We had a beautiful Sunday lunch at Marion. We enjoyed a perfectly cooked 650g dry aged rib-eye with all the trimmings, their famous fries, and salads, followed by the creamiest tiramisu. The staff were very welcoming and didn’t miss a beat! Lovely wine list too. Thanks Marion for a wonderful experience

Very cool wine bar with fabulous food and excellent service. Olivia looked after us with perfect professionalism. Highly recommended.

Slow service. It took ages for our food to arrive. Every time we asked the waiter how far off the food was we would just say: oh they're literally just plating it up.and that was it for the whole hour of our wait. Basically treated like idiots. We didn't order anything special, it was simply a portion of fries and a flounder.

A friend joined later, orders a wine. She receives the glass but no wine for at least 20 minutes.

Great service and even better food. Had some fantastic cocktails that helped make the night better.

Impeccable service and food. The front of house staff are so welcoming and attentive. The space is both sophisticated and inviting. I usually don't enjoy drinking and tonight I tried a 'Pet-Nat' which I loved! What a wonderful experience:) Thank you Marion!

Unfortunately my experience wasn't good.
It took 20 minutes to get my wine and we had to remind the staff a couple of times, they asked me what to order without showing me the food menu.
Food was avarage, my friends and I, all had an hospitality background and we are really understanding but we left dissaponted.

Thanks for looking after us so well. It was another lovely Marion experience - a delight to share with interstate guests.

Went here for a few small dishes for snack, including the flatbread recommended by my friend; nice ambiance, and the Beetroot Salad is fantastic; I asked how they would do with Saucission, but the staff thought I want to order sorry for the confusion but I think the staff should repeat and confirm my order before bringing it to the kitchen.

Exceptional evening with professional, friendly and knowledgeable service.

The food was absolutely stunning. Every dish had an x-factor that made it really special. Wines on offer were also spot on. The atmosphere and the service were on par with the whole experience. Wine bar as it should be.

Visited Marion last night after almost a year of longing to go back! It's always so ambient and intimate with lovely attentive and knowledgable staff. The food was remarkable - particularly the waygu beef skewer special, and the bread with fromage starter is always ridiculously tasty. Just love Marion!

Disappointed with recent dining experience at Marion. Squeezed onto a wonky table wedged into a corner. Clearly they had over-booked and we suffered the consequences. Staff seemed to forget all about us and not acknowledge the mix up.
Food was exceptional - squid, burrata and flatbread all highlights - but can only give a 3/5 due to above. Had it not been for that issue, it would have been a great night.

We are a Fitzroy local and excited to get a reservation at Marion’s as its very popular so haven’t been for a while. Did feel like we were lining up at a nightclub and lucky to get in… not really an amazing experience. 4 stars for the Lovely waitress, very attentive. Entree lovely but Unfortunately the main took an hour to come and apparently the kitchen had lost our order, a complimentary glass of wine was given which was appreciated. When the food came instead of the whole flounder we ordered we were given a fish fillet and chips with no explanation? Anyway too tired to discuss in the end.very trendy guys but hey…

Bear this in mind, never left a review for a place before. We have dined at Marion before and have really enjoyed the experience! Although today, we were met with hostility from the host for arriving arriving at our booking time (confirmed through email), with them stating that our time had expired 45 minutes ago. Our dining experience was delicious although we had to chase up several of our dishes (multiple times). In addition, when paying for the bill, the tyro/eftpos machine ran out of charge. Having worked in hospitality I am familiar with how to handle a situation like this - mainly with respect for the diner. Although I was met with similar hostility from the same host and judgement that left me feeling quite uncomfortable. I was really looking forward to a night out with my girlfriends for a birthday dinner. While the food was delicious, I was quite disappointed with the manner that the host conducted themselves with us when we were willing to spend quite a lot of money in support for a local business, post COVID.

Never disappointed by Marion, the food is flavourful, balanced and refreshing. The chef selection menu gives you plenty of food and excellent services. Reasonably priced and totally exceeded my expectations

Fabulous welcome and care from all staff. Meals were exciting and full of flavour. Thoroughly recommended.

Great Ambience and Fantastic Food!

My husband and I went to Marion for our anniversary and loved the service and food. We would highly recommend the bread and steak! If you’re feeling hangry I would recommend two entrees, two mains and a side for two people. We left feeling very full and happy with our experience. I will be dining here again when I come back to Melbourne!

What a special dinner! Got the set menu and defs worth it if you want to give everything a try. The staff were lovely and the ambience was just perfect. Want to bring all the people I love here because it is just that excellent!

Food was good but
the waiter constantly forgot things from our order - she forgot one of our drinks and one of our main meals. I wish they would use their note pad.

Marion Wine Bar consistently delivers great food and exceptional service. It was my first time back after Melbourne’s extended lockdowns and I was happy to see that the high standard of service is still there. The staff are polite and attentive and most of all friendly. Hats off to everyone at Marion, it was good to be back!
