Food was fine. However when we went to the front to pay, our server sprinted over with her own card reader, showed me the total the confirm. I confirmed, went to pay, and she quickly hit a button without asking. Gave herself tip without permission (which is illegal / stealing) and had me pay without us noticing what she had done. Extremely shady

If you are Chinese, don’t eat at Man Tang Hong!
Overpriced and not good! This restaurant has the pretense of being a high level authentic Chinese restaurant but fails miserably to deliver. The worst being the pork belly, tough pork, barely marinated. The worst being the pork belly in Melbourne. Peking Duck was mid, can get much better elsewhere with more generous portions. So many better Chinese restaurants in Melbourne to spend your money at.

Ordered food. Waited 40minutes and nothing showed up. Waiter kept telling us it was coming and then ignored us when we looked at them. Im even chinese so regardless, service isnt great. We ended up walking out as there are plenty of other better options and chinese restaurants in Melbourne than this.

We ordered and told them i can not have capsicum due to IBS. We got beef was told it was just carrots, had some beef but tasted capsicum. Yes it was cooked in capsicum so now will spend our crown night away on the thunder box.

Today we went to lunch, I bring my own Tea. The waiter charge us $5 each even we bring my own, This the first time in Melbourne over charging, that really too much.so everyone been aware of them overing u,

Pretty pricey. Average quality. Not rushing to return to the express side of the restaurant.

Was told to park one of the prams outside when we walked in but the restaurant was empty. Crispy chicken ribs were extremely salty to a point that it was inedible. Informed two staff members and both did nothing about it to rectify the issue. Asked for a second drink when last order was being called and been given a bit of an attitude (waitress asked what do you want with a rude tone of voice) End up getting charged for an inedible dish. Nice decor tho.but the food and service definitely missed the mark. We are travelling from another state and we left disappointed. Should’ve headed down the road to China town for some authentic Chinese food which doesn’t max out your sodium intake.

The food is good… but the pricing is steep and poorly explained. 1 sheet with no images and 3 tiers to choose from. 3 plates later, $70 more will not waste my money there again.

The service here was absolutely appalling. There is just no room for restaurants with bad food/service in melbourne. We headed here after a long week for a celebration. Our drinks order was not taken for over 15 minutes. When we finally got to put in our drinks order, we were then told we had to wait to order our food. The food took over an hour to come out. It was luke warm: our drinks sat on the edge of the bar for 15 minutes. I had to go up and get them!
We then ordered our mains and waited about half an hour. We asked how long they would be because it was so late and the waitress told us that she forgot to order them!
We are so disappointed. What a waste of a good night in the city…

I advised the staff that I do not want onions in my Mongolian sizzling beef, yet here I am being served a plate full of onions! I have come year for years and spend a lot of money and even though I’ve had previous poor experiences, I have given them chances to rectify those experiences by coming back. However, after todays experience, i will never, NEVER be going back to Mantong at crown Casino. I am so disappointed. Extremely shocked that they did not take my dietary requirements serious.

The staff also began to speak in their own language once I advised them they had put onions in the food. It was very obvious that they were speaking about me.

Nevertheless, I definitely will not be coming back.

The food was nice, the service and attitude was the worst.
If you're paying the price they ask for the food you would expect a better dining experience. I also don't like leaving a restaurant thinking I won't be going back there again.

Very bad food I got sick after dinner my stomach aches and vomited all night nearly 4 times. Please make sure they giving good food before eat.

Overpriced and reheated frozen slop. Dished up by arrogant waiters. You're better off getting a chinese meal in the food court below.

I have been to this restaurant many times the food is BEAUTIFUL! But there service is terrible, not only did they forget a dish but not even an apology or a replacement. Very un welcoming right from the start and not interested at all. Was very disappointed on my last visit (Tuesday lunch)

If you have the numbers book a private room. There were 8 of us and we had the set banquet. Brilliant. Can not fault the service. Our host was brilliant. Highly recommend

Great food but the waiters spilled water on us… twice. Also watch out for 10% weekend surcharge, which added $30 to our party’s bill.

Food was lovely but we found the service was a little lacking. We asked to order drinks because no one came to ask, and when we asked the waitress screwed up her face as though we were asking a terrible question. Then the same thing happened again. Food order came out and was wrong order too.
Other than that Food is worth it

I went to my friend's birthday dinner and ordered a few things. Everything tastes all right, not special. Schechuan (not sure if I splet it right) chilli oil was tasty though. It usually mixes with won ton but we asked to have sauce separately.

I wouldn't get through all dishes without that chilli oil (not the normal one on the table) as they are quite plain. Prawn with garlic and butter is just that.prawn, garlic, butter and no vegetables. Service was okay. Decoration is quite nice like you know that you're un Chinese restaurant. Of course, it's a little overpriced for the taste of food but it's in Crown casino so understandable. Would I come back? Maybe.not but it's convenient though if you go to have fun at Crown.
