looking for something different to eat after 6 days of Western / Italian / self cooked food.
Firstly, the service staff were all friendly and quick to response.
Secondly the food was absolutely awesome! We ordered the Seafood & Chicken Paella for 2 (required a 45 minutes preparation time) and some tapas including sweet roasted peppers, grilled squid and a salad. Every dish was perfect.
Complimentary sour dough bread was served almost immediately also.
We (2 adults and 2 children) polished everything, every single grain of rice.
This is one of the best Spanish restaurants I have been too!

The best tapas in Victoria and probably the best restaurant in Ballarat. From the amazing staff to the beautiful dinning room but most importantly the jaw dropping food. Incredible.
